My mac mail is now offline. The pop up says There may be a problem with the mail server or network. Verify the settings for account or try again. Any one know how to get my mail back on?
I down loaded the new free os x yosemite today and now my mail is offline. Several pop ups that say there is no connection.

I have not changed a thing and now I have no emails coming or going. Since it is my communication line to many of my clients, I am in need of some answers asap.

I recently have been trying to find out why my email won't go online. A window pops up stating The identity of "pop.qwestoffice.net" cannot be verified. The certificate for this server is invalid. You may be connecting to a server that is pretending to be "pop.qwestoffice.net" putting information at risk. It asks to connect anyway? Anyone out there have a clue? I am losing my contacts with my clients.

Hopefully it isn't too late for this but: before performing an update it is really best if you close all apps (double click the home button, click and hold on one of the apps that appears at the bottom of the phone until the red minus sign appears and then tap the minus sign until all apps are closed) and then turn the phone off by holding the standby button until the slider saying "slide to power off" appears and slide it to turn the phone off. Then turn the phone back on and hook it up to your computer to sync and perform the upgrade. This also helps if you do this before performing syncs too. I had problems with an iPod previously where it would fail to backup before sync most times, but have never had a problem with updates or syncs since I started performing this procedure. Unfortunately, your pre-update backup may have failed and the data in your apps might be gone, but you could try to restore your phone. If I remember correctly how to do this, you connect it to your computer and check for updates. It should say you're up to date, but have an option to restore the phone. If it does, I'd try that. It may also have a "restore from backup" option you could try.

Does any one know how to get my Genius Apple Apps screen to work? Genius is Blank now regardless of how I enter the option. My upgrades, purchased, featured and searches all work in Apple Apps app. I have checked my settings for a possible fix to no avail. Tried all hand motions to see if they would fix or help and of course they did not. My Genius worked with some real possible apps I might want, now - absolutely nothing. Any solution that is actually possible will be appreciated.
You need to be quite a bit more specific. What exactly is the Desktop manager doing or not doing? You have a Pearl....what model? Look in Options >About and tell us what model you have and what OS it's running. Also, what version of Desktop Manager, OS on your PC, etc.

The server returned the error: Service temporarily unavailableAlso if I go to system preferences accounts and re-enter the password it fixes the glitch sometimes.

I know this is a bit of a strange question, but i have seen people using the smileys on face book, but every time i try to get them they dont work, i was just wondering if any one knew how, i thought i would put it on here as i have got a lot of helpful tips on here for alot of problems and you guys know what you are talking about,,,

smileys are a sequence of chars like ;-¶ which the internet site or program like a chat program replace with an image typically a small gif image
is your problem that you want to save those images to your harddisk?
is your problem that you wish some other program then facebook to replace the smiley chars with the images that facebook use?
is your problem that when you type on facebook your smileys are not replaced with the same images as others (in which case you should prob as which signs they type) -
I did the 7.1.1 update on both my iPhone 5s and on my iPad. The calendar on the Iphone no longer shows me a list of upcoming/past events. I still can get this info on my iPad though. Can anyone tell me how to turn this feature back on so I get get the list using my iPhone?
Tap on a Day to put it in Day view then tap the icon on the top right that looks like three dots with lines after them.

I recently purchased and downloaded an audiobook to my ipod. I would like to get it on to my computer but its not in my library!!! Can it not be uploaded to my mac? i plugged in my ipod to my computer and it transfered my purchaces over except my audio book... help!!!!!!
Was this audiobook downloaded from the iTunes Store? If so, try redownloading it via iCloud in iTunes on your PC. See here for more information.

Launch Adobe Reader/Acrobat.
From the menu, choose Edit -> preferences -> General
Uncheck the option for "Enable Protected Mode at startup"
Restart the Adobe Reader and web browser.

I downloaded Yosemite and I use CS5.5. after much wrangling with Java I can now open photoshop, illustrator and indesign.
However acrobat 10.1.12 as soon as I open a document it crashes 5 seconds later. Any one know how to fix this?Hi ,
