My itunes comes up with this when i try to download purchased songs: this devise is already associated with an apple id. this devise can be used with another apple id in 82 days. i need help to see if i can fix this problem please.
i have an iphone 4s i signed out of my itunes on the devise and my friend signed herself into ituned but i signed her out an myself back in but my purchased songs and tones cannot download. it gives me a message of:this device is already associated with an apple id. this device can be used with another apple id in 82 days! is there anyway for me to fix this or override something. im freaking out!!
Sorry: once a device has been authorised for a particular iTunes account you can't change it to another until 90 days have passed. This is to prevent people cirumventing the restrictions of purchases to one account from consteantly swopping between accounts. You will have to wait for the 82 remaining days, and there is no workaround.

- To change ID go to Settings>Store and sign out and sign in with the one you want. If you iPod has iOS 5 you may have to also go to Settings>iCloud and sign into the second account.
- Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.
- To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account. -
I have just required a second hand mac and when I try to download a song or import a cd to iTunes an error notice says that I am not priveledged to make changes? The preference settings and apple I'd seem to be ok. How do I fix this?

I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.

Can't add music my iPhone from iTunes.
When I try to drag a song over to my phone, I get the circle w/ the syncing line through it, but it does not update/load.
[Manually manage music and videos] is checked. And, this is the only Mac I have ever used to add music to my phone.

Have you tried resetting the device (nothing will be lost): Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Apple appears (up to 30 seconds). Once the Home screen redisplays, see if your Music app is behaving normally.

My email address has changed and when I try to play purchased songs it asks me to authorize another computer under the old email address. How do I play the music that I have purchased? My account is current with the new email address.
You may have already done this, but try de-authorizing your computer (through the iTunes:Store menu) and then re-authorizing it.

When I try to download a song from iTunes or try to buy an App, or even purchase an extra set of lives on Candy Crush (!), I get an error message - 'Unknown Error'. Anybody have any ideas?
Try this and see if it helps. Refresh your iTunes account. Sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to purchase again. -
When I try to download a song or a video on my ipad it starts to download and then before it finishes it stops and says download error. Tap to retry. Any suggestions on how to fix this error and get my items that I purchased to download?

This computer is authorized, auoto download is enabled and I can download on my ipad without a problem.

If you are getting this error message just when attempting to download previously purchased music (new purchases work fine), and it's only occuring on the computer (redownloads on the iPad work fine), it may be a permissions issue. You don't need Adobe AIR to download or install Adobe Reader.

I try to redeem an iTunes GC and I get a "Session Has Timed Out" Message. The same thing happens when I try to download a song, after I'm taken to the SLA page. I sent Apple Support an email. They told me its software on my computer restricting access to my Internet Connection, but I haven't installed any new software since my last purchase from the iTunes Store. When I try to download a song onto my iPad from iTunes Match, my iPad says "Cannot connect to the iTunes Store" even though I have a perfect Internet connection.
Try a power cycled of the iPad.

When I try to download a song I receive the following error "A required component is not installed. Please repair or reinstall (-42404). I have tried to reinstall and still receive the same error.

When I try to download a song, the file is corrupt
When I try to download a song, it says that the file is corrupt and the error number is -100000. I looked at the support articles and did what they said, but nothing helped. I was able to download other songs, just not this one song. The error message says "The file seems to be corrupted".

If the website does not allow downloading you cannot download the song. Or the website might have a special URL for downloading the song. For example, you watch videos at YouTube.com bu to download them you need to go to kissYouTube.com or saveYouTube.com
