Mysterious objectfile name in library

I am having a trouble with Forte C++ as it gives undefined symbol error
during link phase and I can't figure out from which file this symbol comes.
I am, however, 110% sure that in the library that compiler claims to have undefined std::copy(....) function, there is definedly no std::copy functions used. Neither there is no STL containers used that contain "unsigned long*" type values. Can any-one tell how I can "demangle" cryptic name of object file "wE6nQgLu6Bb-BQHSTdLQ.o" in the error message below so that I can really try to find from where this comes.
Undefined first referenced
symbol in file
__type_1 std::copy<const unsigned long*,unsigned long*>(__type_0,__type_0,__type_1) /home/wise/sparc-sun-solaris2.6/CC/lib/libWSParameters-0.86-CC6.a(wE6nQgLu6Bb-BQHSTdLQ.o)
ld: fatal: Symbol referencing errors. No output written to ../bin.SunOS-5.6/SMART-2000.1
This same library is used in another program of ours and there is no such problem at all. Also HP's aCC and gnu g++ compile this same program OK.

Because I am a bit of a nerd when it comes to film soundtracks. I make my own edits and chronological orders of them in a seperete playlist, and would like to rename the tracks as well, as they are often improperly titled. I guess my situation is a rare one.

Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
    /Library/Application Support/Conduit/Library/InputManagers/CTLoader
Click Go then move the Conduit/Library/InputManagers/CTloader file to the Trash.
The same for /Library/Receipts and /Library/Application Support
    Check these folders as well.
    /Library/InputManagers/CTLoader
    /Library/ScriptingAddtions (anything CTLoader realted)

  • No warning on duplicated names in library

Recently when i copy paste items from one document to another and they have the same names in library i got a warning message. It seems i turned off this warning somewhere but i can't find where. Any suggestions to get this warning back?

    Hello,
There is no more warning section in the preference...
There is well a "reset warnings" button, but it is grey (inaccessible)
Where are the good old CS preferences, by the way !
For the point you noticed :
It already happens to me, when the symbol I am replacing is exactly the same. When working on different version of the same file, for instance. Then there is no warning.

  • How to use path names for library filter?

    Hi all,
I have been looking for a way to use the library filter functionality to show only images in a particular folder (or subfolder thereof). From the help pages [http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Lightroom/3.0/Using/WSAB7B303E-081D-4617-BF47-B4B8D3D49CC3.htm l] I found that the image path is included when you filter using 'any searchable field'.
However, I do not seem to be able to use a full path name, just the individual directory names. To give an example, I can locate files in c:\data\photos using 'contains all: c data photos', but this will also select images in 'c:\data\someotherproject\photos'. I have tried all combinations of slashes and backslashes, but have found no solution to this problem. Does anyone know what the internal representation for the path name is, and if it's possible to search for it?
Just to pre-empt the obvious answer: I know that you can simply click on a folder to show its contents. However, using the filter bar would be a more permanent selection of a working directory, which remains when you click on a collection, for example.
    Thanks.
    Simon

Sorry, I could have been clearer.
What I'm trying to achieve is the following. My computer contains photos by myself, my wife and others, organised in three main folders. Having them in separate catalogs isn't convenient, because we often have photos of the same event (outings, holidays). However, most of the time I only want to work on my photos, and my wife wants to work on hers. A directory filter would be a good and fool-proof way of doing things. I am currently using a special keyword to do this, but I must remember to apply the correct keyword when importing.
Adding a folder as a favorite only works to select that folder in its entirety. What I would like to do is to have a 'master' folder selected and then use Lightroom as I normally would (select folders, collections, etc) Filtering by path name would enable me to do just that - and it does, except that there are false positives due to not being able to enter a full path name.
A smart collection has the same problem: the 'Folder' rule doesn't seem to support paths. And even if it did, it's not possible to select two collections with a logical 'and' operator, unless you make a new smart collection for each possibility.
My current keyword workaround is functional, but slightly error-prone. And in any case, if 'any searchable field' includes the file path, it stands to reason that there should be a way to match that with the entire path. The documentation isn't clear about this, so I hope that anyone can shed some light on this.

  • How to import MP3 with file name into library, rather than tag?

I've been given a CD with about 200 MP3s of lectures. They are to be listened to in order, and the file names reflect the order number, like "lecture 1", "lecture 2", etc. However, when I drag them all into iTunes, the names in the iTunes library don't include the file names - they are simply "lecture", which I guess must come from a tag in the MP3 file. So iTunes is ignoring the file name and thus I end up with 200 entries in my iTunes library that can't be ordered properly. How can I get it to use the file name when importing?
    Mike

If you have your iTunes preferences set to keep your iTunes Music folder organized, it's possible that even the file names have changed according to the files' tags. In that case, you'll need to (at least temporarily) disable this option and import the files from your CD again.
Once you're sure the files have been successfully added to your iTunes library and the file names kept intact, you can use the Filenames to Song Names script from Doug's AppleScripts for iTunes.
This should get everything sorted out.

  • Why does Flash generate invalid class names for library items?

I imported a bunch of bitmaps (PNGs).  The library symbol names all included the full file name and its extension.  When I check "export for actionscript" it generates a class name based on the symbol name, and it includes the ".png", even though that's invalid in a class name.
When I select multiple bitmaps and choose properties and export for actionscript, it has a note saying that classnames will be automatically generated for all items, but it does the same thing... including the ".png" in all the class names.  Is this a problem?  Wouldn't it save time if Flash would automatically strip the file extension from the instance name of bitmap library symbols when generating class names?

Thank you Nipun.  That is exactly the behavior I would expect, and I can confirm that in the trial of Flash CC it generates valid class names by removing the file extension.  For example, a file named "3ball.test.png" will receive an auto-generated class name of "_3ball_test", so it really does ensure the class name is valid (meeting AS3 class name syntax)
kglad, what I'm saying is that an image file name like "ball.png" is not a valid "class name", because it contains a period, which is reserved as a package delimiter.  I know the runtime can handle it as a valid "fully-qualified class name", but it's misleading because it's actually creating a class named "png" in package "ball", BUT it's understood that the auto-generated name is not supposed to be specifying any package, hence the misleading specification.  The class would have to be instantiated like this: "import ball.png; var bd:BitmapData = new png();" or "import ball.*; var bd:BitmapData = new png();"  You would also then have to import every single class individually and always use their fully qualified names, because you'd technically have a bunch of classes all named "png" inside a hundred different packages.  It's just not acceptable.
The other problem that occurred in CS6 is if you loaded a bunch of files whose names started with numbers, then when you select them all, choose properties, and use the batch properties window to export them for actionscript, I noticed that such images would be auto-assigned generic names like "Class4" as it would realize the default auto-generated class name would be invalid.  This problem has been fixed beautifully in Flash CC.
Nipun, it would actually be very helpful to have a little more control over the class naming conventions.  For example, if I wanted all my BitmapData classes to exist in an "images" folder or package, it would be helpful if in the batch properties window I could specify a package name for all the auto-generated class names.  When importing hundreds of images, it's very tedius to have to edit them individually and I don't always have time to write a JSFL script.  There's room in that window to add a text field for a package name.  Thanks!

  • Strange album names in Library

Hi- I was having some issues with my iPhoto Library working with iPhoto Buddy (gave up on that for now anyway) and looked at my Pictures--->iPhoto Library--->Albums and noticed 3 odd names (they show as just Documents- is that correct?): Pending Rotation, Photo Library and one called Scrapbooking Stuff that I don't see in my actual iPhoto app- thought I deleted it- it's not listed in iPhoto anymore. So what are these 3 that I see in my iPhoto Library Album list? I don't dare delete them- iPhoto is very sensitive to that. Thanks, Judy

    mrstee:
That Albums folder is a leftover from the iPhoto 5 days. iPhoto 6 does not use it and you can trash it. To be perfectly sure, move it to the desktop and then launch iPhoto. It should run as intended. Then you can trash that folder.
These are the items you should see a iPhoto 6 library folder. As you see there is no Albums folder.

  • HFM Member names in library

    Hi all,
We are new to HFM and we are in the beginning stages of building the dimension library. Can someone please tell me if you can have "spaces" or "dashes" in the member names?
    i.e.:
    Account dim:
    A-789389
    Entity dim:
    12510-8794
    Thanks

    Spaces can be used.
But minus sign (-) cannot be.
As a good practice would suggest use spaces sparingly and a single space at max to avoid retrieval issues in writing smartview reports.
    hope this helps

  • Crazy folder names in library

Lately my computer has been freezing a lot. I stating looking around and have found a bunch of folders in my library folder with crazy names. Gibberish, they are not all te same, but names with combinations of symbols and nonsense.
The computer does have issues when I'm in Photoshop 5, although I have crashed in other programs or while the browser has been running. I have plenty of open hard disk space.
What do I do to clean up the is mess and figure out where it is coming from?

    Where were (are) you looking?

  • Change name on Library folder

A Macbook had their "names" in accounts changed and lot of trouble started. Apple take note: There should be and warning about this. Its very likly that some want to change these settings. The only warning is a password which is also asked for unimportant operations aswell.
So this problem is solved. But one persist.
I cant rename the Libraryfolder back to local language (Norwegian) . If I do, a Library folder with default stuff, is made. When I do cmd-I on the Libraryfolder at the level of harddisk, it has both the english name and the norwegian name. How can I rename the libraryfolder to get the proper local name?

    Hi There
I suggest creating a new admin user and deleting the current one as changing the name can cause erratic behaviour, just make sure to move any important files over to the new admin user before deleting the current one.
I also suggest creating a standard account to be used for everyday computing eg. checking email, web browsing etc. and just using the Admin account to install software and updates. This also adds an extra layer of security to your machine.
    Hope this helps

  • Two windows user names, one library

Does anyone have any idea how to combat this issue? My wife and I both have seperate user names on our computer. Therefore we each have seperate iTunes library files. I have managed to get our shared music library in the "Public" folder so that we do not have duplicate songs on the computer. However, the problem arises with the iTunes library files. When I use iTunes it accesses my library file and when she uses iTunes it accesses her library. That means that if I add songs to my library, the song files will be stored in our shared "public" folder, but her library file will not know about them (they are part of MY library) and therefore she will not see that we have them available. Is there any way to get iTunes to access the public iTunes library file so that we can avoid this situation? Thanks.

You and the Mrs. would have to connect your iTunes Libraries to the same .itl file.
Have a look at this article in the Apple Knowledge Base for details on how to do so.
Not that this will mean you have identical Libraries: identical contents, identical playlists, identical ratings, identical comments, etc.

  • HT5260 iPhoto/Aperture name of library

    Hello all,
I just purchased Aperture last night (3.4.3). I'm running 10.8.2 ML. All of my photos were previously in iPhoto. When I first opened Aperture it asked if I wanted to merge, I choose yes (in order to have a "unified" library).
I can view all my photos in both iPhoto and Aperture. The question that I am getting to here is regarding the name and type of the library. I only have one library in my "photos" folder, it is named iPhoto Library, so every time I open Aperture it says that it is opening the iPhoto library. If I look at the type of library from the finder in "Get Info" the type is an iPhoto library.
So basically I have no Aperture library, just an iPhoto library.
Does this sound normal? Should I / Can I change the name of the library (to avoid any confusion, since I'll be using Aperture for my photo organization and editing needs), maybe change the name to something like "Steve's Photo Library"? Do I / Can I change the type of library to an Aperture library? Is any of this necessary?
It just seems odd that when using Aperture it states that I am using an iPhoto library.
I hope my query makes sense. Thanks for helping.
    Steve
PS - I've read all the Apple support articles, watched videos, searched this forum along with Aperture Expert and just can't seem to find anything similar to my issue with the library.
    Thanks again.

Yes, it does sound normal as Larry explained, see Aperture 3.3: Using a unified photo library with iPhoto and Aperture
Can I change the name of the library (to avoid any confusion
And yes, you can change the name of the library, and it may be useful, when you are working with more than one library.  Aperture shows the name of the library it is currently browsing in the library inspector pane. This way you will notice, when iPhoto or Aperture create a new Photo lIbrary; this sometimes will happen, when the drive with your Photo Library is offline.
To change the name of the library, select it in the Finder and open the Info panel by pressing the key combination ⌘I (or use "File > Get Info"). Then disclosse the "Name and Extension" brick and change the name, but not the file name extension.
Do I / Can I change the type of library to an Aperture library? Is any of this necessary?
You cannot simply change the type of the library and better not try. It is nececessay to know the original type of the library. If you look at the document LarryHN  pointed to (scroll down to the last paragraphs), you will see that some of the library items you created in iPhoto cannot be read or changed in Aperture. You will need iPhoto to browse or edit your older iPhoto Print Products, etc.
Also, remember to reveal all images that you have hidden in iPhoto, before you switch to Aperture. his cannot be done in Aperture.

  • Music files mysteriously missing from itunes library

I have never had problems with my Itunes until now. Over 8GB of music has gone missing from my Itunes Library, there is still 2GB of random music left in the Library. Is there any way this could have happened as I have not done anything manually to move or delete any music. And how do I get the music back??? Please help as I have just had my Ipod stolen so now I have no music on computer to put onto a new Ipod if/when I get one.

I've had the same problem ... does Apple have the right to remove tunes from my hard drive?

  • Mysterious skn name in project setup - what file is being referenced?

I have a strange situation where the Project Set-up pod shows that I am using a skin with Name A, yet when I use Windows Explorer to browse the project files, there is no skin with Name A anywhere in the vicinity. Another oddity is that the Project Set-up pod shows five or six possible skins to choose from, yet there are definitely only two in the project folder.
Is it possible that the project is pointing a skin that exists elsewhere on my system? For example, to some other folder that I previously used as a working folder? Is there anyway to get RoboHelp to tell me which file it is pointing to?
    thanks in advance,
    Roy

To answer the skin name issue, RoboHelp displays the same skin name in Project setup pod as present in the project skin folder on disk.
    This is the default behavior.
However, if you rename the skin through Project setup pod, it displays the updated name and updates the entry of skin name in the skin file on the disk. However, the skin file name on disk is not updated. Thus windows explorer shows the original file name though the content of the files have been updated.
    For Example
If you a create a WebHelp skin with the name "sampleskin", it creates a file "sampleskin.skn" on the disk. When you rename the skin from sampleskin.skn" to "newskin", the filename on the disk remains "sampleskin.skn", though the entry of filename with the .skn file is updated.

  • Name That Library iPhoto 08

At the top of my iPhoto screen, it doesn't tell me which library I happen to have open.
How do I get it to tell me??

You'll need to use iPhoto Library Manager to manage multiple libraries and display the library title at the top. The free version will manage the libraries but to copy events or albums between libraries and keep the metadata intact you'll need the paid version.
    Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
