My itunes wont open at all, it starts to load then just goes back to as if i didnt try to open it. it wont even open when i connect my ipod

I am unsure what happened to it, it started doing this yesterday but worked the day before. i tried to reinstall itunes and it didnt work doing it that way either. any help would be extremely helpful, i would like to add new music to my ipod.

Then proceed to repair your QuickTime on Control Panel>Add n Remove Programs(XP) or Programs n Features(Win7/Vista)>highlight QuickTime, click CHANGE button, then REPAIR.

ITunes not opening when device connected

About a week ago, iTunes stopped opening when I connected my iPhone. If I then open iTunes manually, the device will be recognized and will sync. I checked in the system preferences and my Login Items had iTuneshelper checked, but the icon was a blank piece of paper and on the righ margin there was a yellow triangle with an exclamation point in it.
I don't necessarily want iTunes to open when I connect my iPhone, but I would like to be in control of if it does or doesn't.
How do I set this straight?

Select the iPhone under Devices left side of the iTunes window.
Select the Summmary tab from the menu.
Select or deselect: Open iTunes when this iPhone is connected
And from the iTunes menu bar click iTunes / Preferences then select the Devices tab.
You can select to have the iPhone sync automatically (or not) there.
Or, right or control click the iPhone under Devices then make a selection.

When I try to open my games it acts like it wants to open but then just goes back to the symbol page.

When I try to open my7 games I can't. The icon blinks like it is going to open and then just goes back tot he home page. I think my music may be playing all the time how do I turn it of?

OK, just remembered that someone had posted a solution for this "login loop" issue.
If you follow the directions here and be sure to enter all of this EXACTLY as it appears here, you may be able to solve this problem.
You will first need to boot into single user mode, which will bring you to a scary looking text only screen. Don't be frightened.
To do this, startup holding the Cmd-S keys together. At the entry which shows root# enter the following exactly. Write it down now, since you won't be able to copy/paste. Pay attention to case and spaces. Everything is lower case. The only spaces are between /sbin/mount and -uw, between -uw and / and between rm and /var/audit/current
Type in
/sbin/mount -uw /
Hit return and then at the next root# prompt, type in
rm /var/audit/current
Then hit return and at the next root# prompt type in "reboot" no quotes. Don't type in anything new until you get the root# prompt after entering each command.
If after entering rm /var/audit/current, you get a message back saying "no such file," then just type in "reboot" at the prompt.

Why won't iTunes automatically open when I connect my iPhone 6

iTunes is set to open when I connect my phone but will not do so. I have to physically go to the program and open it each time I connect my phone. This also happens when I connect my iPad mini. This began when I upgraded to the iPhone 6. Before upgrading I did not have this problem.

Prevent iPods, iPhones, and iPads from syncing automatically
Prevent devices from automatically syncing with this iTunes library when a device is connected. To sync a device, click the Sync button when the device is connected.

Some web pages start to load then just "blank out"

When I go to some of the www.foxnews.com articles/web pages, the pages starts to load, then blinks, and starts to load again then goes blank. I went to the Actions window on the top most menu bar and saw that this is the last thing loaded. So I am guessing that the last thing shown as being loaded is causing the page to go blank. Any ideas as to why this is happening? I have updated both flash and shockwave players to the newest version. All Apple software is up to date.

when i plug my ipod in, my computers goes ding saying that a device is connected. then, it dings 3 additional times and then itunes doesnt open. my ipod starts to charge and i cant open itunes manually either. Please help. ive checked the wires for the usb and their fine. my computer is virus free too. what could be causing this unconnection to itunes.

ITunes no opening when phone connected.

I have two iPhones running from one account on a PC and using iPhone 3gs with 3.1.1. When I connected the phone to the PC it always used to open iTunes.
Now in iTune under 'Options' the option to ' Open iTunes when this phone is connected' is grayed out.
Is this because there are now two iPhones on the same account or another reason / solution?

My iTunes used to open and start syncing immediately I connected my iPhone - now it does not.
I've made sure the 'open iTunes when this iPhone is connected' box is ticked, switched off the iPhone and restarted it, restarted my MacBook, reset the sync history, deleted podcasts, restored the iPhone - nothing works.
Is this an iPhone OS 4.1 issue?

I'm having the same issue. There is an "iphone assistant" walk-through page I've gone through but the steps ave not seemed to work for me. I deleted and reinstalled the latest iTunes, but when I plug in... nothing. The most I get is when my iphone is off and I plug in to my mac, it will turn on. No charge.

Screensaver problem: screen goes black to start the screensaver then immediately goes back to the desktop

This may only happen when there is an app using full screen (iTunes in my case). How can I fix this?
