N80 AT command to answer video call?

I would like to answer a video call using an AT command, but can't find anything to access the keyboard aside from the headset answer, which isn't picking up the video call. Turning on auto-answer for the headset doesn't work either.
Is there any method to auto-answer or AT command answer a video call?

  • When I try to answer a skype video call from someone, the call is ended before I can get it!  As soon as I click on the phone icon or the camera icon, it ends the call.  This only happens from one contact.

When I try to answer a skype video call on my Ipad (2nd generation), as soon as I click on the phone or video icon the call is ended.  This only happens with one of my contacts.  I can video call them without any problem!  But not in reverse.  Any suggestions???

You may have better luck posting this on the Skype forum to see if anyone else has had the problem.

  • Video calling - PC to Android, call answers then disconnects?

PC video call to Android cell video, it works, but then I drive away from the location of the originating video call and Skype disconnects the call.  I had created a second skype account in order to call it so I can check on my dog while I'm away. What's is wrong? Thx.

For anyone who has successfully received the platform exchange (windows to mac), how long did it take for adobe to complete the order, begininning from the date you requested the platform exchange to the date you actually received the software in the mail?
I'm currently in the midst of this process - I've contacted adobe and asked for the platform exchange, filled out the Letter of Destruction and uploaded it to adobe, then called adobe back to confirm they received the LOD, even paid the shipping charge.
All this took place a little over three weeks ago, and I still haven't received any word from adobe regarding my order. Every time I call, I get the same line: "I've put a rush order on your case, you will be receiving an email in 24-48 hours to confirm that your case has been processed and the software is being shipped." I've heard this same line 4 times now over the course of 3 weeks, and still have not received any email.
When I've asked to speak to a manager the last couple times, I get put on hold for 5-10 mins, then the call is disconnected.
Has anyone had this much difficulty with a simple platform-exchange?! I currently have CS4 web premium which I got as a gift, however it's for windows, and I have a mac.
Does adobe have the most horrendous customer service, or is my paperwork getting lost and I'm just unlucky?

  • Individualized auto answer on video calls

This is NOT a question. This is a suggestion!
I could find no other option for sending feedback/ suggestios to Skype. Further there is definitely a very good reason for making this suggestion. My family all live overseas in the USA. Although I prefer to have my skype set on "auto answer" for my children ...I would not like it set this way for "everyone. This is a major privacy issue for me ...especially since my husband here is dying of cancer and my eldest daughter in the USA just had open heart surgery. I could give you a ton of reason why myself ...and others ...would prefer for the "auto answer" feature was an individualized feature. We should be able to choose/ list those people that we wish our skype to "automatically answer" especially on video calls ...or at least list those that we do not wish to include.
Because I have been a programmer for almost 3 decades ...I know that this is possible ... it would be a relatively easy subroutine in the hands of any programmer worth their salt!
    So. How about it people?!

Edit: i'm referring to the initial suggestion btw
please please PLEASE follow this suggestion! i also agree that there should be a customizable list as to whose calls will be automatically answered. i don't want to automatically answer every incoming call that i have, even if it's specified as 'contact's only'. and relying on third party programs to do this for you just proves that the programmers of skype may be too inept, indifferent, or just lazy to add such a small addition. PLEASE UPDATE

  • Polycom 7000 video call to 7960

I have configured our call manager 4.1(3) and 3745 router to place calls form
a 7960 phone to a polycom 7000 video conf unit using h.323 gateway and gatekeeper on our 3745 router.
the call connects fine and even shows the user name on the polycom screen.
To accomplish this i created a h.323 device in the call manager pointing to the polycom 7000.
the gateway and all video endpoints and call managers are registered to the gateway.
all calls are using the gatekeeper in and out of the public network.
I have dial peers for the h.323 to and from public network for my call manager controlled phones and my PRI circuits.
All of our circuits and phones have been controlled via MGC so devloping this has been a real learning experence.
    Problem
I would like to place a call from the polycom (h.232 id bloomfield7000 e.164 4337580) to a 7960 or the public network.
seems i would need some dial peers but not sure where to go.
any help finding examples to look at would be great
    thanks
    Jeff

    Paul,
I removed the h.323 phones and went with the h225 trunk and that worked great. i can call both ways now.
    another question
i have an mcu tied to a pri to a 3745.
the 3745 also has a pri to SBC.
i can place a video or voice call from the MCU back to its self through it's PRI.
i can place a voice call from MCU through PRI to 3745 through the SBC Pri.
But i can not place a video call through the SBC pri.
If i place the mcu directly on the SBC pri i can make video calls. From the debug i see the call as unrestricted digital.
Not sure what needs to be done to allow video to pass from pri to pri out to the public network.
some setting or command on the dial peer perhaps ?
    Thanks
    Jeff

  • Create a Skype Video Call button on the desktop in Snow Leopard

    Hi There,
I'm having trouble working out how to create a script that will allow my 70+ year old mother in law make a video call in Skype from a button on the desktop.
I found a discussion from 2007 on the forums but the steps don't seem to apply to the Snow Leopard version of Automator.
Any suggestions would be most welcome.
    Cheers

OK, have done some digging around and have come up with an Automator workflow that will not only start a video chat, but will speak to my mother in law so that during pauses (like when Skype starts up) she knows what's going on.
There is practically no info online about how to do this so these instructions are for my reference just incase I forget - but others may find it useful.
It looks like a lot of work but in reality it only took me 5mins to put together (I promise) and just makes it easier for people who have limited computer experience to call you.
This works in both Leopard and Snow Leopard and may work in older versions too.
    1. Open Automator
    Open Automator at: /Applications/Automator
The Automator starting point window will appear
If you're using Leopard, choose "Custom" and and click the "Choose" button in the bottom right
If you're using Snow Leopard, choose "Workflow" and click the "Choose" button in the bottom right
Now you will have a blank workflow document open
    2. Create the Automator workflow
In the Workflow document window, ensure the "Library" icon in the first list on the far left is selected so all variables are available
Just above the lists you'll see a little search box, type "hide" into it
The list will now show the "Hide All Applications" variable
Click and drag the variable from the list and drop it into the main workflow section on the right
Type "launch" into the search box and drag the "Launch Application" variable onto the workflow so it is under "Hide All Applications"
Select "Skype" from the application drop-down menu
Type "get text" into the search box and drag "Get Specified Text" into the workflow so it's under "Launch Application"
Type "Now starting Skype, please wait a few moments." into the text box
Type "speak" in the search box and drag "Speak Text" into the workflow under "Get Specified Text"
Leave the voice on the default text of "Alex" - he's the easiest to understand bar far
Type "pause" into the search box and drag "Pause" into the workflow under "Speak Text"
Set it for 5 seconds. This will allow Skype time to sign-in. Depending on your connection speed, you may need to make it longer
Shift click on the previous "Get Specified Text" & "Speak Text" variables in the workflow area
Both should now have blue borders around them
Hold down the option key and drag both items to duplicate them and drop them under the "Pause" variable
Now you should have a copy of the "Get Specified Text" & "Speak Text" variables under the "Pause" variable
If not, just manually add both items again by searching and dragging the variables into the workflow pane one by one as per above
Replace the text in the new "Get Specified Text" box to: "Now checking to see if <name> is online"
Where <name> is the person you would like to contact and removing the - I just used the first name
Option drag the previous "Pause" variable above and drag it so it's under the last "Speak Text" variable
Leave it at 5 seconds. Again, you may need to allow more time depending on your connection speed
Type "run applescript" into the search box and drag "Run Applescript" so it's under the last "Pause" variable
Now you should have an AppleScript window that will show some placeholder AppleScript
    3. Inserting the AppleScript
Select and delete the placeholder AppleScript
Copy the following script and paste it into the AppleScript box
    SkypeCall("<skypeUserName>")
    on SkypeCall(login)
set AppleScript's text item delimiters to " "
    tell application "Skype"
set foo to send command "GET USER " & login & " ONLINESTATUS" script name "MyScript"
    set UserStatus to my GetPart(foo, 4, " ")
    if UserStatus is "ONLINE" then
say "<skypeUserName> is online, calling her now."
send command "CALL " & login script name "MyScript"
    else
say "<skypeUserName> is not online at the moment. Maybe try again later."
    end if
    end tell
    end SkypeCall
    on GetPart(s, p, d)
set theList to every text item of s
    return (item p of theList)
    end GetPart
    4. Insert the Skype username of the person you would like to call into the script
In the AppleScript box, locate ("<skypeUserName>") on the first line
Change <skypeUserName> to the username of the person you would like to call removing the
e.g. if the Skype username is johnbrown2, the first line of the script should look like:
    SkypeCall("johnbrown2")
Do this in the two other places further down the script - remember to remove the when doing so
These other two ares in the script tell the caller if the person is online or not
    5. Making the workflow a button on the desktop
In Automator, choose >File >Save As
Give your workflow a name like "Call John"
Select "Application" from the "File Format" drop-down list
    Save it to your desktop
NOTE: If you need to edit the workflow, you'll have to open it from Automater using >File >Open as double clicking it from the desktop will now run the workflow and call the person.
    6. Turning on Speech
Because the older generation expect this to work like a telephone (and work instantly), I turned on Speech so the script tells them what is going on during the pauses in the script.
Go to "System Preferences" from the Apple menu top left
    Click the "Speech" icon
Click the "Speech Recognition" tab/button at the top if it isn't already selected
    Click the "On" radio button
If this is the first time using Speech, you'll get a window asking you to enable access for assistive devices
There should be a button to take you to the appropriate preference pane
If not, just go to the "Universal Access" pane in System Preferences
Once there (either way) check the "Enable access for assistive devices" box bottom left
Back in the "Speech" preference pane", under the On/Off radio buttons, click the "Commands" tab/button
Turn off all the check boxes except "Application Specific Items"
    Close System Preferences
NOTE: Obviously if you use text to speech normally, leave these last settings alone and just ensure "Application Specific Items" is on (It's on by default normally).
    7. Hiding the Speech Microphone icon
If you've done everything correctly, you will now have a big round microphone icon showing that can't be hidden
I dragged mine to the bottom left corner and then further so all you can see is a little bit of the top right corner
If anyone has a better way of disabling or hiding this big icon, sing out!
    8. Running the workflow and making a call
Now double click your icon and the workflow will run. The script will check to see if the Skype user is online, if they're not, the script will tell them and stop running.
If they are online, the worflow will start a video chat as long as you have "Start my video automatically" selected in your Skype preferences under "Video"
Special thanks to SIMO HUOPIO ESPOO in Finland for the script I found on his blog here: http://huopio.fi/simo/blog/2009/03/learnin...ling-skype.html
If you don't want the workflow to talk, don't turn on Speech in steps 6 & 7...

    Hi,
Please try to clear all preferences for Mac Lync.
You can do as following steps in the link:
    http://www.unicom.iu.edu/kb.php?docid=bave :
    1.  Quit Lync for Mac.
2..In your Home folder, open the Library folder. Note that Mac OS X 10.7 and later hides your Library folder. To access it:
           1. Press Command-Shift-g, or from the Go menu, select Go to Folder... .
           2. In the Go to Folder drop-down window, enter ~/Library, and click Go.
    3.  Remove the following files from your Library folder:
              /Users/username/Library/Preferences/com.microsoft.Lync.plist
              /Users/username/Library/Preferences/ByHost/MicrosoftLyncRegistrationDB.xxxx.plist
/Users/username/Library/Logs/Microsoft-Lync-x.log (This file is present only if you turned on Lync Logging.)
              /Users/username/Library/Logs/Microsoft-Lync.log
    4.  In your Documents folder, remove the following:
              /Users/username/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Microsoft Lync Data
    5.  Optionally, also remove Microsoft Lync History:
              Users/username/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Microsoft Lync History
Note: This optional step will delete saved conversations. For Mac users, the conversation history is not saved to the Exchange account, but instead is saved locally
    to the Mac.
    6.  Open Keychain Access from the /Applications/Utilities folder:
         1. Delete any keychains on the left that look like the following, where emailaddress is your email address:
    OC__KeyContainer__emailaddress
         2. In your Login keychain, delete the following, where emailaddress is your email address:
    emailaddress.cer
    7.  In the /Users/username/Library/Keychains folder, delete all files that look like the following, where emailaddress is your email address:
    OC__KeyContainer__emailaddress

  • Video Calls Inverted

Hi, I am using American Pumpkins Tablet with Android 4.4.2 and having latest version of Skype installed. When I do a video call through Skype, my Front Camera image is inverted and its really irritating. How can I fix this?

I agree with Jens - it's easy to check, here is the command (on Windows) to check for H.323 lookup services:
    nslookup -querytype=srv _h323ls._udp.domain.xx
Try that replacing domain.xx with whatever you are using. If you try that with cisco.com you'll get a lot in your response, my guess is on your domain you'll get nothing.
The other possibility is whatever you are calling from doesn't have DNS configured correctly so it has no way to query a DNS server to resolve the domain. It's one or the other (or both).

  • Video calls not working

"Not enough storage is available to process this command" comes up when I try video calling. Does anyone know how I can correct this? The Help and Tool info does not say anything about this.

  • Video Call between 2 IP Network

    Hello,
I want to establish Video Calls between 2 independant IP Telephony network, one with a CUCM 6.1, amd the other one with A Call manager system. I have a Cisco 2811 on the Call Manager side, who have a IP Public adress.
The Voice Call is working with a H323 Trunk between the Call Manager Express, who have a public Ip adress too, and the Cisco 2811.
The Video Call is not working. I Have put the IOS to configure this 2811 as a Border Element (CUBE), put I don't have any licenses?
Is it necessary to have this licenses to function the Video Calls?
Is there some special commands to perform the video call?
Thanks in advance for your help?

  • If the DroidX had a front camera how easy would it be to video call with Skype or Fringe?

Apparently EVO with Sprint you can video conference with Fringe but is this something that has to been done through WIFI?  I was ready to upgrade to the DroidX but I am wondering if I should hold off for the front camera.  I love using Skype video and it would be amazing to have this feature on the phone if it is an easy thing to do.
It would be greatly appreciated if someone is knowledgable about this information.
    Thank you!

Since that is a hypothetical situation (Droid X front camera), there is no real way to even guess how the carrier or manufacture would implement this feature because if you look at how other devices use this feature you notice that they are not implementing this feature the same way.  Also in regards to the EVO video calls is across the 4G network but from what I have read they have been experiencing a lot of connection issues do to the network being over whelmed (which isnt a surprise)...

I'm having trouble getting my iPhone to make video calls.  I can make video calls via J4W with the same CUCM/IM-P cluster, and my iPhone Jabber client is having no problem getting IMs, presence information, or making standard voice calls, but when I go to "Settings - Audio and Video", it simply has a message that says "Video is currently unavailable"
