My phone is sending a lot of emails without my knowledge

I've only had my 8900 for a week now and I incorporated my gmail to it. for the last two days it's been sending emails to just a group of random numbers with the domain usually like @txt.att.net OR @comcast.net OR @messaging.nextel.com etc. The only reason I find out is when my email sends me a 'Message not delivered' email. How can I stop this from happening? When I go on my gmail from my computer the same messages are there. I never had this problem before I incorporated my email with my phone. Any help out there?
Solved!
Go to Solution.

I suspect those gmail are being sent from your PC, either you have a virus on the PC or a spammer has hacked your gmail account.
Gmail items sent FROM your gmail web portal will now reconcile the sent messages to your BlackBerry as sent items. It's a new feature of BlackBerry Internet Service implemented over the past month.
Your problem is not with the BlackBerry, but with your gmail account.
Good luck.

Is there any easy way to send free invoice via email without my credit info?

Depends upon what you mean by 'it failed'. If it's that you are getting a message to contact iTunes Support then no, you will have to contact them (the 48 hours should be the maximum time that it takes for them to reply).

  • Gmail emails sending out of wrong account without my knowledge in Mail app

I'm having problems with my Mail app sending out emails out of the wrong Gmail account. This was happening to me in Mountain Lion amongst other Mail app headaches, and I was able to fix it after weeks and weeks of troubleshooting. In Mavericks, the Mail app was mostly working correctly.
When I updated to Yosemite (did a clean install), I thought my Mail app was working correctly. At the end of November, I had some iCloud issues asking for passwords for all my apps. I had to remove iCloud in System Preferences and I added it back on. Anyway, here is my issue:
    1. I have three gmail accounts, let's called them: primary@gmail, subscription@gmail and business@gmail. Over a year ago, I removed the business@gmail from the Mail app because the job was done. The primary@gmail and subscription@gmail were the only active gmail accounts I had in my Mail app.
    2. The beginning of December, I sent some emails out of [email protected] and the emails were in my Sent folder in the Mail app so I knew they were sent out. I didn't receive any responses to my emails and began to wonder. It wasn't until a friend emailed me on my personal@gmail and asked if I was using my business@gmail account again because he said I haven't responded to any of his emails he sent there.
    3. I went into business@gmail in webmail and there were all the emails responses. I forwarded them to my primary@gmail account and in the Mail app I looked at View>Message>Raw Source and I saw that the emails first tried to use my SMTP from primary@gmail but ended up using my business@gmail account which was no longer active in the Mail app. So when the people hit "Reply" to my emails they were sent to business@gmail in webmail.
What bothers me a lot is that I was not notified by the Mail app that the business@gmail SMTP would be used and I deleted the business@gmail from the Mail app over year ago so I didn't even think of it.
I went through my Mail Preferences Account Information and looked at Edit SMTP List. I had all these Gmail SMTPs there so I deleted all of them to start fresh. I left the iCloud SMTP info as it was.
When I tried to add a new Gmail account in System Preferences under Internet Accounts, it would only allow me to add one Gmail account and not another Gmail account. After a few tries, I was finally able to add the second Gmail account. I did go and look at Accounts in the Mail Preferences and I properly assigned the two Gmail accounts to only use the Gmail SMPT that is assigned to it.
    Here are my questions.
Do I need to do anything else to make sure that the Gmail accounts in Mail app settings remain as they are and this doesn't happen again. I've made sure that business@gmail is not in my Previous Recipients or in my Contacts.
I've noticed that the SMTP for iCloud is listed as "None" some of the time and I have to keep selecting iCloud over and over again. I'm hesitate to remove iCloud from my Mail app because I had to do this at the end of November when I had the iCloud password thing happen and I had a big problem getting my Notes data back.
If I remove the Mail.plist in Users Library, would I have to go through all the settings in Gmail webmail and Mail App or would some of the settings be there?
    Any help would be appreciated.

You set it up, and you failed to distinguish between the SMTP servers or assign the correct one to your copy of Mail (it doesn't actually know which is which, you need to inform it)
Open Mail>Preferences>Accounts (NOT Mail>Accounts) and go down to the SMTP server list, choose the correct server for each account then check the box that says 'Use Only This Server' for each account.
This is not automatic, you get to choose and if you don't then this will result.
    Remove the non functional ones.

  • Can I send my photos by email without a .Mac account?

Got my first digital camera, got them into iPhoto but can't send them by email as I get Error message: "This message could not be delivered and will remain in your Outbox until it can be delivered. The server "mailhost.worldnet.att.net" refused to allow a connection on port 587," or sometimes, "The connection to the server, etc. . . . on port 587 timed out." I've gone to Mail Preferences and when I tried to "add" I only get the option to become a .Mac subscriber, which I don't want to do. This has happened previously with automatic replies to some businesses which only want to send replies by Mail. I use Safari consistently and don't see why I have to pay to send replies or now, my photos, to someone. Do I have other options or should I be asking AT&T these questions? Thanks for any easy-to-understand help.

You do not need .Mac in order to send photos by e-mail. It sounds like you use ATT as you internet provider. Have you configured Apple Mail to be able to send e-mail yet? Can you send an e-mail text message OK?
If you haven't yet gotten Mail configured to work with your ATT account a quick call to ATT should give you all the information you need. Setting up Mail is easy.
    Post back with further questions.
    Regards,
    Steve M.

  • Sending Financial Statements by email without Publishing

I have Crystal Reports Server but I do NOT have the $18,000+ Publishing add-on package.   I need to send out financial statements as a PDF email attachment to 1,200 clients.   We did this in Crystal Reports Server XI but we had to setup 18 reports and under those reports were 70+ report instances per customer.   We just upgraded to Crystal Reports Server 2008 and without the publishing package I guess I have to configure the same setup that I had before with the reports and an instance per customer.   Does anyone have a suggestion on doing this?
    Thanks - Bryan Compton

Upgrade your CRS server to the latest service pack and then use the import WIzard to import the reports ALONG with the report instances. THis way you do not really have to reschedule your reports.

  • HELP - I need to send copies of 200 emails without printing them

    I hope somebody can help.
I have approx 200 emails in a folder in Mail. I need to get copies to somebody to read them as individual emails in date order. Obviously one option is to print each and put them in a file in date order but this would mean a huge amount of printing. Ideally I would like to burn them into a disc or put them on a memory stick that could be given to the other person for them to then be able to open each email and read through them. I have discovered the forward as attachement option in Mail. This almost dos what i need as it produces a file for each email that can be sent as an attachment. Can these files be saved and then copied to a disc or memory stick?

If you select all of the emails you want, then choose save as… from the File menu, it will save them as rich text format (rtf), raw message source, or plain text. Both rtf and plain text only saves the content. raw message source contains all the headers and such, but is not really human readable and I couldn't get mail to open that file.
Now, each of the emails is stored as a file inside your username/Library/Mail folder. They would be easier to find if you created a new mailbox in Mail and moved them into that mailbox. Then they would be inside of username/Library/Mail/Mailboxes/mailboxname/mailboxname.mbox
You could then attach all of those files to a message.

  • IPhone4 sending dozens of text messages without my knowledge

I think the iPhone4 has a virus.Since I got it three days ago, it has sent over 48 text messages to SMS number such as 49988 and 2639. The messages are cryptic such as
    <snip>
    From: 1613 xxx-xxx
    To: 2639
    August 12 2010 07:43 PM
    STATE
    </snip>
It also receives SMS from 49988 like so
    <snip>
    From: 49988
    To: 1613xxx-xxxx
    August 12 2010 07:09 PM
    REG-RESP?v=2;r=4327d673;n=+16138510973;s=014E647B2CFFFFFFFF94A13D1F520AA05404617 C9271159D1E9184CE5E
    </snip>
These messages don't show up in the messages dialog. The only reason I know my iPhone4 is sending and receiving them is that Rogers has a service that provides emails copies of all SMS sent or received.
I asked the genius at the genius bar about it and he didn't have a clue.
I have seen this behaviour on two iPhone4's (incidentally the first iphone4 I had for only 2 days, kept going dead and required a hard start to get going. I now have a refurb from the genius at the Apple store.)
Anyway, if anyone can shed some light on these mysterious messages, I would appreciate it. They are burning up my SMS quota.

I just received my bill from Bell and noticed 3 outgoing and 1 incoming short code text. Out of the 3 outgoing text, I got charged for 2 of them $.75 each. I called Bell about these charges because:
    a) I don't send msgs to short codes because I know 99% of the time you get charged for them
    b)$1.50 isn't a lot, but it's still charges!
    c) I just bought the iPhone 4 right when these charges came up on my bill, so how could I possibly send this random text message?
Now these messages did not come up on my phone, so the bell representative told me that it came from the short code 49988. He told me about this post when he was looking into the issue and he said Bell had no knowledge of this issue, but told me to keep an eye out on my bill and contact bell and apple if this issue arises again.
And yes, he did credit me back the $1.50!!!

  • Why is my iphone sending messages from my email and not my number?

My phone will send messages from my email rather than my number. I have gone to the settings to switch it to send just from my number. When i do that, it does not send. What do i do to fix this problem!?

    Hello therealdeal333,
Thank you for participating in the Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like you're only able to send iMessages using your Apple ID (email address) on your iPhone. If you're not able to send iMessages using your phone number, first try signing out of iMessage and FaceTime on your iPhone:
Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive, tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
Go to Settings > FaceTime, tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
If you send iMessages from other devices (such as a Mac or iPad), sign out of those as well.
Then sign back in on your iPhone:
On your iPhone first, sign back in to iMessage and Facetime.
Sign back in to iMessage and Facetime on your other devices (if necessary.)
You can find the steps I quoted above, as well as more troubleshooting help, at this link:

  • Every time I send a photo via email, I have to type in my password.  I'd like to disable that.

I can't seem to send a photo via email without having to type in my password.  Can I disable that?

    Hello, olyhank.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
Here is an article that will walk you through some troubleshooting steps for this issue.  Start with the attached section in the article below.
Tip: If you see a sheet or dialog that states 'Enter the password for user "email address'", this indicates that the email service provider is having an issue with the password being sent by Mail, or there is an issue with the email account. Contact the email service provider for support. ChooseWindow > Connection Doctor click "Show Detail" then click "Check Again". The information displayed in the "Show Detail" drawer may include details from the email service provider about what the issue is. Look for headers that start with "[ALERT]".

  • Create a csv file and send it in an email

In coldfusion, is it possible to  create a csv file and send it in an email, without ever saving that file on the hard drive?

Yes, you can create an email attachment without writing a file to disk.  This feature was introduced in CF 8.0.1.
I've posted a sample to a previous thread on the forums.

    Hi, ireland a.
I would recommend closing any open applications in multitasking and restarting the device.  If unfamiliar with multitasking, I have included a screenshot on how to process an application close.
iOS: Force an app to close
Once these steps are processed, attempt to send the photo again.
