N70 & PC Suite - no connection?

My brand new N70 does not find the PC Suite :-( I tried the "Get Connected" with no luck with both cable and bluetooth.
BT seems to be working ok, though, an I can get files to PC using BT.
Any ideas? I soo-oo would like to sync my Lifeblog, too...

Using Nokia N70
I was used to connect my N70 via USB without any problems, with PCSuite 6.70 (Got within CD).
But when i upgraded my PCSuite 6.70 to PCSuite 6.82, i started to get problems. My PC (both in my Toshiba Laptop & HP Pavilion a1509in) doesn't recogize N70 in USB mode.
Before some weeks i uninstalled the newer version PCSuite (Ver. 6.82) and installed PCSuite 6.70 (got within CD). And again i found the same difficulity to get connected. But yesterday i tried several times switching on - off my mobile and got noticed that my N70 has been connected to PCSuite via USB. I couldn't find what's moving on. What's the problem.
I've contacted Nokia. Hope get a reply from them.

  • Ovi Suite Network connection error

    Hello everyone,
Since two weeks I just cannont acces the server from the update service on ovi suite. I've never had that problem before the error I get is this one:
    network connection error
nokia ovi suite software update service is not responding make sure the internet connection is working o check your firewall settings and try again later
    network connection error
"nokia ovi suite software update service is not responding make sure the internet connection is working or check your firewall settings and try again later"
My connection works just fine and I disabled the firewall and antivirus, so I don't know what's happening.
I have a N86 8MP and even though I know I cannot get a nex firmware I just want to reinstall the firmware but it's impossible to do it.
One last question, is it posssible to make a downgrade of the phone's firmware?
    Thank you!

It seems a server problem..keep trying..
Meanwhile you can uninstall and reinstall NOS again if there is some thing wrong with Ovisuite
    1. Uninstall Ovi Suite, PC Connectivity solution and Nokia Connectivity cable drivers from Add/remove program if anything is there.
    2. Delete the files from here If anything is there
    C:\Documents and Settings\User\Application Data\Nokia\Ovi Suite
    C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Application Data\Nokia
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\OviInstallerCache
    3. Please search and download MSI clean up utility from microsoft website
Once installed please select the programs related to Nokia and click remove.
    Restart Computer.
Then download from microsoft website and install Windows Installer, so that the installer is upto date.
    4. Restart the PC
    5. Download and Install latest OviSuite http://europe.nokia.com/support/download-software/nokia-ovi-suite
    6. Connect the device and try

  • OVI Suite not connecting to map server - NOT SOLVE...

Because this /t5/Nokia-Ovi-Suite/OVI-Suite-not-connecting-to-map-server/td-p/708275 discussion has been marked as solved and it's not. I wonder when we'll have any feedback from Nokia Support? It must be the new Nokia Ovi Suite causing the problem because we all have the same problems. I have tried on three different computers with good stable internet connections and get the "connection timed out" error on all of them. Using Nokia 5230 and have tried both on XP and Vista.

    @mokrypes
This seems to be working now. I tried today to download US maps and it completed and installed without any issues. Guess there was some problem with the map server.

  • N70, PC suite doesn't recognize it when connected

Please help me, I have a N70 since january 07 and I was able to download some music from my PC. Then a few weeks ago I tried to change music, download new one and download photos. The PC suite always says that there is no phone connected. My PC and the phone recognizes the USB connection but not the Nokia PC suite software. I uninstall and reinstall the software twice, once from the CD that comes with the phone and once from Nokia webpage. Any ideas as what could be the problem and how to solve it???
    Thanks

  • Nokia N70 - PC Suite 6.70.22 connectivity problem

    Please help!
I am running Windows XP and have installed Nokia PC Suite 6.70.22 but it will not detect my Nokia N70.
Whenever I try to "Get Connected" it searches for a phone but just hangs and never finds it.
In Control Panel - Phone and Modem Options - Modems there is no mention of a Nokia modem. Should there be?
Under System - Device Manager there is also no mention of Nokia. Should there be?
Am I missing some drivers? How can I tell which one I should have or where they should be?
I am also running Norton Anti-Virus/Firewall 2006 but I opted for "allow connection" when it asked me.
As an aside, I have also installed Samsung PC Studio for use with my Samsung D600 but the PC won't detect that phone either.
Also, I have a Nokia 7250 and a DKU-5 cable but guess what? That doesn't work either!
Which leads me to think it's the PC not the phones/software.
    Any clues anyone?

I would suggest uninstalling PC Suite, disconnceting from the Internet, disable Norton and any other antivirus and firewall software, install PC Suite again and get your phone connected. Once it;s working, re-enable your security software again before going back online.
Yes, in phone and modem options you should get an entry indicating either Nokia or Bluetooth modem... or however you are connecting.
In Device Manager you should have an entry for wireless communication devices and you should also have an entry under modems...
Your other phone suites could also be causing conflicts... I would suggest starting off with having only 1 installed at a time... then when you get that working, you could try adding another and see if they both work ok when installed together.

  • N70, PC Suite, SMS problem

Everything works well except sending SMS messages via PC Suite.

Im pretty new here and ive been reviewing the lots of thread to see if there is any issue that resembles mine.
I have used my n70 for a month happily until my PC was struck with a virus (brontok virus / trojan horse). For some reason my mobile seems to have been affected as when i use my card reader the virus automatically creates a folder name that resembles any existing folder in my rs-mmc with file name with .exe extension.
i resorted in formatting my N70 and rs-mmc and cleaned my PC as soon as i noticed a recurring instances where the PC suite cannot send SMS with the connected n70. The phone and PC sync is never ending, and prompts that the Sms cannot be sent, while at the same time the mobile inbox or sent box item messages are replicating / multiplying 4x or 5x fold - giving me one intance 1,025 sms (making the memory full).
i was devastated as i am based with lots of SMS requirment and pc suite is really ideal to do this. i have downgraded to PC suite 6.6 to resolve the issue but it still gives the same problem - sms replicating, sms cannot be sent and even now that my inbox holding only only 5 messages it is replicating 5x each messages and even showing the old sms that is no longer in my inbox????? in less than couple of minutes...messages has multiplied to 900plus. Please help......
I have a number of times, uninstalled the PC suite and reinsttalled it but no use.

  • Nokia PC Suite Update Connection Problem

My Nokia Pc Suite version 6 worked perfectly from my laptop to Nokia N70 through a USB Bluetooth connection (MSI Bluetooth device and BlueSoleil Software)
I downloaded and installed Nokia PC suite 6.82. The new PC suite opened but when I tried to connect a the following message apeared: "There is no available connection type and therefor connection to the phone cannot be established. The wizard will exit"
BlueSoleil was connected to the phone through the USB device all the time.
I deleted version 6.82 and reinstalled version 6 which now also fails to connect!!!!!!!
    Am I stupid or what!!!

    Hello Everyone
I've been experiencing the same issue (cannot connect to the device or similar message given by the Nokia PC Suite software) for 4 weeks now and until recently put the problem down to the Bluetooth Stack software driver provided by Toshiba with my new laptop. The reason for why I thought it was Toshiba's fault (and spent hours over the last 4 weeks on the phone to their support department) was because each time the connectivity issue arose I managed to resolve it by uninstalling and re-installing the Toshiba Bluetooth stack software driver via the Windows Add/Remove programs which then allowed the PC Suite Software to recognise my Nokia N73 software. I found that reinstalling the Nokia PC Suite software did not resolve the issue although I am convinced that it is the cause of the issue. Therefore, you may wish to try reinstalling whichever Bluetooth driver software (the one provided by your hardware provider or the MS windows one) just to see if this resolves the problem.
Please note though that almost every time that I install new software onto my laptop e.g. anti virus etc the connectivity issue resurfaces and I have to reinstall the bluetooth software to overcome. I have resigned myself to doing this as at least I know that it works although Nokia really ought to fix this once and for all in their software.
By the way, I am also using Nokia PC Suite version 6.82.22.0 and have never had an issue with connecting via a USB cable.
    Good luck!

  • PCMCIA Bluetooth adapter - N70 - PC Suite

I would like to use a PCMCIA bluetooth adapter to connect my N70. Mainly to free up the USB connectors on my laptop.
Are there any compatible devices and driver software available?
So far I have tried a TDK TRBLU04 without success.
    Please advise!
    Woody7985

i think the problem you will face is that many of the older pcmcia adapters use drivers that are not compatible with pc suite, and there is no way to update them to compatible versions.
the best thing to do would be to visit TDK's website and download the latest drivers there. if they are compatible with pc suite, we can go on from there.

  • PC Suite No Connect Fix

Ok, I searched the forums in vain and tried every single thing.
At work I have a fresh XP Pro over a dual core, but didn't have the cable so I just plugged an USB Bluetooth dongle and then popped PC Suite over. Worked like a charm.
At home, however, it was a disaster zone. Errors in MSI files, errors installing, phone was not detected. Uninstall, clean, error. Over and over again. Phone was located OK via offline transfer mode, everything was fine, but the PC Suite never detected nothing. So I tried the cleaner, still nothing.
Even worse, the more I "cleaned" the worse it got, to a point where PC Suite claimed I had no cable, no serial, no bluetooth and no IR so, as a result, Fk me, what do I want? After much of the trial-and-error work, here is the way it finally worked:
*WARNING* You do this at your own risk. Should you decide to proceed, print this message or at least READ IT THROUGH. There is a chance you need a hint and this message is not there for you. Backing up is a GREAT idea. You should be 18 if you are on this forum so use your brain.
    * Uninstall older PC Suite if any
    * Uninstall everything else related to Nokia that actually uninstalls (my driver and connectivity solutions were stuck)
    * Run the cleaner and clean throughly. ("issues with uninstallation" and "clean my pc")
    * At this point, you'd think you got away with it but you did no such thing. Files are still there. so:
** Search the whole drive for "nokia". Delete everything that has the name on it. Nothing Nokia ever made was critical for your OS. ESPECIALLY nuke any INF file you find (archive if you are the cautious type), they are most likely old. Turns out the new phone loaded old files. You clean yet? No.
** Open Regedit and search for Nokia. Make sure your search includes keys, values, names, etc. Delete everything that has the logo. If it's a CLSID key (with curly braces and numbers/letters, like {ADC987-etcetc}), delete the whole {} key, not the subkey with Nokia dll or sys or exe. Keep going and remove from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE any devices that mount on USB with the Nokia on them. Again, nothing Nokia ever wrote was system critical, the chance of actually nuking anything is close to null. I DELETED OVER 100 KEYS. If you found 3, you either did it wrong or you didn't try so many times. Maybe you never had so many versions. Anyway.
NOW you have a clean drive and a clean registry hive. Just to make sure, also search drive for "PCSuite", there is a common folder named like that.
    * reboot. (NOTE there is a chance your computer hangs while loading. The Nokia cleaner tries to call some Unregister files, but they are not there. Should this happen, press Alt+ctrl+del, start Task manager and kill Regsvr32.exe. System will continue loading.) Also note that if you reboot after the PC Suite clean tool you should avoid this issue altogether.
    * You now have a clean system.
    * Install Nokia PC Suite 6.28 2 (whatever the latest is). DO NOT TRY CABLE DRIVERS FIRST. It didn't even work on my machine, but you never know, why risk a version conflict? Once it's done, the connect wizard starts. Next it to where it asks for connection. You now have *fresh* inf files, so it's safe to plug your phone. When it's plugged, select "PC Suite" from the connection type dialog in the phone. When this happens, and you did everything right, an avalanche of small dialogs will start to install the devices that emulate the phone behavior. Some will go faster, some will go slower. Be patient, modem is most likely last. At some point, PC Suite will say in the background that it found your phone.
    * Congrats. The process is called "uninstalling the previous version" in the less-than-automatic way. I have no idea about you, but MY installation loaded some of the files it used on my old 7610 phone so no connection, obviously.
IMHO, the PC Cleaner tool should also clean hardware keys it creates directly or indirectly. If a key for a driver already exists, Windows will fail silently to mount other drivers. Someone should have known that.

    Hi out there,
i deinstalled the Toshiba BT Manager.
I installed another BT Dongle (USB from Yakumo). It worked after several tries.
Unfortunately i had to give it back to my collegue.
I deinstalled all that YAKUMO-Stuff and made another try.
With Toshiba SD Card now works:
    - Usage of GPRS Modem Connection via BT (COM 41)
    - Exchange of Data within Windows Explorer
But there is NO WAY to establish a Serial Connection (i configured it on COM42 with the Connection Wizard) between the Portege and the Nokia.

  • Pc suite "no connections available"

    Hello
I need your help about Nokia PC Suite and Nokia Ovi Suite.
I use Nokia PC Suite many years without any problem until last week.
After I formatted my pc I reinstalled the latest version of  Nokia PC Suite but when I try to connect my Nokia E71 I receive the message “no connection available”.
Indeed under the “manage connections” tab there is not any connection
(USB cable, infrared (IrDA), or Bluetooth).
I uninstalled Nokia PC Suite and I installed the Nokia Ovi Suite but my E71 “cannot be found”. I tried many different procedures the last three days but…nothing.
All the rest of the programs  I reinstalled after formatted my pc work perfect.
    My system’s details:
Windows XP Professional 32-bit (for first time I updated to Service Pack 3).
    Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.20GHz
    RAM: 512
About the Bluetooth version here is what I read in Control Panel / Bluetooth Devices / Hardware:
BCM2035 Bluetooth 2.4 GHz Single Chip Transceiver.
    Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator.
Please could anyone you tell me what mistake I make?
    Thank you.

512 MB RAM? You need more than that, my friend.

  • E71 Using Nokia Suite to connect to the internet

This may be a Nokia Suite problem but the first time I add my E71, via Bluetooth, to Nokia Suite I can use the phone to connect to the internet successfully.
After I shut my PC down and reboot the connection will not work, Nokia Suite tells be that it "Cannot establish a network connection".
The cure is that every time I wish to use I have to remove the phone from Nokia Suite then add it in again.
This is a laborious process and should be totally unnecessary.
I'm using Windows 7, the laciest version of Nokia Suite, have the latest software on my E71 & all the latest drivers, Bluetooth etc, installed.
In functional terms it seems after that initial use something is not getting 'released' or 'reset' properly.
Nokia please help me why your software is not working.

  • SOA Suite 11g - Connection Pools constantly getting suspended...

    Hi,
I have composites, bpel processes using database adapters.
*I keep getting "+Pool mds-owsm is Suspended, cannot allocate resources to applications+"  and " Pool SOALocalTxDataSource is Suspended, cannot allocate resources to applications.." in soa_server logg.*
There are no errors in db trace logs. It seems related to the WLS JDBC data sources, they are constantly getting suspended.
After a while no new connections can be created, and managed soa server hangs. Restart is the only "solution" for now...
I have increased "Maximum Capacity" on the connection pool to 300 without success.
    Any ideas, pointers, help appreciated.

From JDeveloper, the application-server & integration-server connection entry tests are failing with errors.. Oracle support didn't help us much.. below are more details about the issue:
The AJP & OPMN ports are opened between web-server & app-server. Web-server's opmn
request port is 6006 and app-server's opmn request port is
    6207
From JDeveloper, how should we define the application server connection & integration server connection entries?
We have defined the app-server connection with F5 VIP as the
host & 6207 as the opmn port#, and the connection test is failing.
For integration-server connection, we used the above app-server connection, and 7777 as the http port. and the test fails for
application server connection, but BPEL & ESB test results are successful.
But we are able to successfully deploy the bpel & esb services
from Jdeveloper using the above integration-server connection entry.
Could you tell us the proper values we should use (including F5 setup & firewall ports which need to be opened) so that the
connection tests in JDeveloper work without errors?
    thank you

    Hi,
Port details you can get under file "opmn.xml" located at:
    <SOA_Home>\opmn\conf
For OPMN port, Use the value of 'request' attribute present under <port> tag.
    Cheers,
    Abhi...
