My ipod is stuck on the adapter image after the update

I downloaded the update a few days ago along with the itunes update but my ipod only shows two images now, the one of the adapter and the apple logo when it first turns on...so i plugged it into the wall but that has had no effect. my computer doesn't recognize it and neither does itunes, ive tried resetting it also but to no avail......any help would be greatly appreciated :\

I tried it again with a new plug, same outcome, im pretty sure my ipod is receiving power from the outlet though because its normally turned off before i plug it into the wall and then turns on after i do

you can do is go to ijailbreak.com then select downloads section.......scroll down and see the latest version of ipod touch second generation is available for download.....when it gets downloaded connect your iPod to itunes or keep it connected then hold option and click restore (mac) search the software by writing in search "iPod" a thing with white cube will show up if it is the file you just downloaded click it and wait for itunes to do its work......you can ask more if you are on windows

The only thing you can do from here is plug into itunes and restore the device. You will lose all your content but you will be able to use and resync your device.

Back it up and restore it using iTunes on the last computer it was synced with, as explained at the bottom of this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212. This will remove the passcode; at the end of the restore process you will be given the option to restore to the backup you made at the beginning.

I'm not sure if there really is a way to "fix" it without diassembling the iPod in some manner. Perhaps you find or use some sort of tool that can attach itself to the center botton and allow you to pull up to try and pop it out. Kind of like the way a plunger works, but I don't know if you'll be able to find anything that small. :S
Perhaps it would be worth it to send the iPod to a third party service company who would be able to fix it at a pretty reasonable cost. A simple Google search for "iPod repair" should give you a number of results to work with.

Can anyone help me with this issue???

Connect your iTouch to your PC then open iTunes, if iTunes does not recognize your device, try to hold the SLEEP Button and the HOME button at the same time (iPod Reset) for a couple of seconds until the "Charging Tone sounds, now you should be seeing your device name in the iTunes " Device List". If you do, just click RESTORE and iTunes will automatically restore your iTouch to original set-up and download the iOS6 update.
