My iPhone 5 has been freezing up and my lock (top) button doesn't work 50% of the time..Am i able to get a replacement free of charge?

I pre-orded the iPhone 5 and got it a week after they came out and every since I have been having problems with the lock button. It seems to only work the first time I push it 50% of the time. On top of that, my phone keeps freezing and I don't know what to do. Am I still eligible under warranty to get a replacement??

If it is defective and your within your warranty period then they should replace it. But , have you went trhough all the trouble shooting steps such as,
1)restart your phone
2)reset your phone by holding down the home and off button until the apple symbol comes up
3)restore your phone in itunes from your backup, then if still not fixed, restore as new

    If your contacts are synced to your computer then they are in the supported app you are syncing with.

    My MacBook pro has been freezing up and giving me an error message.  I did the disk repair and reboot in safe mode for it, and then I restarted it in regular mode.  Still crashed and told me to hold down the power button to restart.  It seems to only do it while I'm using the Internet.  Any suggestions?

    The only way to locate/disable/erase any lost/stolen iPhone/iPod Touch is through Find My Phone or a similar app. However, this requires that Find My Phone be setup/activated, on your phone, before it was lost/stolen. You would then login at iCloud.com & try to locate it. This requires the phone be turned on & have an Internet connection. There is no other way to locate a lost/stolen iPhone. Apple can't/won't help you, nor will your carrier. Report the loss to the Police, your carrier & Insurance company. Change all of your passwords.
    If your carrier offers Blacklisting & they Blacklist the phone, it will be unusable as a phone.
    If locked with a passcode, all a thief or whoever finds it has to do is force the phone into recovery mode & restore it. While this deletes all data on the phone, it also removes the passcode so the phone can then be used as a phone or touch.

    If DL is not working properly for you the way around this is to export from Premiere to either mpeg2-dvd for DVD or BluRay H.264 for BD-disks and import the files in Encore.

    If you have not done so remove any files relating to iWork and Keynote and reinstall iWork
    files that must go are:
    the iWork ’09 folder from the main HD > Applications;
    the iWork ’09 folder in HD > Library > Application Support
    the individual iWork application plist files found in HD > Users > (your account) > Library >

    There may be other ways, but the best way I've found is:
    Set up an iCloud email account so that you can use the Notes part of this service.  Note that I said "iCloud email" not "iCloud" ... you need to enable the email service of iCloud in order to get the iCloud Notes feature.  Otherwise, the "Notes" app on your device will only store notes on your device, or maybe sync them with some other email account (e.g. Gmail, Yahoo ... but does so poorly IMO).
    On your Macs, set up the same iCloud account as on your iPhone.  Now that you've set up the email part of iCloud, you can enable the Notes feature of iCloud on your Macs.
    Be sure to set iCloud as the default account to store your notes, in case you have other email services with a Notes feature.
    New notes that you create on any device will sync to each other.
    Notes that you created before doing all this cannot sync to your Macs, since the notes were not in iCloud.  Just turning on iCloud Notes does not cause them to enter iCloud and sync -- you'd have to copy and paste them into a new note, after ensuring that iCloud is the default account for any new notes.

    Ok, for like a month and a half my iPhone has been having a lot of issues. It suddenly turns off, and takes ages to come back to life, it freezes, the touch-screen does not work, it exits applications and music, etc. It does crazy things.
    I took it to the genius bar and they gave me a brand new iPhone. Ok. So I went home and I synced it with the backed up information. It was working well when it did not have the backed up information and a couple of minutes after syncing it started doing the whole thing.
    Has anyone had this problem too? Do you know if this is a software issue? I have reset the phone many times before and it did not help.

    It seems, restoring from your backup copied corrupt files back to your phone. Transfer your purchases and restore the phone "as new iphone". Then start syncing the apps back, it might as well be an app causing this behavior.

    Without a working lock screen button, you'll probably have to wait for the battery to go dead.  Once it doesn't wake up by pressing the home button you can plug it into a charger and it will eventually reboot.

    Use virtual power button. Settings App > General > Accessibility > Assistive Touch > ON > Device > Lock Screen. This can even turn iPhone OFF. To turn iPhone ON, connect to power, charger or USB of computer.

    Sleep/Wake button will not lock or unlock iPhone
    1. To lock the phone, press the Sleep/Wake button. Note: By default, if you don't touch the screen for a minute, iPhone locks automatically.
    2. To unlock iPhone, press the Home button or the Sleep/Wake button, then slide the slider.
    3. If either of the above steps don't work, try turning iPhone off and then on again.
    4. If the iPhone will not power off, reset it.
    5. Try to lock or unlock the phone.
    If you continue to have issues, we may need to isolate the issue further to determine if it is hardware related. The best way to do this would be to restore your iPhone as new:
