My iphone doesn't appear in my itunes when i try to sync,does anyone have a solution?

This has never happened before, the last time i synced my phone to itunes was a month ago and it worked fine.Can anyone please help?

Did you already make sure that Apple Mobile Device Service is installed and active on your computer?
