Thank you for your reply Domingo. Your suggestion worked as far as sending me a link to buy the book at iTunes. But it did not allow me to download the book from my wife's account. I did finally get an answer from Apple. It took an entire day of emailing back and forth and the final answer was relatively easy once Apple finally decided to give up the solution. Basically, you have to open ibooks and sign out. Then you have to sign into ibooks using the book purchaser's Apple ID and password. Then you can download the book onto your device. Not too bad, huh? It only took a whole day of Apple people sending me wrong instructions before they figured it out. Geez. What a disappointing experience.

This may sound stupid, but I'm gonna throw it out there anyway. Is it possible, that if I have enough junk on my desktop it might disrupt the signal? It seems odd, but it kind of looks like my signal is strong and relatively steady now that I've cleaned my desktop. I do tend to get very cluttered. I use a lot of reference images and save text clippings to use later... it just piles up very quickly.
So, I wonder if all that extra effort my system has to do keeping up with the junk might have something to do with the drop outs?

If you have set this phone up, then there would not necessarily be a solution here until you have been verify with the provider that everything is provisioned correctly on their end. Since the 3G comes from your cellular provider, if the settings are correct on the phone, then you should work with the carrier next.

If you have set up photo stream, this can't be done. As soon as you switch off photo stream on her device to keep your photos from coming to her device, you won't get any as well from her. Same for messages, you can't have both, sorry.
Maybe look into the family sharing feature if you want the photos to be shared:

Interesting suggestion, but it's not clear to me how I would do that if I'm not using an "(at) icloud.com" email address/account. I am having the same problem with changed invitations that come from an organizer who is using Google Apps. Unfortunately the Mail app on the iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch does have the option to clear previous recipients. If you don't want to live with it, the only way to remove these cached email addresses from the Mail application is by restoring the iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch as a new iPad/iPhone/iPod. If you restore from backup, the cache is also restored.

What languase does the book's description page in the store say that it's in ? If it says that it's in English then try deleting it from the bookshelf in the iBooks app and redownload it via the Purchased tab in the ibookstore in the app.

On each Device, go to Settings>Messages>Send and Receive... and make certain that each device only has 2-items with check marks your phone number and your email address. click on the other persons number and email address such that it is not checked.

Hi Apple - Surely with the internet being global you can let "customers" select the country they dsownload from. I was goung to use Itunes but having tried twice to get UK downloads in Spain have given up on Itunes. How many others have.

I would really like Apple to take notice of the number of "customers" who want to download in their own language, not the language of the country they are in.
My Laptop was bought in England and my internet is an English provider. My bank account is in England. I happen to live in Spain. So why can't I download from an English Itune Store. I have not had this problem wih any other free App or webb based account, and I have many.
I have seen lots of posts saying it can't be done but Apple please pleae tell me why.
Apple must be loosing out on thousands of customers and heaven knows how much revenue.
Come on everyone get all your friends who have the same problem to let Apple know.
