N91 crashes at bluetooth sync

Hello,
I have a N91-8Gb which I want to synchronize with my PC (Vista, phone software, PCSuite at newest version). When I use USB I have no problems, however today I tried to use Bluetooth. The synchronization starts but it stops after a certain amount of data (e.g. after 220 contacts, or 150 calender entries). "Stop" means: the phone crashes (no reaction on buttons, backlight stays on, I have to remove the battery). The reason can't be the phone memory 'cause I only send the data to the PC.
I expect that the amount of sent data is to large, but what can i do?

Not had that precise problem, but a work around I used for similar problems was to only sync one type of data at a time, eg: first sync the calendar, then do a separate sync for contacts, then a separate sync for notes.
Bit of a pain, but it did help .. for a while. In the end, I had to do a factory reset on the phone which solved all the problems - except for having to restore everything, of course.

Could you please try this?
1. Uninstall Ovi Suite, PC Connectivity solution and Nokia Connectivity cable drivers from Add/remove program if anything is there.
2. Delete the files from here If anything is there
C:\Documents and Settings\User\Application Data\Nokia\Ovi Suite
C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Application Data\Nokia
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\OviInstallerCache
3. Please search and download MSI clean up utility from microsoft website
Once installed please select the programs related to Nokia and click remove.
Restart Computer.
Then download from microsoft website and install Windows Installer, so that the installer is upto date.
4. Restart the PC
5. Download and Install latest OviSuite http://europe.nokia.com/support/download-software/nokia-ovi-suite
6. Connect the device and try to sync

How can I bluetooth sync without using iCal

Hi, I have a Macbook Pro with Bluetooth, and a Palm Tungsten e2. I would really like to sync using bluetooth, but after I followed all the advice on the Mac support page (which configured my iSync), to my dismay I discovered I was syncing with iCal, not my Palm desktop. For several reasons I prefer Palm desktop to to iCal, so my question is:
Can I do a bluetooth sync, from my Palm to my Mac, and have it work with Palm desktop, rather than iCal and it's associated Address book?
BTW, I found all my disabled conduits and returned them to my original Palm folder, and I switched my prefs back to good ol' USB, and everything seems back to normal.
One day iCal might impress me enough to switch over, but I haven't seen the magic yet.

Certainly. I presume that you are synchronizing now via USB to the Palm Desktop?
As long as you have already paired your organizer with your computer, you are ready to initiate Bluetooth synchronization, though you might want to double check the settings in the HotSync Manager on both the organizer and the computer to insure that the proper software 'mechanism' is enabled.
Be sure that the iSync Palm Conduit—which appears in the HotSync Manager as iSync Conduit and in the Finder as simply Apple—is not active.

If anyone else is looking for a solution to this same problem, I was able to get it working looking through several older discussions.
The solution was to use the password that I had on my iTunes account the very first time I set up the iPhone about a year ago. I changed my iTunes password about 10 months ago; but apparently, the backups continue to use the password that existed when the phone was first set up.
A couple of troubling things with this are that 1) I didn't apply a password when I did the backup this afternoon so I don't understand why it was required when I did the restore a few hours later. and 2) it makes zero sense why iTunes would not be smart enough to use the current accout password when requiring the password to restore from a backup made with no password.
I thought iTunes and Apple were smarter than that. With so many posts stating exactly the same problem, it is clear that this is bug in the software.

They may have barely fixed the audio/video sync issues on bluetooth headphones while creating another problem like the one you mentioned, but the sync problem still remains with the audio system in vehicles. I do not know if others are having the same issue with their car stereos but I am pretty sure they do because my car, being a 2013 model, has the audio delay during bluetooth playback. Also, since iOS7 update, even playing via USB connection has a slight delay now. Delay in USB is tolerable(only fraction of a second) but delay in bluetooth(about 2 seconds)is just too frustrating.

My question is regarding whether built in support for this phone, the L7 SLVR has been added into 10.4.7, or is it still left out. I tried to find a list for supported bluetooth sync phones, but the apple list I came accross was unclear as to if it applied to usb or blue tooth.

I have a V3i with the exact same firmware, and prior to the 10.4.7 update could only pair my phone via bluetooth but not use any services. Since the update I can sync, file transfer and connect to the internet all via bluetooth. Seems someone has sorted something out somewhere. Hope this helps.

I tried the link and deleted the duplicate firewall exceptions but it did not seem to help. Sometimes I can connect via bluetooth but I keep having to start and stop DM 6 until it will sync. What is interesting is that Blackberry Device Manager shows that it IS connected and my phone is blinking the light showing that it is connected to the computer. It seems as though DM 6 has isssues establishing a connection. My current device software version is 4.5.0.175. As I said before there was no problem with DM 4.5. I wonder if I should have deleted that version before installing DM 6 over it. I don't think that's the problem since Device manager easily connects with my phone............Greg

Bluetooth Sync with Microsoft Vista Bluetooth Laptop

I am able to pair my BB Pearl with my Vista laptop but it does not sync because Windows says I need an updated driver for the Pearl. I do not see anywhere on the BB site where I can get a new piece of software for the Pearl so that I can bluetooth sync it with my laptop using BB Desktop Manager software.

Go to Setup Bluetooth -> Options -> look at the items listed under Service. Can you see something like Desktop Connectivity. If yes only then you will be able to sync your device wirelessly with your desktop.
If you do not find that option then BES users contact your respective BES admin...BIS users contact with your carrier.

The dreaded ITunes 7.0.2 crashes before completing sync

Any idea anyone why iTunes crashes just before Sync is complete, usually during Contacts download or checking for Gapless plasyback but could be anything? When is iTunes 7 going to get stable?!

I cannot answer your question, I don't remember iTunes ever crashing since version 4.x (though I had my share of other apps giving trouble).
When iTunes crashed, did it offer to produce a crash report to be sent to Apple? Did this happen in previous versions, and do you have other apps randomly crashing? Maybe you've got a funky hardware problem, bad RAM and overheating can cause inexplicable and hard to reproduce crashes.
Is there anything about iTunes in ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter ? If yes it may be worth examining or sending to Apple.

Bluetooth sync with Windows 7 for Treo 650

When I hotsync the connection bar shows up on both my Treo 650 and on the PC; both report "successful sync". But the information is not flowing between the two. I've tried a test Contact and test Calendar event going from Treo to PC and then PC to Treo and neither direction works despite the "successful sync" report. What tweaking do I need to do for a fix?

I saw contact and notes bluetooth sync options for my MacBook in Settings!

I went under the advanced options for my MacBook, which was paired to the iPhone, in order to 'forget' the device so as to reinitiate a pairing as i had freshly installed Snow Leopard. This time I saw some extra options for the device. One of them was Contacts sync. There was some 'advanced' options too but I decided to explore them after repairing the device so i selected 'forget this device'. After repairing they never reappeared!
PS: my iphone 3g is running iOS4.1 and is not jail broken.

WiFi or Bluetooth syncing is not supported by the iPhone, so it doesn't really matter if these options appear or not as you wouldn't be able to do so anyway.

The latest update allows for bluetooth syncing to a bluetooth key board. Why can't I sync my Macbook Pro or iPhone 5 and use them as a keyboard? I just bought a new 160GB after my 120GB crashed. After syncing my new iPod with my music in iTunes, I'm noticing the music isn't as clear or bassy as it was on my old iPod. The EQ is off on the new one just as it was on the old iPod so that isn't the issue. Anyone have any ideas why I'm having this problem?

Are you comparing it off earphones, iPod issued earplugs or Hifi Stereo deck?
The new 160GB iPod Classic, have been reported to have poorer audio quality than earlier 5th Gen models. Even using EQ Bass booster make it much worse, but not too sure about your 120GB model,
My thoughts - it was due to the Audio chip replacement, but then your 120GB Audio chip would be about the same as the 160GB 6th Gen, but maybe the firmware 1.1.2 codec handling was better. Your 160GB firmware would be 2.0.4

Many people are finding their Iphone 4S drops connection with their VW (Passat etc) integrated bluetooth hands free system after working fine for 5, 10, 20 minutes. The only way to reconnect is to switch the car off or turn the Iphone bluetooth off & back on.
This is a dangerous fault and it appears that both Apple & VW have no solution (or are ignoring as they have already sold you a phone & a car).
