Tried your suggestion various ways but it had no effect the download button was still greyed out and the install button would not activate will keep trying to find a solution. I dont want to boot from the external hard drive that has Lion on mainly because it is a usb HD and the connection to my wireless modem slows the connection rate and downloading would take about ten hours

Try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer?
If you still can't get a working installer from the standard download page, try the following direct download links for 11.1.5.5:

Cancel your storage upgrade

Help! :-) I recently put iTunes on my iPad 2. I quickly noticed that hundreds of my purchased tunes did not download AND they are nbo longer in my library! The remained on my iPod. Where did they go?

Can't figure out what happened to the purchased tunes that did not download to my iPad 2. Seems to be OK on my iPod, but not my iTunes library. Help :-)

I've no idea why things might have gone missing, but if there is media content on the iPod that isn't in your library see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.
The user tip includes a link to a backup tip which you should use to make sure that you can recover your library in the event of any future problems.

Entire Itunes library will not download to Ipod nano! All is checked and it says it synced but it will only put the few new purchased songs on my ipod.

My son deleted the music from my Ipod. I pulled up my Itunes on a new computer with windows 8 and pluged in the Ipod and my music reappeared. However, I then purchased new music and the new music would not download. I am not sure what I did but now the new music is on my ipod and all the old music is gone. When I am in my itunes account all the songs are selected and when I hit sync it is still only syncing the newly purchased songs. How can I get my entire library back on my ipod?

So you also rebooted your router correct? Does the iPod still connect okay to other networks?

I have downloaded and totally remove itune 3-4 times. It will not open unless the ipod is connected. I keep getting a message that says :the itunes folder can not be found or created. The default folder is located in "my music". what do i have to do to get it to work????????????????

Do you see an error message when this happens?
If your computer has one of the LSPs mentioned in the article below, you may have to do a winsock reset or remove conflicting software.

New Purchased apps will not sync to ipod touch

Ok, my son just purchased two more apps to put on his ipad touch. they show up in our library, but will not sync. "Sync Apps" is checked, as is "automatically sync new apps". All other apps are checked and are showing in his ipod touch. These two new ones, will not sync. when you check the boxes for them from the apps screen, i get the "revert" and "apply" boxes appearing. I click on "apply" then it changes to "sync" and when I click that, it goes through the sync process, then unchecks the two new apps when done. of course these two apps have failed to sync. Music sync is working fine. Any help out there?

Are the apps compatible with the iPos e.g. is the relevant iOS version on the iPod (Settings > General > About > Version) and the apps are designed to work on the iPod - an app's requirements are shown on the left-hand side of its description page in the store.

Purchased games will not work with iPod Classic 160GB

I purchased the original seven games (Bejeweled, Cubis 2, Mahjong, PAC-MAN, Tetris, Vortex, Zuma) offered by Apple when they were released for the 5th generation video iPod. That iPod has since died and been replaced by a iPod 160GB Classic. Like all of my purchased songs, I expected my purchased games to be compatible with my iPod. The games in iTunes are only listed as compatible with 5th generation iPod. I was happy to discover that there is a Check for Updates button at the bottom of iTunes so I assumed that all that I needed to do to be compatible with my new iPod is click on that button. Nothing seems to happen though. With the exception of Vortex which seems to no longer be available, all of the other games currently posted in the iTunes store show that they are compatible with the iPod Classic. It would seem evident that the Check for Updates button would address this issue. Why don't I see anything happening when I click on the button? I know that I must be doing something wrong since all of my purchased songs did not need to be repurchased to be compatible. I am guessing that I could repurchase all of these applications to make it work but I do not think that would be fair nor does it sound correct.

Purchased music will not play on iPod after iTunes 6.0.1 (3)

After upgrading to iTunes 6.0.1 (3) and then syncing my iPod Photo I can no longer play songs purchased in iTunes on my iPod (cds copied to iTunes play fine). The music (and album art) for the iTunes purchased shows up on the iPod, but the iPod just quickly cycles through any purchased music without playing it - this applies to all purchased music (recently purchased and stuff purchased 9 months ago when I got my iPod). The music plays fine using iTunes on my laptop. I have the latest firmware update on the iPod Photo (1.2).
Any thoughts/help are appreciated.

Itunes purchased music will not play on Ipod

I have had an Ipod since second generation around 2004. It lasted me until about two weeks ago and i recently bought a new fifth generation. When 7.0 came out my older ipod would not play my purchased music and suddenly started to give me errors(unhappy ipod, and folder). I took it into the genius bar and i was told that the hard drive had died. I think that is a load of hogwash. I was able to "revive" it to only have it die again. The new Ipod has the same problem with the purchased music. I have tried the 5 R's, I have reloaded my library, everything. I thought that possibly if the files were on a shared network it messed it up, but i have unshared everything. Nothing seems to work but reloading the purchased music from a cd that has been burned. I dont want to take the time to do that for over 350 songs. Are there any suggestions from a real Apple tech? And will this be SOLVED?
