Okay -- it fixed itself. Without any intervention, after all else had failed, and I was willing to live evermore with vertical searches. If only everything else in my house mysteriously recovered from the broken state.
Have no idea what was/is going on with the disappearing keypad.

Both need to be in the lobby, and searchable at the same time. Also, if either has been paired with a keyboard or headphone since you played, go into settings, and make sure those devices are unpaired, and not interfering with the process.

You can use these steps to check if images are blocked:
*Open the web page that has the images missing in a browser tab.
*Click the website favicon ([[Site Identity Button]]) on the left end of the location bar.
*Click the "More Information" button to open the "Page Info" window with the Security tab selected (also accessible via "Tools > Page Info").
*Go to the <i>Media</i> tab of the "Tools > Page Info" window.
*Select the first image link and scroll down through the list with the Down arrow key.
*If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "<i>Block Images from...</i>" then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.

You need to put the Tiger Install Disc in the 2011 iMac, boot the 2011 uMac into Target mode...

Boot the G4 holding the Option or alt key, hopefully the Install Disc in the 2011 iMac will show as a boot choice.
We just want to use the 2011 iMac as a big expensive FW Optical drive, it cannot be installed osing the 2011 iMac itself.

Did this shuffle previously work with this computer, and it does not now for some reason? Or, are you trying to use this shuffle with this computer for the first time?
If it's a new shuffle, be sure to completely insert the USB cable's connector into the shuffle's headphones jack. The fit may be tighter than expected, especially when brand new.
When you connect to the computer's USB port, does the shuffle's light do anything?

if that doesnt help look at replacing the batteries in your magic mouse and try it then
if the issue still presists take it into a apple store and they can test it there to see whats up

on all the devices involved, settings, photos and camera - make sure photo stream is on, and make sure you are on the same cloud account, with photos in the clound settings on. you might want to toggle those setting off then back on, in a attempt to reset the condition.
