My lost blackberry curve is still receiving instant messages without the sim card. how to disable my number from that device
i know longer have my blackberry but the new owner is continuing to receive my personal text messages from my contacts list. i do not have any bbm account and there is no data on the phone. only wifi . please help me stop this from happening. i dont know the imei of the blackberry. im very scared. they are usuing my personal information against me.

All of those Seller steps, of course, should be done before the device is delivered to the buyer. After that point, there is nothing you can do, unless you happened (still before) to have installed BB Protect onto the device, in which case you could use the tools it has to perhaps wipe it now.
All in all, this is a difficult lesson for you to learn...giving away personal information is something that no one should ever do, and yet exactly what you did do.

Contact your wireless carrier as VoiceMail is a feature they provide.
If you changed providers and that is why you changed sims, your old
voice mail is with your old wireless service and probably unrecoverable.
If you did not change wireless service, their help line should be able

You don't need to start a new thread to continue a conversation, you can just tack onto the original one. The settings I referred you to are for the Blackberry, since that's the device which is not receiving mail: anything which is working can be left alone.

When attempting to set up iCloud on my iMac I receive the following error message "To use the 'iCloud' preferences pane, System Preferences must quit and reopen."

log-in to your iCloud account with your Apple ID
change your password
ensure your billing information is up-to-date

I originally restored my phone after music and videos iTunes said had synced were not showing up on my phone - sorted that problem, now this.
This may sound dumb, but if you can't send or receive any texts at all, someone in another thread mentioned shutting down, taking out the SIM card, reinserting, and rebooting. If that doesn't work try putting the SIM in another phone then putting it back in the iPhone. If it still doesn't work ask the provider for a new SIM.
Also, I don't understand why iPhone doesn't allow MMS without data. MMS was DESIGNED to be sent as a text message and it works on regular "dumb" phones with no data. This is not new technology yet iPhone is purposely blocking it. That is ridiculous. You can see from the following table that this is what Apple wants:

(As a side note, you can also see from the table they are intentionally blocking the ability to send a text to an email address even though that too is not a new feature, and that too works in other phones.) -
I have a macbook pro and on accident deleted ichat but reinstalled it using the cd, when my buddy list comes up, i try to double click my buddies name to start a chat and nothing happens. i could receive instant message but cant start my own or reply. someone please help!

DId you download and Install the COMBO version of the last Update that you did ?
iChat on the Install Disk is likely to be several versions behind where your OS has been Updated to.
It needs to Match the OS level.
iChat Updates come in the OS Updates.
You need to run the Updater manually as Software Updates keeps records of what it has done and thinks iChat is up to date.
If you are on Snow Leopard then the COMBO version of 10.6.7 is here
If you are on Leopard then the COMBO for 10.5.8 is here
Googling Mac OS X 10.x.x COMBO where x.x is the version you are up to will generally find the link to the right page if you are at a different OS version.

Receiving Instant Messages on Desktop, Windows Pho...
I am at my laptop and I have Outlook.com open and I have my Windows Phone and I use the desktop app to send a Skype Instant Message. The replies then come back on the desktop app, my phone, and Outlook.com. Is there anyway to have the messages notify me just the device on which I am typing/replying?

you should already now only receive notifications on the platforms you are actively using. If you haven't been active for a few minutes on any Skype endpoints we'll start sending notifications to all Skype clients again. If an iPad was lost or stolen and the person who has it has changed the SIM card, would we still be able ot track it on iCloud? Also would changing the SIM card result in a response "offline" on the iCloud?
Welcome to the community.
Changing the SIM, will not stop the phone being tracked. It can even be tracked when there is no SIM at all in the phone. -
I dropped my phone yesterday and now can't receive mail. I removed and then replaced the sim card. I've restarted the phone. It says the user name or password is incorrect. I re-entered the correct information (I think) and I've also synced it with my computer. Nothing works. Help!
Delete the email account and re-enter it from scratch.
