Video calling - PC to Android, call answers then disconnects?

PC video call to Android cell video, it works, but then I drive away from the location of the originating video call and Skype disconnects the call.  I had created a second skype account in order to call it so I can check on my dog while I'm away. What's is wrong? Thx.

For anyone who has successfully received the platform exchange (windows to mac), how long did it take for adobe to complete the order, begininning from the date you requested the platform exchange to the date you actually received the software in the mail?
I'm currently in the midst of this process - I've contacted adobe and asked for the platform exchange, filled out the Letter of Destruction and uploaded it to adobe, then called adobe back to confirm they received the LOD, even paid the shipping charge.
All this took place a little over three weeks ago, and I still haven't received any word from adobe regarding my order. Every time I call, I get the same line: "I've put a rush order on your case, you will be receiving an email in 24-48 hours to confirm that your case has been processed and the software is being shipped." I've heard this same line 4 times now over the course of 3 weeks, and still have not received any email.
When I've asked to speak to a manager the last couple times, I get put on hold for 5-10 mins, then the call is disconnected.
Has anyone had this much difficulty with a simple platform-exchange?! I currently have CS4 web premium which I got as a gift, however it's for windows, and I have a mac.
Does adobe have the most horrendous customer service, or is my paperwork getting lost and I'm just unlucky?

    Hey Shib,
    For CUPC Desk Phone Troubleshooting, assuming both end points are Personal Communicator Clients, follow the below steps:
    1)  CAST Issue
    For both End Points, make sure that the CAST shows connected under CUPC -> Help -> Show Server Health -> Desk Phone Video Section
    The phone must be connected to the computer on which Cisco Unified Personal Communicator is running by Ethernet cable.
    2) Firmware Issue
    If the end users are controlling 79xx, make sure that the firmware is 9.2(3) or higher. If you are running SCCP9-2-1S, then you will run in the Defect: CSCtq48538    Phone does not send CallStateMessage through CAST connection to PC and have to upgrade the firmware to 9.2(3)
    3) Roles and Permissions
    Besides the Standard CTI Enabled and Standard CCM End User, if the end users are controlling 99xx or 88xx, then make sure they also have these additional Roles and Permissions
    Standard CTI Allow Control of Phones supporting Connected Xfer and conf
    Standard CTI Allow Control of Phones supporting Rollover Mode
    4) Video Enabled
    This setting should be enabled by default, however, make sure that under the Device Configuration Page (CCM Admin -> Device -> Phone -> Affected User's Device
    The PC Port and Video Capabilities fields must be enabled for the phone in Cisco Unified Communications Manager.
    Now if after verifying all of the above configuration the video call fails then I suggest testing CUPC Soft Phone Video by changing to Soft Phone Mode on both the End Points (You can only change to soft phone mode, if you have the Client Services Framework Device deployed for the end users). If that fails as well, I suggest to engage Cisco Tac for further troubleshooting as we would then need to collect the following:
    Clean Detailed PRT from CUPC on both End Points
    Detailed CCM and CTI Traces from Call Manager
    Calling and Called Party Info

    OK. I HAVE TRYING TO DO VIDEO CALLING WITH THE E5 WITH NO SUCCESS. I HAVE BEEN TOLD I CAN DO IT
    AS LONG AS THE PHONE/NETWORK ARE COMPATIBLE... I HAVE BEEN LOOKING AT FRING AND SKYPE AND
    NIMBUZZ BUT, I REALLY DON'T KNOW IF HAVE TO  DOWNLOAD THESE APPS TO MAKE VIDEO CALLS. CAN
    SOMEONE PLEASE GIVE ME THE INFO I NEED TO DO THIS. I'M IN AMERICA AND I HAVE 3G WITH AT&T.

    Understood about the caps... I don't understand why some people say they can make video calls and,
    then there are some that say the E5 can not...
    Can someone tell me why my E5 asks whether I want to make a voice call or a video call (from my contacts list)?

    that Skype has its good days and bad. for the past couple of days, i have been
    trying to call my in-laws so they can chat with their Grandkids. we are both
    online within Skype, when I click to make the video call, it makes the normal
    sound like it does when you first hit video call, and then nothing.
    there is no ringing (on either side) and no indication that the
    other person is attempting to contact you. I have tried calling my in-laws
    multiple times and she has tried the same, no luck either way!
    I also attempted to call the Skype automated test lady, and the
    same thing happens.
    I have restarted my computer multiple times, however, I have not
    tried uninstalling and reinstalling Skype. I am pretty sure I have one of the
    newer updates to Skype.
    any other suggestions would be most helpful!

  • Skype video call freezes on android v4.4.4

    Hi,
    I just Updated my Motorola MotoX to Android version 4.4.4 and now I can't make video calls. Every time I turn my camera on, my Skype freezes and then crashes after like 5 seconds. 
    My Skype version is 5.0.0.51733. 
    Does anybody else have this issue?

    I too have the same problem on Moto G Google play edition. Any resolutions yet?
    I can see video correctly on Moto G, but my video (viewed by partner) freezes.
    BTW, I also discovered that when the reciever on the other side is recieving 4:3 video of me (aspect ratio) then it freezes after 5 seconds, whereas, when my phone is sending 16:9 ratio video, it works properly. Partner is a windows PC (desktop client) 16:9 happened only once. I do not find any setting in Skype Android app to select transmitted video ratio(apart from HQ/LQ setting).

    Android/mobile devices can create some odd resolutions.  I don't know what camera you have but I'm aware of some camera drivers that bluescreen when they can't render some odd resolutions.  A solution to that problem would be to use a different or updated set of camera drivers. You can try to upgrade your camera drivers to the generic Microsoft "USB Video Device" drivers that come with the OS.  Afterward see if the problem is resolved.

    I have installed skype in my android from https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.skype.raider&hl=en , but I have tried many time to call to desktop computer (skype installed) , but only voice call was possible and I have not seen any video call option (using wifi connection). Similarly I tried from computer to android using video call option, but no video invoked in my android.
    Can anybody help me to get the video call from android to computer and vice versa.

    i need this too. but no simple solution. I ended up using calling from ipad to mac(using ecamm) or windows(using supertintin skype recorder). It is possible. you can mirrroring your ipad to a Apple TV server simulator on Mac or Windows. And capturing screen there. Yes, it is too complicated. So the only option is using mac or PC and run a skype recorder there.

    Since other millions of people updated and do not have that problem - it means one of two.
    1.Your friends lied to you and do not have that problem and in that case only your installation of ios7 got corrupted and you need to restore your phone.
    2.Your friends didn't lie to you and all 4 of you need to restore phones (that way reinstalling ios 7 properly)
    here are instructions for restore and you may have to backup before restore.

    Same happens when they call me.
    Data over the phone - to Vodaphone - is fine. I can browse. With or without wifi.
    My speaker and mic work fine.

    I think the fault just developed out of the blue. I called somebody left the phone on the table downstairs the person tried to call me back 11 times and I never heard them. When I tried to call later in the day the phone had an error.
    When try to phone my iPhone from the land line the ring tone is perfect but I get the same problem with my iphone just echoing my voice and nothing else - and the landline having loud static and nothing else.
