My Iphone doesnt start normally it turns on, shows the apple logo and then turns off again but only while its charging. Before it turned on completely and i saw the charging tag that it was chraging normall but then it turned off again? I have tried totall reset nothing works! Im lost please help!

Its 9 months old mobile and it has OS 4.2 in it.
When I am accessing wi-fi, suddenly the display went-off and then I was not able to start my phone again.
Later I tried to restore and update the Iphone using Itunes.
I have updated the Itunes.
Using hard-reset, I tried to restore the OS and did the same successfully.
After installing the same over my Iphone 3G, I didnt recieved any intimation for completion of the process, besides, I was not able to start the mobile even I have reset the OS.
when I push the wake-up button, I am able to see the Apple Logo and after some time, it goes off and remains idle with no more display.
I tried to reset OS twice, it remained the same.
Can any one help me here with this issue.
I am not even able to figure-out the cause of the problem.

I suggest try getting it back to your stock iOS and forget about jailbreaking.

Hi, after searching the internet for a solution, i hope one of you guys can help.
Well, when i start Remote on my iPhone iTunes detects the Device, and im able to enter the code in iTunes. But when im trying to connect to my library, my iPhone just won't do it. I tried to turn off my Firewall, but still the same problem. I tried to open the Ports, but nothing helps.
Does anyone has a clue what i could try to make the Remote working?

I'm wondering if I'm the only one that has a problem when using the phone while it's connected to the charger. I will try to text or attempt to go into an app and the phone takes me somewhere else or it will just not recognize my touch. Anyone else? Should I take my phone back?

Mikey, I have the exact same problem. Dropped my 3gs on Thanksgiving, phone was not responsive, plugged into the wall charger, went to grey iPhone restore screen, then said to connect to itunes. So I plugged it into itunes but itunes wont recognize it nor will my computer. I searched the internet for hours with no success. I tried to change USB ports and cords, tired removing the SIM card, reinstalled itunes, everything. When I put it in DFU mode itunes recognizes an iphone in recovery mode, so I click restore and update, then I get error 1602 every time. My iPhone also loses power when I unplug it from the wall. I do not know what to try next. You are the only person I have found with the same exact problem I have. I will update you if I find a way to get my phone working again and I hope you will do the same. I'm very frustrated

No it doesn't. Sometimes it make a sound that it should when connecting but that is it. Never actually charges or syncs. And it is a brand new cord.
