My Panel cannot get focus

Hi! I created a panel with Adobe Configurator2.0. Within the panel I used a HTML widget. But when I run the panel in Photoshop, the webpage in the panel cannot get the focus. Is it the way or I did something wrong? Thanks!
James

Do you mean the web page displays but you can't navigate in the page or.....?
Have you enable allow extensions to connect to the internet under plug-ins in the photoshop preferences?
Here's a test panel of this web page so it can work.

  • Accessibility: Cannot get focus on text on Random Quiz

    I have created a Question Pool of 24 questions. The quiz randomly selects 10 questions.  When the first question's Submit button is pressed, the focus goes to the next question's radio buttons (answers), not the text (the question).  Is there any way to direct the focus to the question before the answers?  I tried re-ordering objects on the question slide, but the Order options (Send to Back, Bring to Front, etc) are all grayed-out.
    Help me Captiv8r, you're my only hope.

    Mike,
    Yes, we were sold a bill of goods.  I wish the Cp dev team would have people with disabilities test Captivate.  I think they'd have a BIG surprise realizing that there's more to accessibility than just 508 compliance.  If Adobe is serioius about going after the state and federal government markets, they'd better get their product on par.  As it stands from an AT perspective, it's almost useless.  With the threat that we can be sued if websites and training is not accessible, this is a real legitimate concern.  Take the lawsuit a few years back where Target was sued for their website not being accessible.  It cost them 6 Million in damages.  Adobe Captivate Dev Team... are you listening???
    Any how, thank you for the tip on re-ordering the quiz elements.  I'll have to give that a shot.  I wish there was a way to make our voices heard besides the feature request form and this forum...  championing a cause like accessibility needs more of a platform than that... but it's a start nontheless.

  • Can't get focus in JTabbedPane

    I have several tabs in a JTabbedPane. Each tabb is hotkeyed to "1","2","3", etc. The left and right arrows keys are remapped in this way:
    mainTabbPane.registerKeyboardAction (PrintHi, KeyStroke.getKeyStroke (KeyEvent.VK_LEFT, 0), JComponent.WHEN_FOCUSED);
    And I have an AbstractAction like this:
    AbstractAction PrintHi = new AbstractAction ()
    public void actionPerformed (ActionEvent e)
    System.out.print ("Hi");
    The problem is this. On each tabb I have several JTables, JLabels, JTextAreas and other stuff showing information. When I select/edit something, like a JTable, the arrow hotkeys stop function. It seems to me as the last selected JTable still has the focus and won't let it go. So when I press arrow keys, the arrow keys is directed into the JTable instead? Dont know if it so, but that is the impression I get.
    The weird thing is, the hotkeys for the different tabs works. If I press ALT + 1, the first tabb pops up. But the JTable is still selected. And the arrow keys is directed into the JTable.
    Anyone has pointers and hints?

    Ok, I apologize for not having explained my question completely. This is exactly what I am trying to do:
    When I press the arrow keys, they will print out a message. After I go to the 3rd panel and choose a combobox, I go back to the first panel and the arrow keys suddenly stop working. Why???
    (It is as if the 1st tabbpane has lost the focus, and cant get it. The focus is stuck on the JComboBox. When I switch back to 1st panel from comboboxpanel, I want the 1st panel to get focus, and hence the arrow keys will work again. When I choose the 3rd panel the arrow keys can stop work, that is ok. The important thing is that when I switch back to the first panel, the arrow key must work again. In an ideal world, the arrow keys are tied to panel 1 and panel 2. Hence, when I switch to panel 3, the arrow keys will stop work. When I choose panel 1 again, the arrow keys must work.)
    Sorry for making it difficult for you to help me. I really appreciate your effort. The thing is, I am starting a software company and am supposed to deliver the first version tomorrow monday. And everything works ok, except this CENSORED hot keys. Making me really stressed. Well, anyway I have specified the question better now. I really hope you can point me in the right direction on how to solve this problem.
    Is there a way for the shown panel to get focus? When I switch to panel 1, it gets the focus? Or should I try to tie the arrow keys to panel 1? Or should I tell the combobox to not respond to arrow keys? Which way to go?
    Please execute the program and see if it is only me having a problem?

  • Cannot get MacPro to allow me to boot to an alternative boot disk. Can choose in control panel but will not use the disk to boot. Also won't boot using disk selected using option key

    My primary boot disk is encrypted as is a secondary boot disk (backup) but I cannot boot using any other disk. System 10.8.5, MacPro 4.1.
    All disks mount using primary boot disk. All disks check out as OK and I have repaired permissions.
    When I choose in the control panel the Mac boots but will always use my original boot disk.
    When I select the disk using the option key at startup, the boot process stalls with a grey screen and a spinning cursor.
    Thanks,
    Dave

    Still trying to figure this out. I erased the drive, did a format using disk util and then re-installed the system but I still cannot get the disk used as a startup drive. I also tried an external firewire drive and it won't allow me to boot from it either.
    I can choose it starting up with the option key but it just gives me a blue screen and the spinning cursor.
    If I select it in the startup pref pane it boots into my other startup drive only.

    An update.
    From iCloud Control Panel 2.1.1 for Windows
    "iCloud Control Panel 2.1 and later includes support for Windows 8"
    but you still need to set it up on a Mac or iOS device, "Note: To create an iCloud account you need an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 5 or later, or a Mac with OS X Lion v10.7.5 or later."

    I have two faults! 1, an error comes up in Ps CC 2014 "could not apply the saved panel configuration, restring to default and my tools have disappeared completely and anything ive tried I cannot get them back not even the drop down menu in 'window' helps at all. And 2, Lr everytime I load it up it gives me the option to retry or switch to and it takes a while for me to even get anywhere with it I think it has something to do with the catalogs? I've been using these programs for a few years now on a Mac...no problem but when I use a PC when I'm away coz it's the (only) comp available these happen PC's are so useless! Please can anyone help??...

    I can give a few suggestions on Photoshop CC 2014, but Lightroom is a separate forum and you should ask Lr questions there.
    First close Photoshop.
    Then start Photoshop by double-clicking on it's icon and very quickly after that, hold down the ctrl-alt-shift keys until you see the reset dialog. answer "Yes" to delete settings, and let Photoshop continue to load.
    It's tricky to do and may take a few tries, but at least it should reset Photoshop CC 2014 to defaults.

    I cannot get my MacBook Pro to print greyscale on my Canon MG6450. I cannot access the printer driver panel on the Macbook. So I am stuck printing everything in colour and cannot specify which pages I want printed.

    Try resetting the printing system:
    OS X Mavericks: Reset the printing system
    Next try deleting the system and reinstall the printer..

  • Visible panel Size : cannot get it

    Hi,
    I'm trying to get the visible size of a JPanel (which is contained in a JScrollPane) but I cannot get the correct values.
    I want to know what is the visible size (not the total size I can view by scrolling the pane, just the visible when the window is openned), in order to decide how will place the components inside panel. If you see at the image , I want to know what is the size of the orange panel, assuming there is not scroll bar.
    If I use getSize, getPreferred size for this panel or for the viewport of the JScrollPane which contains the orange pane, width and height I get are the total width of buttonPanels (>3000px) plus some more pixels and the height of one buttonPanel (120px) plus some more pixels. The same if I use the size, preferredSize of viewPort of the JScrollPane.
    I need to know the value of the panels height and width without scrollbars in order to decide how will show these buttonPanels on that panel. I'm trying to get these values after the JFrame.setVisible(true) but get the values I mentioned above. In case I write it this way
            setExtendedState(NORMAL);
            setVisible(true);
            setExtendedState(MAXIMIZED_BOTH);
            redrawMainPanel(getContentPane());the windowState changes two times and the properties size, preferredSize have been updated, so I get the total width of all buttonPanels and the height ~600 wich is the actual height of that panel for my screen. Even that is not enought because firstly I don't want the total width of the panel, but just that I see on the screen when it opens, not by scrolling it. Same for height. By using twice the setExtendedState I can get the correct height but I think if there were many controls so as vertical scroll bar to be shown, I would get a height greater than that of ~600 px I get now.
    Is there any way to have just the size of the orange panel you see on the image?
    Thanks in advance!

    Andre thanks for your help but didn't succeed to get the values
    In the constructor of my class there is
           setExtendedState(MAXIMIZED_BOTH);
           setVisible(true);
           redrawMainPanel(getContentPane());The redrawMainPanel is
        private void redrawMainPanel(Container container) {
               for (int i=0;i<container.getComponentCount();i++)
                         if ((container.getComponent(i) instanceof JPanel) && (((JPanel)container.getComponent(i)).getName() == "mainPanel")){
                              redrawPanel((JPanel)container.getComponent(i));
                         else if (container.getComponent(i) instanceof Container){
                              redrawMainPanel(((Container)container.getComponent(i)));
         }and the first line of the redrawPanel() is
    System.out.println(((JViewport)component.getParent()).getViewRect().getWidth() + " - " + ((JViewport)component.getParent()).getViewRect().getHeight());I get 0 - 0
    I havent implement Scrollable, is that necessary?

  • NullPointerException - Cannot get the value from variable f_cashGiven

    In SubCheckout.java (a POS), what I want is when Payment button (f_cashPayment) is pressed, the action "Cash" is performed, get the value from Cash Given (f_cashGiven), do the subtraction and post the value as Cash Return (f_cashReturn). The code is filled in actionPerformed. But I cannot get the value by using f_cashGiven.getValue() from VNumber class. It returns NULL. This should be quite straight forward, but I do not know what is wrong. Please help!

    If getValue() returns null, you need to trace the execution of the code and figure out which sequence of code is leading to the return of null. This method looks complex - a lot of if statements. If you do not have a debugger, put System.out.println statements inside the method to figure out what's going on.

  • Avoid window getting focus after pressing a mouse button on it

    I want that a window does not get focus although I press a mouse button on it, in Windows XP.
    I have search in Microsoft help and this fact is controlled by the Operating System itself. The notification that is sent after the user presses a mouse button is WM_MOUSEACTIVATE notification. The return value of this notification indicates the behaviour of the window after the mouse down, existing 4 options: MA_ACTIVATE, MA_ACTIVATEANDEAT; MA_NOACTIVATE & MA_NOACTIVATEANDEAT. The default is the first one, but I want to change the behaviour of the window to be the the third one: MA_NOACTIVATE, that does not activate the window, and does not discard the mouse message. The function that performs this is DefWindowProc according to the MSDN Help content.
    Any help about doing this in Labview? Is there any special function in Labview that allows setting this behaviour to a window or should I use a Windows dll? In that case how can be programmed? Has anyone done it before? I'm working with Labview 8.6.1, and I haven't found anything about this. Any help will be very useful.
    Thank you very much in advance.
    David Fernández

    It is the front panel window of a VI which I don't want to get focus. I have tried to achive this with property nodes, but the problem I think that cannot be solved in this way, because is the Operative System that gives the focus to the window when pressing a mouse button before Labview does anything. You can release the focus once the window have taken it with the Front Panel window focus property node, but what I really want is to keep the focus on the old window.
    My idea is that the VI act as a background of my application, so never can be over the rest of the windows. Some of them are floating but others are standard and I don't want to use modal windows, so I cannot solve this with the Window Appearance options.
    I have also tried to discard the mouse down in the Mouse Down? event, but I doesn't work, the window continues getting the focus although does not carry on any action.
    Any suggestion?
    Thank you for your interest

  • I accidentially changed settings for developers as e.g. the grid. Now it seems impossible to undo this as I cannot get back to settings.

    After the changes I have effected while trying to get to know my phone (which was a bad mistake, I will not repeat that for sure!) the touchscreen has changed completely and lost sensitivity. Everything has become very slow and e.g. to get the password in I first have to touch the number for a long moment and then the panel where the point is showed in. Once I get into the phone I cannot get to other screens than the start screen. There, only sometimes I cannot get into the apps. I have managed to open SMS and the browser. The others are just indicated by a voice but I cannot use them.
    I hope I can undo the changes by getting back to settings. The problem is: I have no idea how to get back to settings as I cannot get anywhere but to the starting screen...
    I am very happy for your help!

    It seems you have accidentally turned on the experimental accessibility features (namely the screen reader for blind users). I did this on a Flame with v1.4 and it was so buggy I could not get back to settings to turn it off. Depending on what version of Firefox OS you are using - you may be able to get back into Settings to turn off accessibility. The way the navigation works for the screen reader is to swipe right (or left to go back) to have the focus set to a new object on screen, then after the computer reads out the item - you can double tap anywhere on the screen to select it. If you are lucky you can slowly navigate to the Settings and Developer Menu and retoggle the Accessibilty setting off.
    If not, then the only way I know (and I'm a Firefox OS newbie) is to re-flash your phone. I got stuck with this and had to reflash version 1.4 over it. This means you will LOSE your data if you do it. I reflashed the phone, a Flame (your mileage may vary with your device), by pressing the Power button + VolumeUp + the Home button until I saw the Thundersoft logo - then you should get a menu which you can select "wipe data/factory reset" and then like 30 sec later phone is fine - but you are back to scratch.
    Sorry if this doesn't apply, or if you need to salvage data - perhaps someone more knowledgable can reply?

    Aprreciate help on this.

    To resolve this, you need to reconfigure the "Oracle Application Testing Suite Helper Service" (OATSHelperSvr) to start as a user who has privledges to run open script tests rather than the default SYSTEM user.
    Reconfiguring the OATSHelperSvr Service:
    1. Open the services panel (Start > Run > services.msc)
    2. Find the Oracle Application Testing Suite Helper Service
    3. Right Click > Properties then select the Log On Tab
    4. Specify an interactive user that has rights to run OpenScript (test by logging in as that user and running tests):
    5. Click OK
    6. Restart the service after dialogs are closed by Right Click > Restart
    7. You should now repeat this process for the "Oracle Application Testing Suite Agent Service" (eLoadAgentMon) Service (Two services in
    total)
    You should now retry running the test in Oracle Test Manager

  • Cannot get Win8 Pro computer run the Connect a Computer to the Server Wizard (computerconnector) of Essentials 2012

    I've spent 1/2 the day trying to troubleshoot this problem and finally give up.
    My client has a Windows Server 2012 Essentials server (with all updates installed - no errors in error logs nor SFC /SCANNOW).  Purchased a new Windows 8 Pro computer, which we installed all the updates from Windows Updates and are now trying to join
    the domain using the "Microsoft way" (i.e.:  http://[servername]/connect).
    The site comes up and it prompts us to download the software and run... so far so good, but when we get to the screen where it asks, "Type your new network user name and password" - the next screen after that we get the error, "Cannot connect
    this computer to the network...".
    I've been looking at cases all day long through Microsoft and Google - all pointing to problems with the SSL on the server - that's not the problem here (as other workstations have, in the past, successfully connected and we verified today that the local
    server certificate is what is the default, as it should be).
    I've tried just about everything I can think of and cannot get this silly wizard to work (why Microsoft, WHY!??!?!).  Yet, I can join this domain just fine doing it through normal means.  I've even tried joining the domain this way, and tried installing
    the software afterwards (as the Essentials Console won't reflect the new workstation, thus it won't add it to group policies etc... though yes, I could manually do that and have - but we'd still like to get it to show up in the console).  I even
    tried the trick noted in a KB talking about running the connect software without joining the domain (registry key that gets added) - that didn't work either.
    I'm out of ideas - and at this point had to get the client online and working today - so we joined it manually, configured it and left it.  But I would like to get this fixed the "proper" way.  Help?
    I do have the clientdeploy.log file - which only points out an internal error, but I'm unsure how to enable the improved logging it suggests (I'll gladly post the logs if someone tells me how - I'll skip posting the log file here for now):
    [1544] 140204.203620.0794: ClientSetup: MachineIdentityManager.GetMachineStatus had errors: ErrorCatalog:NetworkError ErrorCode:-1
    BaseException: Microsoft.WindowsServerSolutions.Devices.Identity.MachineIdentityException: MachineIdentityManager.GetMachineStatus ---> System.ServiceModel.FaultException: The server was unable to process the request due to an internal error.  For more
    information about the error, either turn on IncludeExceptionDetailInFaults (either from ServiceBehaviorAttribute or from the <serviceDebug> configuration behavior) on the server in order to send the exception information back to the client, or turn on
    tracing as per the Microsoft .NET Framework SDK documentation and inspect the server trace logs.
    Suggestions?  Thoughts?  I hope Essentials 2012 R2 improves this - as I've had this error for other various reasons with other clients (and spent 1/2 days troubleshooting to clear those up).  Essentials Connect, IMHO, needs a re-write - as
    it's been nothing but a hassle... miss the SBS connect.

    Hi slemay,
    Before going further, please uninstall the Connector software from Control panel. Then connect again, will
    the same issue persists? Would you please use another client to connect with the Server 2012 Essentials by using this way? Then monitor the result. Please make sure the computer has a physical connection to the local network.
    Please refer to the TechNet article (Here)
    and troubleshoot, then check if can help you to solve it.
    In addition, please refer to the following articles and enable
    WCF tracing to go further. Please check if you can find some clues.
    How to enable WCF tracing

  • Cannot get into 'Dashboard Properties' (OBIEE 11g) using IE 8

    When I enter an OBIEE 11g dashboard (as an Administrator) and click on "*Edit Dashboard*" & then click on "*Dashboard Properties*":
    1) the "*Dashboard Properties*" box pops up but...
    2) only the upper porting of the "*Dashboard Properties*" box displays
    3) the lower portion of the box never displays...it just stays all white. This portion is where the grid that would normally display the list of dashboard pages (where I could choose to hide pages)
    4) at the bottom left-had part of my browser, it says "*(11 items remaining)*"
    5) my browser stays locked like this & the only way to get out of it is to ctrl+alt+del
    Several things to note:
    1) I'm not sure when this started happening, but I noticed it sometime last week. I know in the past I was able to get into the dashboard properties, but now I cannot.
    2) I am on OBIEE 11.1.1.5.0
    3) I am on Win7 32-bit
    4) I am on version IE 8.0.7601.17514
    5) I can run OBIEE in Firefox and edit the dashboard properties just fine. This issue does not seem to exist in Firefox
    6) If I change to "*compatibility view*" in IE 8, I seem to be able to go into the "*Dashboard Propeties*" box just fine...HOWEVER, when I try to go into "*Edit Dashboard*" (while in "*compatibility view*") many of my objects (columns/sections) overlap & are weirdly placed all over the screen.
    7) I have tried modifying the httpd.conf file as per the official Oracle white paper relating to OBIEE 11g in IE8 (Doc ID 1312299.1) and it didn't seem to fix my issue
    8) I have also tried uninstalling & re-installing IE8 but that also did not seem to fix my issue.
    Has anyone else encountered this issue? If so, any suggestions on what one might do to fix it?
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Good suggestion. I have tried IE 8 and 9 and Firefox with the same results. An error is thrown in IE 8:
    "Message: Can't move focus to the control because it is invisible, not enabled, or of a type that does not accept the focus."
    I believe this is referring to the fact that it cannot move focus to the username text field as the field is not displayed.
    Another note, our steps for upgrade were as follows so not sure if this is part of the problem:
    1. Install 11.1.1.3 OBIEE
    2. Upgrade to 11.1.1.5 OBIEE
    3. Run ua.bat for publisher schema and repository
    4. Now, do not see username/pw at login and thus cannot login
