My sister has been charged $400 for an app games she never accepted how does this matter get Investigated further as apple always requires a password on Purchases ?

Can some one please tell me where do I complain or start an Investigation on an app that has be wrongly charging a credit card for gems and coins with. Authorization or password ? iTunes is giving me the run around and won't Rectify this problem this is wrong if apple won't take Responsibility for an app that they have approved to download on their smart phones. I have been a developer for the past year and know very well how apple needs to Approve anything that goes to the public for downloading under the App Store?

First, to prevent this from happening again, she should turn off "In App purchases" in the Restrictions settings on her iPad so that she can't make a purchase inadvertently. Not all games make it clear that coins, gems and such cost real money. She may also want to turn off the ability to install apps, and set the password to be required immediately. As to a refund, that's not automatic since the terms of sale for the iTunes Store state that all sales are final. You can contact the iTunes Store as AnaMusic suggested, explain the reason for your request, and ask, though. They're usually pretty lenient in the case of inadvertent purchases.

    thanks. yes i am aware of the VoiceOver feature but it is NOT the solution to my problem. as you said, it is a solution to a different set of issues. i want the text to speech ability because i there are books i need to read but do not have the time to sit down and read them and have become used to listening to them read to me either by a professional human reader or with the text to speech software on the Kindle.
    I think Apple makes the best audio devices but i am really disappointed in this inexplainable shortcoming. if apple can give us siri they ought to be able to design a nice little button that i can push to turn on text to speech while i am in a document, book, magazine or webpage. clearly it is possible as apple has added the "reader" button in safari to have web pages dropped into the reader format.
    thanks for your suggestion though, it is what everyone suggests but it does not address the issue.

    upon reviewing my credit card statement , I have noticed that i have been charged twice for the same product which I am not even aware of , however I would apprcaite reviewing the cahrges and do the refund to my credit card

    I downloaded some app game points on my iPod touch and paid for it. It didn't come through on the app - it instead went to some 'enable Genius' page. So I went back and tapped on the install button again and it came up with "purchase this app?" and I clicked yes. I have now been charged twice for these points and I am NOT happy.
    But my question is this: Does anyone have ANY idea how I can contact Apple for support because I have tried countless ways and nothing gets through. Yes, I have clicked 'report a problem' and it just takes me to the 'support' section where no 'reporting' is available.

    Report to Apple and they should be able to provide the credit.  In iTunes under the Store menu, select View Account.  There you should find a selection for Purchase History.  Find the item and select the arrow tab next to it where you will find a selection to Report a Problem.  From my experience Apple will get back to you within 24-hours or less.

    Where did you get the phone?
    That phone was replaced by Apple or an AASP and was not returned to Apple as it should have been, or it was stolen from Apple or somewhere in the supply chain.
    You can not get support from Apple for that phone.
    Return it to wherever you got it and get your money back.

  • Lately it has been taking longer for Firefox to open and will lockup occasionally. Firefox has been my browser for years and I have never had this problem before. Its there anything I can do about this problem?

    Once this happens, it takes a while like it is catching up but eventually will clear the jam. It has locked up and or crashed and I manually have to reset my computer.

    This can happen if you've zoomed the page. That effects the screen dimensions as reported by JavaScript and seems to confuse Yahoo.
    Reset the page zoom on pages that cause problems.

    It is possible that you accidentally double clicked the order in some way, some how processing it twice. Clearly you don't need two copies of the same magazine and it is unlikely Apple will not refund you.
    On the receipt there should be a section asking you to report a problem.   I suggest you do just that and the matter will be resolved.
