My macbook is not noticing that i am the owner and its saying my sister is the one according to 'my card' . how do i change this?

recently purchased the macbook pro. when setting it up i placed my name and details into the registration as asked. The mac is using my email and my iTunes account no problem however when i click to type my details into sites autofill comes up but it isn't my name, it is my sisters. how do i change this contact card to be my own name rather than hers. we have no link with any apple products nor does she have access to this macbook or my phone or iPad.

Go to Safari>Preferences>AutoFill and edit the information

Transfer the purchass by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
In iTunes 11 use Control+B to show the Menu bar then go to iTunes>File>Devices>Transfer Purchases
If not transferred, the purchases will not be on the iPod after the update.

Try an SMC reset, which can often fix that: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964 . Note as you scroll down, there are two sets of directions for MacBooks, depending on whether you can remove the battery or not.

I need to log in to a website that expects a case-sensitive name ID, and FF is not allowing this - it is defaulting to the lower-case version of the word I am entering. How do I change this?

A website that I use (forums.garmin.com) requires the user to log in with their user name in all upper case characters.
My user name is the same on multiple sites, so when I try to enter this name in upper-case, FF 4b12 automatically changes it to lower-case on tabbing/clicking off the field.
How do I stop this happening?

You can only save one name for a web server (domain). If you need a different spelling for some specific login then you can't use the Firefox password manager to store multiple names and passwords.
If you did save more than one versions of the name (uppercase and lowercase) then you need to remove the others.
* Firefox > Preferences > Security: Passwords: "Saved Passwords" > "Show Passwords"

Did you try Safe Mode?

Thank you very much for your reply. Not sure, however, that we are talking about the same problem.
I am trying to perform the same function in Lr that I have been doing for many years in the past and has only been a problem in the last few days (possibly coinciding with upgrading to Yosemite, trying to find out whether that is the problem)
I am not intending to sync any files with Creative Cloud but only trying to use 'Synchronize Folder' function in Lr. Normally, I would right click on a particular folder in Lr catalogue and click on that function to check that the Lr Catalogue is perfectly matching my drives where the original photos are actually stored.
The problem that I only started to encounter is that I can see the files on the actual drives but they do not appear in my Lr Catalogue and they are completely invisible to Lr. I simply can not get Lr to recognise them and then import them to catalogue.
If for example, I export images to Ps and then save and close them, they do appear on my drive but are invisible to Lr and I can't get them imported into the catalogue. Import to folder also not producing any results as they are still invisible to Lr.
Completely baffled by it. Any idea what could be the reason?

1. iTunes won't offer cloud downloads for songs that it "thinks" are in your library, even if it "knows" the files are missing. If you've exhaustively searched for the missing files and there is no prospect of repair by restoring to them to their original locations, or connecting to new ones, then delete that tracks that display both the missing exclamation mark and are of media kind Purchased/Protected AAC audio file. Don't hide from iTunes in the cloud when asked, close iTunes, then reopen. You can download from the cloud links or iTunes Store > Quicklinks > Purchased > Music > Not on this computer > All songs > Download all.
2. Why? Not sure, perhaps 3rd party tools or accidental key presses combined with previously hidden warning messages when trying to organize the library. There is a hint that using the feature to downsample media as it is synced to a device may also be involved, though I've not replicated it. Whatever the reason a backup would protect your media.

I have verified the sharing folder and also the remote access but it not let me turn it off.
Also I have add a password to my computer and even using the same one it looks like is not working.

The computer is mine, the internet I use is payed by me with a password. I did not give permission to anyone to use my computer or share my files.
In system preferences in the sharing folder is showing everyone and staff.
My computer is private I do not own a company and I do not have a network set up in my house.
I had my photos removed from my computer and even after trying to reinstall I photo and fix the Mac Mail is not working.
I am receiving emails saying that I have sent emails to people that I do not know and including in a time where I am working and not using the computer.

With the multitude of issues you have I would take it to an Apple store or AASP and have them sort it out. Then I would sign up for Apple camp or one on one.

Hi I am also in the UK, but not with Tiscali and am having the exact same problems. I can also send with wifi, but not 3G. I have tried amending all sorts of settings, including those above and amending the smtp server to the settings for my provider, but all to no avail.
It is thoroughly frustrating, as I cannot send emails unless I have wifi access.
Any further suggestions would be very welcome.

You cannot use that ID without a credit card. You did not create your account correctly. There is very specific way in which you must create your account if you do not want to use a credit card. If you don't have a credit card, you will have to start all over again.
1. You will have to sign out of that ID before you can create a new one. Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID>Sign out.
2. You cannot use the email address that you used for the first ID that you created. You will need to use another email address now
3. You have to download a free app in order to start the new Apple ID process.
Read this before proceeding.
