My limited warranty (1year) expires in a week, and I want to know if...

My warranty expires next week for my iPod Touch 4, specifically on the 21st.  I want to send in my iDevice but I'm worried that by the time Apple gets it, my warranty will be void and they won't fix it because it's out of warranty.  What can I do to guarantee a repair?

Call apple and see what they would do.
In terms of the future, you can still purchase the applecare, once the 1 year passes you no longer have that option.

If it was originally sold in the U.S, then the warranty is only good in the U.S

  • How to use 1-Year Limited Warranty on defective earphones with Remote and Mic?

Hi everyone. I am wondering how I get my pair of earphones I bought last week at Best Buy "serviced" because the left side is not working correctly - it makes a strange humming sound when used on all devices I own while the right lacks the sound. I have the box of the product, the product itself but lack a recipt, but can prove I bought it using my Credit Card statement.
Does anyone know do I get my earphones serviced/replaced etc. under the warranty?

Take them to your local Apple Store/Genius Bar and show them the headset.  Shouldn't need a receipt.

  • Hello, i bought iphone 4s from uk but i am going to australia next week ,i just want to know if apple store in australia will replace my iphone 4s because it's lock button has stuck..plz help me out

reply as soon as possible as i am really worried it is still under warranty only 3 weeks to go..

iPhone warranty is country specific, except for the EU, where warranty is EU wide. You may or may not get service in Australia, so don't be surprised if you don't.

  • Help! When I load up iTunes from my computer, it says iTunes has stopped working, a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. It's been doing this for the past week and I don't know how to fix it. Help please?

    Help?

This may occur if you are connected to the Internet and iTunes is trying to connect to the iTunes Store and fails for some unknown reason.
    Try this:
Quit iTunes and disconnect completely from the Internet.
IF you have an iPhone (iPod etc), open iTunes. Sync the device.
    Re-enable your Internet connection.
    Quit iTunes.
    Open iTunes again.
If this does not work, try completely uninstalling iTunes, then reinstall it according to these instructions:

  • Hi guys I am looking to buy a MacBook pro next week,I am wanting to know if I can just connect it straight to my Bt wi-fi network or do I need a airport eztreme as well? Any advice  Thank you

    Any advice cheers

You should be able to run all of your devices through either the BT router or the Airport Express. As Bob says, running both will complicate matters. You will have to make sure to configure them correctly to work together. When your Airport Express arrives, you may want to consider asking in the Airport forum and maybe the iTunes Home Sharing forum. It isn't a MacBook Pro question. I know nothing about AirTunes, but there are many people in those forums who do.

  • Stuck in Warranty Limbo - Need RMA for MFG limited warranty - Z10 Black Screen - USB not recognized (yes I've tried all the tips from other posts)

Here's to hoping a Blackberry employee reads this and can help me out.
I'm stuck in warranty limbo with my unlocked Z10. Bought new off Amazon.ca beginning of April-2014. While on Vacation the phone blue screened and died. It's outside of the online retailers 90 day exchange policy, in which case all I have left is the manufacturers limited warranty. Tried to contact Blackberry and they directed me to my carrier Telus, even though I did not purchase the phone through them. Telus was very helpful, we worked through troublshooting together, but unfortunately got to the same conclusion that the phone needs to go back for a hardware issue. They kindly offerred to RMA the phone for me through their system, however since I did not purchase the phone through them and it is an unlocked world phone it does not recognize the IMEI so they couldn't complete the process for me. There is absolutely no luck getting any help through any of the multiple Blackberry phone numbers I've called. Any help sorting this out would be much appreciated. I will drive the phone to the office in Waterloo if need be.

You're probably going to have to drive the phone to Waterloo.
Here's the situation: You bought the phone from Amazon which has a 90-day exchange warranty. That's mistake #1. Then you registered  the phone for service on Telus' network but the phone wasn't purchased from them so they won't honor any warranty claims (which is their right because they didn't make any money from your purchase of the phone from them). You're in a catch-22 situation. There's really nothing I can advise you to do except buy your next phone from the carrier with which you have monthly service.
Not much help but that's how I see it. Perhaps others can enlighten me with a different point of view. Cheers.

  • Logic Pro 7.2 full EDU shows that the demo will expire in 17 weeks

    Hi all!!
like I wrote in topic. My Logic Pro version 7.2 EDU which I updated from version 7.1 EDU (did install only with 7.2 install and 1.2 content disc) shows in the splash screen at startup that its a demo version and it will expire in 17 weeks, and if i like it I should buy it.
I have already tried to update the xskey but its already uptodate.
How can I fix the demo message???
    Plz help!
    Thanks

    nfr = not for resale
You shouldn't expect support from Apple. You could expect support from your contact or rep. This key is provided, for example, to retailers - for demo purposes. The person you received it from is your contact.

  • X axis to represent Yearin weeks and months ?

I want to create an X axis to represent a year in weeks and months.  Anyone know how please ?
The current limits of 10 max for major and minor will not allow a sensible scale or grid.

    You made two mistakes.
    (1) I don't know how many times it will be necessary to repeat that _date-time items aren't numerical ones._
Given that, the chart use them as labels, not as numerical values.
    (2) You didn't read carefully the User Guides which states that each point requires a pair of values.
You tried to chart three columns when four are required.
Here you may see the way date_time values are treated.
In Tableau 2 I added a column calculating a numerical value describing the date_time ones.
    To do that I use:
    =1+DATEDIF($A$2,A,"D")
    in B2
    then I apply fill_down.
    And I use = B in column D
I added 1 to DATEDIF so that the numerical value matches the index of the day in the month.
I'm no sure that it would be a good idea if dates span on several months.
If you wish to display the dates on the X axis, you will be forced to use a text box like the one which is displayed.
To adjust the spacing I played with the attribute: "between".

  • Can I set my macbook to install updates at a specific time? My internet is limited through the day but between 2am and 7am it is unlimited?

My internet is limited through the day and I want to know if I can set a specific time for updates to be carried out to make sure my macbook is working efficiently.

Yes. When you get a notification that an update is available, select "Try Tonight". That will constrain the update to occur between 2:00 and 5:00 AM.

It would be best to post this question under iTunes category. I am sure there are a few people having the same type of problem.

  • My limited warranty seems to have expired before 1 year of purchase date, why? also, can I still purchase AppleCare?

So I purchased my iMac in the first days of December 2010. It's not a year since that and today when I checked the support status, it says it has expired. Does anybody have an idea of what happened here? Also, could I still be able to buy AppleCare? I read that you can purchase it up to a month after the limited warranty's over, but I don't know if that's still possible today. Does anyone know? Thanks.

This is what I found on Apple's Support page.
    5. Can I extend service coverage on my MacBook beyond the 1-year warranty?
The AppleCare Protection Plan for MacBook extends hardware repair service and technical support coverage to three years from your MacBook’s original date of purchase. You can only purchase the AppleCare Protection Plan while your MacBook is covered under Apple's One-Year Limited Warranty.
    You can look there, too.

  • My refurbished rMBP 15" has a stuck (white) pixel and is still under the 1 year limited warranty, can/will Apple repair it if I go to an Apple Store?

Hi, my refurbished rMBP 15" has a stuck (white) pixel and is still under the 1 year limited warranty, can/will Apple repair it if I go to an Apple Store?
I just discovered today that my MacBook has a "stuck" pixel. I read that the display has to have at least 5 dead/stuck pixels else Apple is not going to repair it, is it true? My warranty expires in 1 month so I can't really wait for 4 more pixels to die or get stuck.
    Temporary fix:
I know that this is something I can't really repair myself, but I tried some things such as changing the display resolution to it's "Full" 2880x1800 resolution and It actually reduced the size of the stuck pixel.
    Thank You,

    Hello etienne255,
After reviewing your post, I have located an article that can help with questions concerning pixel anomalies:
About LCD display pixel anomalies for Apple products released before 2010 - Apple Support
If you suspect your display contains a high number of pixel anomalies, take your Apple product to an Apple Authorized Service Provider for closer examination.
