My trackpad is freaking out, switching windows when its not suppose to, zooming in on webpages on its own, left clicking when i right click. whats wrong?

It works fine after I restart, shut down, or put my mac to sleep. Shortly after I do that though it starts acting up, i tried the command option P R trick and that didnt work. I dont think its hardware because the trackpad works occasionaly. HELP!!!

The Jiggle is due to virtualization and an attempt to fit the contents. The only solution I can think of is to set the width based on the orientation.

It started randomly about two weeks ago and I thought it was a glitch that would just go away. But now I am getting sick of using only the block eraser on one size. Help?

The easiest thing to start with is to reset the Eraser Tool.
Right click on the Eraser icon in the tool options bar and then click on Reset Tool.

I've checked for updates and there hasn't been any trama or anything. Is this a known problem with trackpads? What can I do? If I bring it down to the store will they need to replace the machine?

I usually use my laptop while lying in bed, so it's tilted at odd angles. I've just noticed that this problem happens when I'm in that position but when I put the laptop on a table or even just sit up and use it's fine. ***.

In reality, as a public company, Verizon has not much say in terms of what devices they get to carry. They can put their own spin on things as they communicate to their board - but it's the board and investor folk who drive the decisions. Wishful thinking that these investors would read the good things about the Windows Phones. High customer sat, customer friendly OS, easy to support, low end to high end device options, etc. Unfortunatly, most of the investors are punch drunk on their Droid cocktails and are currently enjoying a high percent of Verizon Droid customers. In addition, stupid things that Microsoft did - like the KIN phones - do nothing but leave Verizon investors and board members burn victims.

Very doubtful it's a malware issue.
When that happens, try resetting the device.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If an app quits again, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
Then try an app again.

FREAKING OUT HERE!! videos not playing in 4.0.3

I have a major presentation to give in 3 hours and I am having a MAJOR freak out here. I've had trouble with movies not playing properly before (black screen with just the audio playing) but either clicking on the 'Allow Expose, Dashboard....' button in preferences, or reloading them (insert, choose) has fixed the problem. Now nothing seems to work. Tried rebooting the machine, even trying to play a single movie in a new document. Nothing. I'm sunk if I can't get this wretched program to work very very soon. HELP ANYONE!!

What's the format of the videos? Do they play in QuickTime, iTunes?

I do a radio show, when I pre-record i get a very low end hiss, almost sounds like gain is too high, but its not. If Im live to the station its fine. It only happens when I record. Is there a way to set audition NOT to record that low end sound?

I use an Allen & Heath broadcast board. When I record to my computer for later broadcast there is a low end hiss/hum barely noticeable when im speaking BUT very prominent when there is a quiet moment.
Sounds like gain may be tooo high, BUT its not. When I do a LIVE broadcast using same equipment all is fine!
Thoughts

Well, several thoughts here...
First, what are you using to get from the A&H mixer into your computer and is it in the chain when you broadcast live? I ask because a lot of built in sound cards are pretty noisy and that could be the source of the problem, fixable with even a very cheap external USB interface
Second, if the hiss actually starts at the mic/mixer, I know the A&H XB series has a high pass filter on every mic channel. Have you engaged that?
That said, it's pretty rare for hiss to be such a low frequency that the high pass filter will kill it. You may get on better with the Noise Reduction feature in Audition, applied after the recording.
Anyhow, to repeat how I started, what's your signal chain when recording and how does it differ from when you go live?

I am ready to throw my computer out the window! I loaded the latest safari to and now at random pages will freeze. I can see what is going on, but cannot type anywhere! I have to shut down safari and go back in to even attempt to do anything. Please help!

Please help! I updated safari and yes it is an older desktop, but now all of the sudden tabs I have open will freeze on me. I can see what is going on, but am unable to type anywhere on the page! I have to shut down safari and then open up a whole new window to even attempt to get it to stop! It is driving me insane not to mention I need my desktop to work properly. I beg for someone to help me with this.

When alt + tab between applications firefox freezes to a black blank screen and will not move. The only response it will allow is the close option after right clicking on the task bar in English

I normally have several applications running at the same time, some of them are running 24/7/365.
When accessing the applications its easier to alt+tab between them. On the occasions that I can actually get Firefox to open and stay open it always freezes and remains immovable on the screen after switching to another program.
Firefox goes black except for the border and the close button at the top right. The other buttons disappear. Even after waiting for a period of time it does not clear.
The freeze can occur either on the first switch or second switch. However, it always happens.

Have also since found out that to start FF4 in safe mode you just hold shift whilst double-clicking the icon. We only find these things out after the event, murphy's law!

Marquee tool feathers when its not supposed too

I just started working at a new print shop so not sure if this is a feature that was added in CS4 or if it something in the preferences.
My issue is this. When working on window designs (perforated vinyl), I bring my illustrator template into photoshop at 1000dpi as a work path (1/10th scale) I do my designs, then flatten the layers and drop my dpi to 100, go to my work path and command+left click to highlight. The next step is minusing part of the path (think 2 windows, one on top and one on bottom) so that my marquee only selects the top window. I then expand by 100pixels (for the bleed) and copy paste into a new document.
This worked perfectly on CS2 and I believe CS3 as well. Something has changed and I am not sure if this is a bug or what. I have put a screenshot of my copied/pasted layer below so you can see.
My main concern is two fold. 1, the marquee clips in a diagonal direction (this is fine, it did this in the past as well) #2 however is the feathering. As you can see the left side is feathered (which is weird because the right doesn't feather) but the bottom and left sides feather. Top and right side are fine.
This is the most annoying thing I have had to deal with. Please someone tell me why this is happening.
PS. As a designer with more then 10 years in this field I BEG OF YOU ADOBE!!! PLEASE STOP PUTTING OUT NEW SOFTWARE UNTIL YOUR OLD ONES ARE 100% FIXED!!! :end rant:

To Zeno - I did check the feather selection (im on a mac though, so its command click) and the feather is set to 0.
To Mylenium - I am a bit confused as to what Illustrators "pixel grid alignment in AI" is. Also, since this is a smart object (retaining vector capabilities in PS) why would anti aliasing come into play? It was always my understanding that PS treated smart objects as vector and that anti aliasing is considered a raster effect.
I think this is a bug for 1 simple reason. The left and bottom are feathered, yet the right and top sides are not.
Any other suggestions? I am all ears. And again, I appreciate you two taking the time to give your helpful input.

Saving music to an external hard drive thru itunes so that its not stored on my already overloaded macbook, but plays thru i tunes when i hook up the external hard drive

I have a macbook pro, and sooooo much music the hard drive is already full and i'm not halfway thru importing all my cds, I have hooked up a 2TB external hard drive and used it to back up my hard drive with time machine but i want to use the remaining space on the external drive to store every cd that i have so i can become a cd free household. How do I copy music onto my hard drive thru itunes so it adds to my library but runs off my external hard drive rather than my already over loaded internal hard drive?
also is there a way of selecting music already on my hard drive to be shipped over to the external hard drive to free up space on my macbook, as the lack of disc space occasionally causes problems working on dj programmes and garage band when i am recording large files o my hard drive in realtime as i am making them.

Yes you can. Open iTunes preferences and select advanced. In the iTunes Media folder location use your external location.

When sending emails with cc copy recipients, header does not show the cc copy email adds it was sent, but, messages are received by all. whats wrong?

Our office email add experiencing this problem just the other day. Our email hosting provider havent found the solution yet despite my frequent follow ups.
Our business partners in Malaysia are already complaining because, suddenly email heading formats changed. Emails they receive from us (we are using the orange outlook express and mozilla thunderbird) when received by them, doesnt show the Cc addresses to whom we sent the email to. But, it is confirmed being received by all, their email adds appearing only in "To:". They are now confused, thinking that we are not cc copying all concerned parties in our emails but in fact we are. We have done test messages and still same problem exists. Hope anyone could help. Confirm your headers are correct:
when you view a 'Sent' email in Sent folder
It shows headers TO and CC with email addresses
When you click on 'Other Actions' and select 'View source'

Due to recent security issues and identify theft (mostly due to phishing scams), the iTunes Store requires more frequent verification of credit card information when a card is registered in your account, even if you have a balance from a prepaid card. Either just go through the verification process or, if you don't expect to need the credit card anytime soon, go into the Payment information in your account and set the payment method to "none" which should then stop the regular requirements for verification.
