  • My ipod won't connect to itunes because of my stupid passcode!!

Hello everyone, don't mind about the word "stupid" well it has been a year that i can't use my ipod because it can't connect to itunes. First if all, my ipod isn't charged so often... so, one day i charged my ipod and there is a screen that means that i need to "connect to itunes". I went on my computer, opened up itunes and connected the ipod to my computer. Then a message pops up and says: "This ipod can't connect to itunes because it has a passcode. So i have to put in the password so it can connect" I can't connect it because the screen on my ipod says i need to connect to itunes so i can't put in my passcode. I don't know whats wrong with these kind of devices, and i'm not very lucky because the ipod that i have, it doesn't belong to me. my dad found it in his cab. and he gave it to the cab's company for 2 weeks, the owner did not come to take it. so the company gave it back to my dad and my dad gave it to me. and if i give to the apple company, they will know the real owner and i would be in trouble.

Place the iPod in recovery mode and then restore. For recovery mode:

  • My iPod touch is disabled and has a passcode but it won't let me type in the passcode it's stuck on connect to iTunes screen help!!!!!

My iPod touch 8th 3rd gen is stuck on the connect to iTunes screen and won't let me do anything and iTunes won't restore it or do anything because there is a password on it and I can't type it in on the touch since it's stuck on this screen help please I've tried doin the power and menu button to restart it and it goes right back to connect to iTunes someone please helpme

Try again placing the iPod in recovery mode.  It can be tricky. The computer should say it discovered an iPod in recovery mode.  Recovery mode bypasses the passcode (and erases the iPod).  If not successful, try placing the iPod in DFU mode.

  • Two new iPod touches: one set up via wi-fi the other will only connect to iTunes on a computer to set up. Does the 2nd have the old iOS?

Two touches for kids for Christmas. White one set up in about 5 minutes out of the box using our home wi-fi. Turned on the black one and it only shows an icon to connect it to the computer and iTunes to set it up. This is a problem since we don't have our laptop available right now. I'm disappointed because I had read so much about this new iOS 5 and the ease of set up without the computer. Does this mean that our black iPod touch does not have iOS 5? If I plug it into iTunes later will it look and act the same as the white one ?

Susan, the OP(original poster) can't access the iPod to check the verson.
For the OP, I would assume that it does not have iOS 5.  Sorry.

  • My ipod touch got stolen and when i got it back it said connect to itunes how do i get my apps and information on it back while restarting it through itunes?

my ipod touch got stolen and when i got it back it said ipod disabled connect to iTunes how do i get my information from notes, contacts, etc. and apps on it back while restarting it through iTunes?

Connect the iOS device to your computer and restore via iTunes. Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode if necessary to allow the restore.
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

    For how to restore:
    iTunes: Restoring iOS software
To restore from backup see the following. This will get the iPod like it was when the backup was made. This is you only possible way of getting your information back since when the iPod is in recovery mode (the screen show conect to iTunes) the iPod is already erased.
    iOS: How to back up
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

  • My ipod touch is showing a screen that says it needs to be connected to itunes

my ipod touch has a screen saying tht i need to connect it to itunes but when i plug it in my computer it doesnt show up and the screen doesnt go away. i dont know if it's a problem with my ipod or with my computer. please helpppppp

    - You can try another computer to help determine if it is a computer problem.
    - Also try:
iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows

  • IPod Touch not recognised on Windows 8 and will not appear as connected in iTunes.

Usually when I plug my iPod Touch (4th Gen) into my laptop (Windows 8) it appears automatically on iTunes for me to sync. However, when I tried to do this today, iTunes did not recognise that a device was connected and this was confirmed after I did a diagnostic test. Windows recognises that an iPod has been plugged in, however where it usually says "Alicia's iPod Touch", it just appears as "Apple iPod" and when I click on it, I cannot access any photos/videos that I have on my iPod. Any help would be very much appreciated if anybody know how I can fix this. Thank you.
