Perform the following, stopping with the first one which works:
1. Open the Mac App Store's Purchases tab. If you're prompted to accept it into your Apple ID, do so.
2. Move it out of the Applications folder(it may need to be put into the Trash temporarily), and then see if you can download it for free from its individual product page. If you're asked to buy it, see #3.
3. Click here, contact Apple, and wait for a response.
4. Buy it.

If there are multiple apps trying to download at once, only one can download at a time and the rest say "Waiting" until it is then their turn. Try this. Double tap the icon of the Waiting app, and it should resume the download.
If that doesn't work:
• Log out of your iTunes store account. Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out Then press the Home button.
• Then press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously and don't release them when it brings up the Turn Off screen; keep holding them until the Apple logo appears.
• After restart, the Waiting should be gone.

I also am getting this message. I bought my 15" mac book pro mid 2010 and at the same time purchased iWork. It is not showing in my purchases on Apple ID, I have never changed my Apple ID since purchase. Why would my Apps not show. There are some there but mostly free ones. I checked it under the Store menu after signing in.

This can occur if you bought the machine used and iLife was reinstalled with another AppleID.
This also can occur if the "free apps" you downloaded have paid upgraded versions and/or are now payware and you can't get updates.
All software from MAS is copy protected, it might be free as in "no charge" but it's not free in the sense you can share it with others.

I am trying to download new version of iTunes from App store having purchased it on my laptop. When I try to download on my iMac I get the following message:

Also, since upgrading to Lion my videos (from Sanyo Xacti camera) do not play on iTunes. I can only open photos.

I've been trying to update my apps, and each time I press update, this message pops up: This update is not available for this Apple ID either because it was bought by a different user or the item was refunded or cancelled.

The same message pops up for apps I have yet to download. I was able to update all my apps yesterday, but now, I can't even download new apps on my iPhone 5 and my 5th generation iPod Touch.
