My Ipod is stuck on the apple screen, and i've tried EVERYTHING

Let me vent a bit before my question:
I have had my Ipod Nano sent in 3 TIMES FOR REPAIR.
But they keep sending the original product back, still in non-functioning condition.
So, I sent it one more time.
I got it back today.
I plug it into my computer, and after about 45 minutes, my computer FINALLY recognizes it.
So I figure we're back in business.
Then, I start to update, and its says that it can't because it can't be read or something. (after it said it updated like 10 songs or something)
So then I reset the Ipod.
Now its stuck on the apple screen and I can't get it off.
I am so frusterated, you can't even imaginnnneeeeee how ****** off I am.
This freaking Ipod has been in shipping more then actual play time.
So then I made another request just now for repair, and it says that it already has a repair out, but my ipod just got back today..
So.
Could you please help me out here? I'm a little erked.
Thanks, Caitlin.

have you tried connecting it to a/c power and not USB? Resetting in both cases? Letting the power drain? Ipod firmware updater?
I would call them again and get a supervisor or something.

  • My Ipod is stuck on the apple screen, and continues to reboot itself without managing to reach the home screen

While updating my ipod earlier, I turned it off, since it appeared to be going nowhere (realizing now that I shouldn't have), and since then, the ipod has shown ust the apple logo for a long time, then a blank white screen for about 3 seconds, and then back to the apple logo. I've tried plugging it into the computer and all, but the computer doesn't react, leading me to believe that it's not noticing the ipod. Any ideas?

    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer

  • My Ipod is stuck on a white screen and i have tried everything!

i tried to open a new app and it started to load but then went to a white screen and i cant push any buttons. How do i fix it?

First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
Finally, if the Restore doesn't work, let the battery drain completely.  Then recharge for at least an hour and Restore again.

I'm not looking for any warranty help or something, I just want a diagnosys of my phone's situation....
My phone is acting as if there was no battery in the phone. When there is no cable plugged, nothing happens. When there is a cable, something happens (not a lot though....).
Could it be the battery port on the motherboard that's down ?
PS : I've taken a Genius-bar appointment because I can't stand in that situation for years, so I'm not absolutely looking to gain money and avoid Apple's official help.

  • My iPod touch is stuck on the apple screen, and will not show on the computer.

I went to pick it up and try to turn it on, and it wouldnt work.  I called and they told me to press power and home buttons and hold.  It worked, now it is stuck on the home screen.

Is it stuck on the Home screen (Screen showing all your apps) or on the screen that shows an apple?

  • My ipod is stuck on the apple logo and won't connect to itunes

So hey guys, I tried doing everything to fix my unresponsive/frozen ipod touch 4th generation, but nothing seems to work. I remember the last time it worked was when I was restoring it but then I did the thing where you would hold the power and menu button which got me stuck to the apple logo (when it boots up) Now nothing works because I tried resetting and I can't restore because my ipod doesn't seem to be recognized by itunes but yet it charges. My last hope would be either return this or get an answer from one of you guys. Thanks!

    - I would try placing the iPod in recovery mode and then see if iTunes will see the iPod.  try both with the iPod not connected to the computer and with it connect. For recovery mode see:

  • My iPod is stuck on the Apple logo and won't do anything! It won't turn on, doesn't give me the option to power it off, and to top it all off, it's not being recognized by my computer OR by iTunes when I plug it into my computer.

So yeah...last night I was checking out my iPod (bored at the in-laws) and all of a sudden the screen went blank and the only thing I can get it to do is have the black screen w/ the white apple logo on it. It won't turn on, doesn't give the the option to power down, it won't charge, AND it's NOT being recognized when I plug it into my computer. Not by iTunes OR my computer. I've tried holding down the top button and the home button at the same time...nothing. And since it's not being recognized on my computer, I cannot restart it or go back to factory settings. Someone please help! I've had it for 18 months so the warranty is no longer valid and I don't know how to fix it. THANK YOU in advance!

  • My iPod is stuck on the Apple sign and I believe i've tried EVERYTHING!

Right, I think my battery died the other day, I put it on charge when I got home. And it took me a while to realise it hadn't gone to the original main screen. At first I thought it might just need resetting so I tried that and it just went back onto the Apple sign.
I got kinda worried, persistantly trying to reset, obviously wasn't making a difference.
So I let the battery drain, after charging it back up, still no difference.
Then after the Apple sign flashing a few times I noticed the "Use iTunes to restore" sign, I then linked my iPod up with the computer, used all the steps from the website to restore, then it just started going round in circles, and after restoring it once it kept telling me I needed to do it again and again.
Then I browsed the website for a while and came across the 'Disc mode' for when you can't get rid of the Apple sign. So I followed those steps for it and I thought I was getting somewhere, it seemed to wipe all my songs, it told me my iPod was restored and stuff.
Then, I took out the cable, resetted it again, and it still wasn't working.
The Apple sign still constantly just flashes.
And yes, i've tried the common sense things, restarting my computer, changing the form thing via control panel etc.
Anything else I can do that I haven't tried?
Or do you think it's damaged?
I really need answers fast guys!
    Would be much appreciated, thanks.

Seems that the OS is there (with your iPod) but just fails to boot it up completely. Have you tried to do a Restore with another computer? Prefer to put it into disk mode before doing the restore.

  • My ipod is stuck on the apple logo and nothing is working

The screen on my ipod touch just went black and then came up with the apple logo after I plugged it in. It has been about 20 minutes and nothing has happened. I've tried resetting it but nothing is working. Please help. Thank you so much!

If a hard reset does not work, try putting it in DFU mode and restore it.
