  • My Nano is not being recognized by itune or charging

Someone please help my Nano is not being recognized when i plug in. Itunes or is not charging. I cannot sync or anything,

    Hi,
I just bought my 2nd gen ipod 2 GB nano from someone who won it in a raffle. I plugged it into my computer and asked it to sync my songs. It immediately synced all 520 songs and startted charging. It says "do not disconnect". It has been charging for almost 24 hours now, and still says "do not disconnect". How long does the first charge take? Is something wrong?

  • My ipod nano 5th gen. wont turn on and is not being recognized on my mac or itunes

my ipod nano 5th gen. wont turn on and is not being recognized on my mac or itunes

What have you tried so far in terms of troubleshooting?  After leaving the Nano to sit and charge for at least 30 minutes, try resetting it by pressing and holding both the Select/Center and Menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear. You'll want to make sure the Hold Switch is not in the On position as well.

  • TS3716 ipod nano is not being recognized by iTunes.

My ipod nano 2nd generation (and working perfectly) is not being recognized by iTunes.
    Any suggestions?

    Does the iPod work OK?
Have you tied resetting the iPod? Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch:  Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Next would be to place the iPod in recovery mode and then restore via iTunes.  If iTunes does not see the iPod then the iPod is not usable. For recovery mode:
iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to update or restore

  • TS1567 iPhone not being recognized by Windows 8 or iTunes

My iPhone is not being recognized by my Windows 8 laptop, or itunes. I have used the original cable and a new one. Both cause the computer to ding when the phone connects, but i cant find the phone ANYWHERE. I have stopped and restarted the Apple Mobile Support Service. And restarted my laptop.

All needed drivers are installed when you install iTunes and QuickTime. Try to reinstall the Apple software again, as explained in this article:

  • I am trying to download itunes 10.6 and keep getting this error message, "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable to a folder containing installation package itunes64.msi".  What do I need to do?

I am trying to download itunes 10.6 and keep getting the error message "The feature you are trying to use in on a network resource that is unavailable. Enter alternate path to a folder containing the installation package itunes67.msi".  Where do I find this or how do I get it?

"The feature you are trying to use in on a network resource that is unavailable. Enter alternate path to a folder containing the installation package itunes64.msi".
Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

  • Why can't I uninstall itunes and reinstall it? It says; The feature I am trying to use is on a Network Resource that is unavailable.

Hi,  I can't uninstall the older version of itunes along with some of its componetnts in ADD/Remove programs in Control Panel. I would like to download a newer version of itunes but I keep getting a dialogue box which reads 'The feature you are trying to use is on a Network Resource that is unavailable. Any ideas how to resolve this?

It says Click Ok to try again or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package itunes64.msi in the box below

    (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.

  • I am trying to update iTunes and am getting an error message The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable

Hi, I am trying to get help with an update install of iTunes. When I opened iTunes the other day, it told me there was an update to version 10.6.1. When I tried to install this version I received the following message " The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. I tried to uninstall iTunes, and it would not uninstall. It gave me the following message " The path C:\documents and settings\network service\local settings\application data\apple\apple software update\iTunes.msi cannot be found. I tried running Windows fixit, but this did not solve the problem. Can anyone tell me how to finish uninstalling the old iTunes file, so I can reinstall the newest version? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
    Regards, Paul

  • My ipod nanos are not being recognized in iTunes. I have tried everything! Changed the drive letter, the disk to FAT32, resetted it, downloaded itunes again, but nothing has worked! HELP please.

Somehow my nano now lost all its music so now its empty!  Also, before windows used to recognize my ipod and i'd get a pop up saying "open to view files" but now I don't even get that anymore. I have also tried syncing it by putting them in disk mode but NOTHING has worked. I am getting so frustrated.
I followed all of the "steps" on the apple support page but none of that has worked too. PLEASE help me because I literally feel like just throwing my ipods out the window. I never had this problem before.

When you connect your iPod to your PC, what appears on the iPod's display?  Does the iPod charge when you have it plugged into the PC?
Are you running the latest version of iTunes (10.6.3)?  It wouldn't hurt to also make sure your Windows OS has all of the latest patches and updates as well.
I assume you have plugged the iPod ino different USB ports located directly on your PC and tried using another 30 pin dock connector cable to rule out the possibility of a bad cable?

    Hi, SFletches.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If your device is not recognized by iTunes, I would recommend the steps in the article below.  Start with the section labeled Verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed > Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 > If the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is not listed > Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8.

  • HT1494 My old iPod nano is not being recognized by my computer.

I recently lost my iPod touch so I am trying to move my music to my old nano. However, the new iTunes does not recognize it and also says I have only 1 device registered to my Apple ID... I have tried different USB ports, resetting my iPod, charging it, disc mode, updating iTunes, and resetting my computer, but nothing works. Any ideas?

Try the following and then try a restore:
    - A reset.
Reset iPod touch:  Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Placing the iPod in recovery mode.  See:
