Did you make sure that the brightness is turned up to max in Settings/Brightness?
Is anything covering the brightness sensor?

Screen brightness affects battery life. Dim the screen to extend the time before you need to recharge iPod touch, or use Auto-Brightness.
Adjust the screen brightness: Go to Settings > Brightness and drag the slider.
Set whether iPod touch adjusts screen brightness automatically
Go to Settings > Brightness and turn Auto-Brightness on or off. If Auto-Brightness is on, iPod touch adjusts the screen brightness for current light conditions using the built-in ambient light sensor.

See if you can fix it by resetting the device.
To reset, hold the sleep and home button until the Apple logo comes back again.
If this does not work, set it up as new device:

ipod 4 is displaying blue frozen screen and black screen with apple logo. I try to turn power off but as soon as it goes out it automatically reboots. Plugged it into the usb port on my mac and it doesnt do anything. It doesnt appear in Itunes. Help?
Let the battery fully darain. After charging for an least an hour try a reset and restore. Use Recovery mode if necessary.
If not successful, then time for an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. -

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

We have two new ipod touch 4th generation. We do not want icloud as both ipod touches are attached to same email and both kids are getting each other's messages and apps. Please help.
I am having similar problems I believe the devices are specific to the initial itunes account that they are set up on. The only thing I can think of is to set each one up with its' own account. Apple devices seem to need to have dedicated itunes accounts. Sharing of accounts between devices doesn;t seem to work.
Maybe someone else has a better solution? -
46G300U1 - Try to turn TV off, but then it turns itself on again
Symptom
1. When I turn off the TV, it turns off, and then turns itself back on (equivalent to a "Restart" on a Windows PC).
2. This also happens when it in Sleep timer mode, i.e. The timer turns TV off, then the TV turns back on.
Frequency
1. Does not happen all the time.
2. Seems to have started when the new "Wii U" is connected to it. But even then, it does not happen all the time.
My Workaround - Physically unplug the TV from power, then plug it back. Then it is back to normal.
Any one have any ideas?I'm having this problem, started about a week ago. I tried a factory reset and it did not help. I have model 46G300U1. Unplugging the TV is the only way that I know it will stay off.
TV will randomly turn itself back on. It does not always happen after a few seconds. For example, last night I turned off the TV and sat in the same room for a few minutes and it did not turn back on. However, when I checked this morning, it was back on.

I am using Firefox in a Windows 7 64-bit environment. I have what I feel is a fairly standard set of programs installed. MS Office, Adobe Photoshop, Nero Burning ROM, Diskeeper... etc. And I have the latest regular version of Firefox installed, version 3.6.13.
And lately 2, out of 3, times I close Firefox it must not be closing correctly. But I cannot tell until I need to reopen it. Then I get an error message saying that it's already running and I should close the "current instance" of the software. Now I can either start up the task manager and kill it ... or I can restart my computer. And I've done both. But it keeps happening.

Yah so i play music and it stops like in a middle of a song and annoys me just upgraded to iOS5 and didnt happen until i upgraded?
