It depends which generation of iPod Touch you have.
The 2nd generation Touch can only use iOS 4.2.1 as the latest version. You can identify the 2nd gen Touch from the model number etched into the back of the case, it's A1288.
The 3rd gen Touch (and above) can install iOS 5. The 3rd gen Touch has model number A1318 etched into the back of the case.
(The 4th gen has a camera, front and back.)

Is there a way to determine which camera was the source for video clips in iMovie? You can do this in iPhoto by clicking info but I can't find out how to do it in iMovie.

I was trying to Import photos to my computer and was asked to upgrade my Iphone before importing. In restoring my Iphone, it deleted all of my 200 new photos and they are now gone. Is there any way to retrieve them?
You should ALWAYS import all pics ( and anything selse for that matter) before any update.
If you failed to do this, then the pics are likely gone. You can try restoring from backup. -

You can't transfer to another Apple ID. You would have to sign in under your account on the computer and then download the content.

I accidentally washed my 6th generation iPod nano. It will turn on still but now it has a computer screen setup on the screen, is there a way I can get it back to normal? Purchase Mac OS X 10.8 from the Mac App Store. If it reports that 10.8 is incompatible with the system, choose About this Mac from the Apple menu. If the computer has a Core 2 Duo or better processor, phone the online Apple Store and order a download code for Mac OS X 10.7. If not or you don't want to upgrade, check sites such as Amazon or eBay for the DVD.

I dont know a lot about computers so please go easy. I have videos stored on my Windows 7 PC. can they be transferred to my IPad2 so that I can watch them?
I use a Mac so I don't know precisely how it's done on a Windows box. Nevertheless, you should be able to drag your video into iTunes' Movies section or Podcasts section at the top of the sidebar.
Any video must be in a format acceptable to iTunes and your iPad. If they aren't, then you need to get a utility that can convert them. I'm not familar with Windows utilities but I'm sure there are many that will work. -

then restore the new backup and sync pics back to phone via itunes

In iTunes, Click your name/email that is directly to the left of the search bar.
Click account info.
Sign in.
Click this button where the mouse is:
(the screenshot is from an older iTunes on windows, but it is the same on the new versions)
Done!
You can only use that button once per year, so try to remember to deauthorize computers before you get rid of them. -
