http://web.mac.com/escapademedia/vps//Accueilfiles/widget0markup.html is the frame code that holds your 2.1MB .swf file.
Notice the height and width used in the code?
Flash is vector based and can scale to any size. You should edit the dimensions in that html file and use the 800 width and 100 height.
Open that html file in any plain text editor (TextEdit set to plain text) change the dimensions and save the file.

  • Why do web pages look slightly blurred on Mac?

    I have a Mac Mini and a PC with XP on the same monitor, (using a kvm). Almost every web page I view looks better on the pc then the mac. On the mac, the fonts appear thinker and slightly blurred. the same web page on the pc is much sharper and clearer. Both use Firefox and res is the same on both 1280 x 1024. Even Apple's own site looks better on the pc! I've checked, and the same font's are installed on both. I've connected the Mac directly to the monitor, just in case it was the kvm, but no difference. I've also checked on other Mac's (albeit with larger screens), web pages look clearer on them.
    Why does a mac, supposedly renowned for its graphics, not display as well as a PC? Monitor is Belinea 19" flatscreen.

  • Fireworks CS4 to CS6 - is there a setting that needs to be adjusted so that web pages look right in

    Fireworks CS4 to CS6 - is there a setting that needs to be adjusted so that web pages look right in Internet Explorer?  I was in the middle of creating pages with Fireworks CS4 and exporting them to Dreamweaver CS4 and publishing them to the website. Those pages looked fine. Then I upgraded to CS6 and the pages  look fine in  Fireworks, Dreamweaver and when I preview them "live" in Chrome but not Internet Explorer. Anyone know why?  Also, with upgrading the software I upgraded to a new computer.  Any and all suggestions are welcomed.  Thanks!

    Most likely caused by a missing document type declaration (DTD).  Truth is, the HTML code generated by graphics apps is not web worthy.  It's really only intended for quick mock-ups to show a client before you rebuild everything with CSS & HTML code in Dreamweaver.

  • After updating my java plugin all my web pages look screwy?

    I checked my plug ins to make sure they were up to date, and I updated the ones that werent. Now my webpages are missing a ton of things (color, advertisements, pictures,etc). Some of the text will overlap itself, and most web pages just list there features in a vertical list down the left side of an all white screen. Please help?

  • My web page looks fine in Safari, not in Firefox...?

    Hi!
    When I look at my website ( http://www.visitnafplio.net ) in Safari, it displays the pages just as I made them in iWeb, but in Firefox stuff keeps moving to the wrong pages.
    I've asked a couple of friends to check it on their computers, and they have the same result.
    Can someone please tell my why, and if there is anything to do about this? The page is in Norwegian, but if you check for instance this page http://www.visitnafplio.net/visitnafplio.net/Nafplio/Nafplio.html
    you can se that the date under each sub-heading is hidden in Safari (as they should be), but not so in Firefox.
    Thank you for any help!

    Nobody?
    The problem is mainly that I have added small squares in the background colour to hide the date from the blog entries (it is not a blog). These squares don't stay in their right place in Firefox. If I could hide the dates in some other way the problem would be solved.
    I see other people in the forum are having the same problem, and the answers (something about .ccs-files) was totally Greek to me. I can't even find these files.
    Yes, I'm an idiot

  • Why font in Pages looks bad?

    With the same size and same font, why the way the fonts look in Pages compared to Office Word or even TextEdit, looks kinda crappy and not as smooth as Office Word and TextEdit will display?
    How to make it look smooth? It actually doesn't that important for printing, but I'm annoyed with the way it looks.

    The way fonts are rendered is simply different. The reasons why it is different are not known with certainty. There are some guesses, but they are fairly complicated and technical.
    And no, there is no way around it, except to change screen. Some users perceive no problems and other users perceive problems. Partly the difference may be in our brains, how we perceive small pixels, but it is also in the screen you are using.

  • How to make web pages easier to read?  If I increase the font size web pages look distorted and unusable.  The same goes for mail.  I love the ease of use with a MAC but at 55 I need better sized fonts without distorting the web sites?  Any suggestions?

    As you can see I am new to MAC;s so please be  patient with me.

    Yes, that made the fonts larger, but I lose viewing the full windows of Safari and Mail, the edges are cut off aand I cannot restore them by click and dragging them fully open again.   I appreciate the quick response, but I still have the same issue of ddistorted webpages and mail.

  • How do I print a web page and make it look "right"?

    When I try to print a web page, the printout (and preview) does not match the on-screen web page look. Does anyone know why that is? For example, the fonts change to Times New Roman, links appear underlined, the format changes, and some images disappear altogether. I am using a Dell laser 1720, but the issue occurred also on an (albeit old) Dell Inspiron laptop. (I believe this was not a problem using a newer Dell desktop, though...) So my question is two-fold:
    1. Why is this happening?
    and
    2. Where are the settings to change it?
    Thanks!

    Hi
    1: here's (probably) the why : http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=12169422&#12169422
    2: That's tough, if you're lucky someone wrote a handy Safari extension to modify print styles - otherwise it'd be tricky.

    Help, please?
    Esther

    according to the w3 validator your page has 96 errors! (thats a lot)
    on first glance of the code there and many puzzling things I saw
    firstly.
    <font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><title>Home Page Genealogical Society of the Northern Territory</font>
    </title>
    not only can you not put font tags on a page title.
    its nested wrong.
    in any case the font tag is deprecated
    secondly
    whats with these style declarations?
    .aliensheading { color: #008080;}
    .aliensheading { color: #008080;}
    .aliensheading { font-family: Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;}
    .aliensheading1 {color: #008080;}
    .aliensheading1 {color: #008080;}
    .aliensheading1 {font-family: Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;}
    its just duplication of the same thing
    is aliensheading any different to aliensheading1 at all?
    and again here
    .GREEN1 {color: #008080;}
    .GREEN1 {color: #008080;}
    .GREEN1 {color: #008080;}
    and here
    .Green {color: #408080;}
    .GreenStrong {color: #408080;}
    .GreenStrong {color: #408080;}
    your CSS should be declared in a separate file, and if not, at least within the head of the document.
    yours is sitting after the </head> but before <body> tag. its no wonder it isnt reading it!
    thirdly what is this???
    <p align="center"><strong><font size="3" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><strong><strong>
    <font size="3" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><strong><strong><font size="3" face="Verdana,

    </strong></font></strong></strong></font></strong></strong></font></strong></strong></font >
    </strong></font></strong></strong></font></strong></strong></font></strong></strong></font >
    </strong></p>
    from what I can see this is the only relevant info
    <img src="/~genient/images/GSNT Tree.GIF" width="75" height="55" alt="Tree" />
    and all your million declarations of
    <font size="3" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"> (all within a p mind you)
    can simply be replaced with
    p {
    font-family:Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
    font-size:3; (although I'd prefer px myself)
    fourthly you've got a list but it isnt a list because there is no <ul> or <ol> surrounding it.
    and lastly
    what is this????

  • Web page different from opening link in a new tab or new window from Google search results

    I had been using another browser for a few months because I did not want to lose the web pages I opened within Mozilla. I began using Mozilla again after saving off the web pages. I see that Google's web page pulls in search results as I type in keywords, a feature I don't remember seeing with other browsers along with a magnifying glass icon, like a look ahead of what a web page looks like before clicking on the link.
    With the list of search results, I click on the link and tell Mozilla to open the link in a new tab. I see the google icon, "loading..." or "testing...", then results other than the link I wanted. Those other results maybe bing.com, http://66.45.255.230/click.php?c=0920f96609cb269f1d0045095c09, http://superpages.iarbiz.com/o6gIoMdG6so=-tQ1LeOu1v0kY34rDZ|oRy8Xt294ACu6X, Info.com, Supermedia Reverse Proxy (http://superpages.iarbiz.com/o6gIoMdG6so=-tQ1LeOu1v0kY34rDZ|oRy8Xt294ACu6X)or whatever else. As for the link, I managed to press stop before being redirected.
    This is with any search results listed.
    I thought it was Google.
    Changed to Instant is off.
    Nope. Still the same issue. Have already gone after malware. Tried resetting the redirect value to 0.
    Above results also occur when opening the link in a new page via right menu click.
    Copying link location and pasting in a new window is displaying results okay.
    When resuming use of Mozilla, an update was available and installed. Did not experience the above issues before the update.
    Running version 3.6.12. Running Win XP Pro SP3.
    Had to go back to IE and Chrome/SRWare Iron.
    Example:
    Google keywords: rental cars
    Clicked on Ad: _Avis_Rent_a_Car_, link is Avis.com
    Clicked on top search result: Hertz_Rent-a-Car_-_Rental_Car_Discounts,_Coupons,_and_Great_Rates (magnifying glass), www.hertz.com

    Do a malware check with a few malware scan programs.<br />
    You need to use all programs because each detects different malware.<br />
    Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of the database before doing a scan.

  • Partial page view on web page

    Using an iMac Blueberry, G3, OS 9.1. On some web pages I cannot see the full page. The left side of the page is truncated and the scroll bar is bottomed out on the left side. I was told that some web producers are catering to the flat screen display that is larger than the CRT.
    Is there software or some other means to shrink the web page to obtain a 100% view rather than 80% of the picture with the other 20% out side the boundry of the CRT?
    M. Ogman
    powerpc G3   Mac OS 9.1.x

    Most web pages look okay at 1024x768 (XGA) anyhow. Designers know that the vast majority of users have XGA screens but nowadays SXGA, WXGA screens are commonplace but still I rarely see pages go much wider.
    Go to Apple Menu > Control Panel > Monitors and check you are set to 1024x768 resolution.

  • NoSquint properly resized web pages, but the upper taskbars are still too large--for instance, I can only the beginning of the URL. How to fix?

    After the latest Firefox version magnified everything, I used the NoSquint add-on (at 60%), which now makes web pages look as they did before. However, although the top two bars at the top of the screen are of normal size, the lower ones are still too large. The bar that contains the URL on the left and a Google search space on the right, for instance, can display only the first couple of letters of a URL (after the //).
    How do I make these bars look the way they used to? Thanks.

    Hi Anne, there is a setting in Firefox that controls the scaling of both the toolbar area and the content area. I'm guessing that you have your Windows font setting at 150%. In that case, I'm going to suggest you try to manually adjust the scaling in Firefox to 125% and then set NoSquint to 80%.
    Here we go!
    (1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
    (2) In the filter box, type or paste '''pix''' and pause while the list is filtered
    (3) Double-click '''layout.css.devPixelsPerPx''' and change its value to '''1.25''' for the equivalent of 125% font size in Windows display settings.
    If you view a tab with an address bar and this is not quite right you can adjust it to a different value, such as 1.2 (120%) or 1.3 (130%).
    Please do not go lower than 1.0 or everything will start to get tiny.
    Once that looks right, you can go back into your NoSquint settings and up your global zoom level for content to a comfortable number.
    Can you get it the way you want?
