N8 - issue date/time alarm
This morning... I woke up late since my alarm didn't go off. Switched on my phone and saw that the date was 26/01/2011 and 10pm... Instead of 7.40am and 22/02/2011... (my alarm goes off at 6.45am)
As far as I know, the time was correct yesterday evening when I switched it off, so I don't know why my N8 suddenly decided to change the date/time :-(
Mine has done this a couple of times. I've also had the alarm randomly going off at stupid times in the morning when no alarm has been set.
The longer I have this N8, the more disappointed I get.

Issues with System Preference and its (Date & Time)
Hi All,
I am facing a problem with my Date settings on my Mac.
Below is a screenshot of how my time and date looks like on the top panel. (Please
take note of the weird time format.)
Then, I proceeded to check its settings on System Preferences. Once I clicked the Date & Time button ; System Preferences crashes and produces the following error log.

I don't understand how I should interprete this problem and I have done disk verification and repaired permissions via the "Restore Disk" utility which is performed by pressing down the OPTIONS button through a Restart.
Please advise me on this issue.Back up all data if you haven’t already done so. Before proceeding, you must be sure you can restore your system to the state it’s in now.
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ If you’re running Mac OS X 10.7 or later, open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the page that opens.
Drag or copy – do not type – the following line into the Terminal window, then press return:
defaults delete -g AppleICUTimeFormatStrings
Log out and log back in. Try to open the Date & Time preference pane. If it opens, recreate your time-format settings.
If the pane still crashes, enter the following command in the same way as before:
rm Library/Preferences/.GlobalPreferences.plist
Log out and log back in again. You'll need to recreate more of your settings in several of the built-in preference panes. -
Master data: maintain "Goods Issue Processing Time" in R3 and CIF it ?
Hello,
we want to use the so called GIPRT (Goods Issue Processing Time) in the APO material master (Tab: GR/GI) to schedule SNP PREQs. I can maintain the field in APO but finally I'm looking for maintaining it in the conencted R3 material master (MM02). I see a field in R3 called MARC-GI_PR_TIME but after scanning the material master customizing I think you can't add that to any dynpro in MM01/02/03.
I wonder if this field (MARC-GI_PR_TIME) in R3 is truly meant for maintaining the Goods Issue Processing Time in R3 and transfering it to SCM via the CIF or whether its there but has no function or is maintained somewhere else in R3. Any idea ?
Workaround obviously would be to maintain the field in APO directly - but that's what I want to avoid since 99% of master data are coming from R3.
Regards
ThomasHi Thomas,
You can implement user exit EXIT_SAPLCMAT_001 and can write code based on your requirement ( May be you want to transfer this GR time for some of the products only). You can push the values by this user exit for any field in APO.
Thanks,

HCM Process & Forms: Date & Time Stamp issue in Prev Comments Box
Hi
We implemented HCM Process and Forms and we are in EHP4. We need user name, date and time stamp in each step for audit purpose.
Form Process Example:
Step1: Manager -> Initiates a Form for employee pay/position changes (REQUEST)
Step2: 1-Up Manager -> Approves a Form for employee pay/position changes (APPROVE)
Step3: HR Admin -> Process a Form for employee pay/position changes (PROCESS)
Process Overview: HR Admin can open a form once all steps are completed and they want to see all 3 steps date & stamp here.
New Comments -> To enter user comments in each step. Used data type HRASR_CURRENT_NOTE
Previous Comments-> To display prev. step / user's comments including user name, date & time. Used data type HRASR_PREVIOUS_NOTES.
I tried all different property settings in the form. May be I am still missing some property settings here.
Issue: If user enters any comments in "New Comments" box then only date & time stamp is coming along with their comments in "Previous Comments" otherwise not showing anything, just blank in the Prev. Comments. I added some code in form script in case no data in "New Comments" then default a value ":" . It is working fine for first step but not working the same for other 2 steps.
Trying in different way:
Creating 3 text fields in a form just for display purpose and modifying each field (data set) with some text (combination of user name, system date and time) at each stage/step in a BADI.
Method: IF_HRASR00GEN_SERVICE~DO_OPERATIONS
Here it is updating correctly for first step/stage (REQUEST) and other 2 fields are not updating accordingly. I did debug for each step and updating the data set correctly but finally not dispalying the valuse in a form except first field.
Can someone please share your ideas or inputs.
Appreciate your time & help!
Thanks
HariHi Sahir
Thank you for your reply.
As I explained in my post, user details with date & stamp are coming when user enters some comments otherwise it is blank., All users may not enter comments because it is not a "required".
HR is needed this for audit purpose, just at end of the process they need to see all user names, date & stamp in the form. Forget about comment boxes, Can't we make just simple text fields with user details for each step (all 3 stages)?
FYI:

FileMonitor issue for date time stamp change.
Hi I have an app that runs with a minor issue and I am looking for some insight for a workaround or code change.
I have a File Monitor that checks a specific directory every second.
Users send a batch run to this directory throughout the day. There are two types of files, .ZIPs and .DONEs.
So for each .ZIP a .DONE is sent to notify the app it can begin to process the file.
Here is what I receive
/elements/process/File1.ZIP Oct 15 08:19
/elements/process/File1.DONE Oct 15 08:19
The problem I am encountering is sometimes the .DONE and. ZIP are sent and the date time stamp of both files are the same so when the monitor reads the directory it looks like there is no change so both files sit in the directory and do not process. To make this work, I usually go in and touch a file to change the date time stamp.
This is a java app that runs on an AIX box.
Here is my code, is there anything any once can suggest to help me out. Thanks in advance.
* Subclass of FileMonitor, Handles the timer event
* @param none
private class FileMonitorNotifier extends TimerTask
public void run()
// Loop over the registered files and see which have changed.
// Uses the Modifed DateTimeStamp to determine if there was a change.
// Use a copy of the list in case listener wants to alter the
// list within its fileChanged method.
try
Collection files = new ArrayList (hmFiles.keySet());
for (Iterator i = files.iterator(); i.hasNext(); )
File file = (File) i.next();
long lastModifiedTime = ((Long) hmFiles.get (file)).longValue();
long newModifiedTime = file.exists() ? file.lastModified() : -1;
// Check if file has changed
if (newModifiedTime != lastModifiedTime)
// Register new modified time
hmFiles.put(file, new Long (newModifiedTime));
// Notify listeners
for (Iterator j = colListeners.iterator(); j.hasNext(); )
WeakReference reference = (WeakReference) j.next();
FileListener listener = (FileListener) reference.get();
// Remove from list if the back-end object has been GC'd
if (listener == null)
j.remove();
else
listener.fileChanged (file);
catch(Exception ex)
m_odLaunch.logError(OdIntegrationConstants.ERROR_LEVEL_MIDLEVEL, ex);
}Yes, I guess you are right, I don't care what time each file came, as long as I have both I can being to unzip and process and delete the .DONE.
The code itself was based on if a filechanged then do work.... I could just take this out. Thanks!
* This is the main entry point when there is a change to the modified date/time
* of the monitor directory
* @param file directory we are monitoring
public void fileChanged (File file)
StringBuffer sbMessage;
try
sbMessage = new StringBuffer();
//Make sure this is a Directory
if(file.isDirectory())
//Return list of files with extension we are looking for
File[] arFiles = file.listFiles((FilenameFilter)new FileSuffixMonitor(m_odLauncher));
for(int i=0;i < arFiles.length;i++)
sbMessage.append("Found file association to move-" );
sbMessage.append(arFiles.toString());
m_odLauncher.logInstance(sbMessage.toString());
processMoveFile(arFiles[i]);

LG Octane Camera Date/Time Stamp Issues
The pics I take with my LG Octane are designated a number associated with the date/time the pic was taken (ex 0401121345, would be April 1, 2012 at 145pm). When I transfer the pics from my phones memory card to my computer and open the pics, I can see the pics info (date/time) and everything seems correct.
The problem comes in when I load my pics onto a website that verifies the pics date/time thru the digital encoding on the pics file. (Digital Pics are encoded with date/time stamps that can be recognized with computer software). This website rejects my submitted pics from my LG Octane because this encoding is either not there or not set correctly. I had no issue previously when using my Samsung env last year. Please Help!I take it you are noticing that the photo shows in your gallery with the correct time for the name. But, when you look at the photos on your computer it is showing a time so many hours off (ie. phone shows 12:00 and computer shows 4:00). What it is actually doing is time stamping it for GMT for some reason. This has been a problem for as long as I know. I have not found an answer and have come to believe there is not a way of changing the time/date stamp on the phone. I have not even found an app for it.
Sorry I don't have an answer. But, maybe some one else will. -
Date Time issue factory unlocked iphone 4s
I have a factory unlocked iphone 4s bought in Apple store US and currently in India. In Settings -> General -> Date & Time, I am setting "on" Set Automatically. After some time say 2-3 hours, the time automatically moves back by 30 minutes. In India there is no daylight savings. I am forced to set "off" for the "Set Automatically" option and then choose the timezone, time to keep it to the correct time. Anyone facing this issue ? By setting it to "Set Automatically" on, my understanding is it should sync with the mobile provider ("Airtel"). Is this a bug in iOS ?
i have same problem i also went to apple store but the can not find any problem i don't know what to do ?
i hop it's just a sofware problem -
Date Modified Date/Time Issues on Files Exported to Excel
Hello -
I am using Crystal Reports XI, Release 2 and Visual Studio 2005 Enterprise Edition for my ASP.NET application.
CrystalReports dll version : 11.5.3700.0
.NET Framework 2.0.50727
I use the CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument to export a report to Excel (ExportFormatType.Excel).
When you view the exported file in Excel 2007 (just open and close it, making no changes), the Date Modified date of the file changes to whatever date/time the file was last viewed. I have also noticed this same behavior when exporting to Excel from Crystal, using a vendor desktop application that is written in C++ and uses Crystal XI.
Does anyone else experience this issue and have a resolution?
Edited by: Meg Thickman on Feb 3, 2009 8:59 AMHi Meg,
Just to clarify did you mean viewing the PDF?:
"Why would/should the file system date change merely by viewing the report?"
Our exported files are not linked to the master RPT file.
As I indicated the XLS file is likely in an older format and Excel is detecting and updating something which the file system then detects a change and updates the date stamp. Or excel is writing something back to the file. Did you notice if the file size changed or possibly the byte hash?
This is not something we are going to be able change. For compatability reasons we cannot stop Excel from updating the file.
As a work around add the Data Date field to your reports and your auditors can use that as the reference. It will reflect the actual date and time the report was run. Or use Excel API's to update the file format once the report has been exported in your code. You may also want to check with Microsoft to see if it's an option in Excel not to update the format or possibly a registry key to disable the option.
Thanks again

Hi,
I have 2 date fields in my form, which should display the date in differnt format. (yyyy.mm.dd / dd-mm-yyyy)
To get the current date I use java script only
Formular1.p1.date_YYYYmmDD::initialize - (JavaScript, client)
var date = new Date();
this.rawValue = date.toLocaleDateString();
My first problem is (red): I get date in English, but I want it in a different language. As it was set in form settings
My second issue is: how can I format a date/time-filed (not a text field) in javascript with a specific pattern on init-event?
It seems my code in init-event overrides the pattern configuration of the date/time-field
Here is my form, if anyone want to check it:
https://acrobat.com/#d=zeOMyj9MhBdYbVWk8S1pHwHi,
I think both problems are the same, when setting a date/time field using the rawValue the format always has to be yyyy-mm-dd, if you use any other format the value is just treated as text and displayed without formatting.
var date = new Date();
this.rawValue = util.printd("yyyy-mm-dd", date);
You can also set the formattedValue if you have a date in the correct format.
var date = new Date();
var currentLocale = xfa.resolveNode("#localeSet.#locale").name;
var dateFormat = "date("+currentLocale+"){DD MMM, YYYY}"
this.formattedValue = util.printd(dateFormat, date, true)
This code assumes the display pattern is date{DD MMM, YYYY}
The date format specification is in the XFA Spec http://partners.adobe.com/public/developer/xml/index_arch.html

ASN Delivery Date/Time Issue
Hi
We are having issue wherein vendor navigates to Create ASN screen from DCM screen there he enters the ASN number, Shipping date and time, quantity and PO number etc. After this he presses the Check button for calculating delivery date and time. Here instead of adding number of hours mentioned in Means of Transport entry to Shipping time, system adds some fix number hours to MoT hours and calculates the delivery time.
But if vendor directly goes to Create ASN screen then system only considers number of hours mentioned in MoT entry. I want to know from where system is adding this fix number of hours while scheduling delivery date/Time.
ThanksHi ,
Thanks for the reply. But the issue is we are not passing any value to the Delivery Date Time Spot field (EKET-UZEIT). So by default when the BAPI_PO_CHANGE FM is called the value passed to this field is '000000'. It is that the system automatically changes the value to '00::0:1'. And it does so only if we execute the program without debugging the code. May be there might be a OSS note to update.
Thanks

TenFourFox issues with computer date/time
I had an interesting problem tonight which I fixed and can replicate whenever I feel like. On my old Powermac I run TenFourFox which is what I assume most are doing.
The battery in my Powermac needs to be replaced, but I almost never unplug the computer so I'm never worried about the computers time, as it is always right.
Tonight I had to unplug it and when I started it up I got the "wrong time" notice but I mostly ignorred it. Everything worked well and then I tried using TenFourFox...it was an utter disaster.
It was slow, unreponsive and overall unuseable to say the least. After a lot of thinking I set the time right and it worked again, as it had before.
So after this I set the time wrong again and sure enough, TenFourFox before unuseable.
Does anyone know if there are any known issues with TenFourFoxx in the department? Could someone else try this? (Just set your clock back a few days and try to open TenFourFox)
I'm curious if I've found an issue with the app because I know for a fact ti's not hardware issues.Running v 5.0 here, no problem in TFF changing the Time backwards, but Safari wouldn't work here until I cleared the Caches.
Some Servers are Date/Time critical & consider anything trying to connect reporting the Time off by more than a minute will refuse connections. -
Issue with time/date change.
Hello,
I'm having issues after changing the time/date zone settings, after I change the time zone (new setting), apperently it is correctly saved while exit (it prompts), but when I return to see the time/date settings once again, the timezone remains the same as the old setting.
I've tried by changing the source type: Blackberry, Network or Off but its the same.
What can i do to solve this? firmware update?
Thanks in advance,
Regards.Ok, I was at the Apple Genius Bar yesterday, and among other things to address my frequent beachball concerns, the Genius repaired disk permissions and reset network settings.
I checked the automagic time/date/time zone settings, and it worked perfectly.
I get home, and the MacBook thinks I'm back in Rexford, Idaho again, throwing off my time zone and time. Argh! -
PSE13 and Revel issues with the notes filed and date/time when syncing.
I extensively use the notes field in PSE13. For photos and videos this seems to get over-written when synced to Revel. For photos I can recover it by selecting 'Update Thumbnail' but during the next sync it over-writes it again.
I also have some files where the date / time are changed when syncing with Revel, particularly video files.
Any ideas?I also have this problem. The time of my iPod always changes back to the time and date of my last restore every time I sync it. And I know of others with this problem also. Perhaps it is possible that your iPod and mine have been "configured" in a way that causes this issue?

Date time formatting issues!!!!
guys,
I am trying to format date and time in the same variable.
heres my code...
<cfset dtimes = LSDateFormat(now(),'YYYY-MM-DD
h:mm:ss')>
the problem is, that it gives me the year month and day
correctly.... the hour correctly, but where the minute is supposed
to go, it gives me the month again (which makes sense cuz obviously
its the same characters)... and then seconds are ok too. how do i
fix it so it gives me the correct minutes? Thanks in advance!!!!
JEA limitation of CF functions there is not a single date &
time format
function you have to combine the two.
<cfset dtimes = LSDateFormat(now(),'YYYY-MM-DD') & ' '
LSTimeFormat(now(),'h:mm:ss')>

Hi,
I am currently integrating Salesforce with ERPLN data via Informatica Cloud ETL.
The client is on ERPLN 6.1, Fp3, and Oracle 10 database and AIX OS. Both the LN Application and Oracle database are on the same Timezone GMT +1.00.
We observed that for Sales/Service Order dates, on Application front and on actual oracle database the date shown are different. There is a difference of either 1 hour or 2 hours, based on the day light savings in Europe.
Because of this difference, there is invariable changes in dates as well. For eg. Service Order date shown on ERPLN Application is 01-Jan-2013 00.12.25, but for the same service order the date stored in oracle database is 31-Dec-2012 23.12.25. Difference of 1 hour results in change of date as well. The difference doesnt remain the same over period, since there is day light savings as well.
So when we pull this data via ODBC connectivity in to Staging Database through Informatica cloud, the date shown is that of Oracle Database. When we push this date in to Salesforce, we want the dates shown same as that of ERPLN application.
Has anyone encountered such problems before, if yes, than what is the resolution for the same? I understand we change the TimeZone of the ODBC user, but that isnt possible or it doesnt help.
Appreciate your quick reply. Thanks much.

Sure - that problem is encountered whenever an application accepts user input that includes date/time but no timezone information. The timezone is often the client timezone; that is, the timezone of the user entering the data. Users in two different timezones entering the same date/time at exactly the same moment may find the data value stored is an hour or two different depending on the timezone of the DB server.
Yep! What happens if you ask a friend in a different timezone to call you at 3 pm? Which timezone are you talking about? Theirs or yours? Without knowing that you can't guarantee that you get the call when you think you will.
So you already know the possible solutions: 1) you need to capture the timezone with the date/time or 2) you need to ALWAYS use the same timezone (e.g. the server timezone).
You will need to change the app to implement one of those solutions or change the back-end to determine the timezone of the user provding the data and convert it.
