Name 'constraints' for a column in view

How could we create a view with column name 'constraints' ? please help me .

It's a bad idea to use a reserved word as a column name
  1* select * from v$reserved_words where keyword like 'CONSTRAINT%'
SQL> /
KEYWORD                            LENGTH R R R R D
CONSTRAINT                             10 N N N N N
CONSTRAINTS                            11 N N N N Y
SQL> desc v$reserved_words;

LENGTH                                             NUMBER
RESERVED                                           VARCHAR2(1)

RES_ATTR                                           VARCHAR2(1)
RES_SEMI                                           VARCHAR2(1)
DUPLICATE                                          VARCHAR2(1)but the view at least compiles

  • Show name field for two columns Fact Table joing by one Dimension

    Hi all,
    My question is about physical joins in Oracle BI EE.
    Task is:
    In a relational fact table "star" there is two columns Entity 1, Entity 2 and a table dimension Entity witch have two filds: ID and NAME. By loadind data fact table is filled with id for Entity 1 and Entity 2.
    In a report made in Answers i need to show ID_Entity_1 NAME_Entity_1 ID_Entity_2 NAME_Entity_2
    Question is: how to do physical join between two columns fact table and one dimension table entity so, that i can show name field in a report for both columns Entity 1, Entity 2.

    You must Create an alias in the physical layer of your table dimEnsion and use it as a second dimension table.

  • Finding source database table/column name for a column in a view

    Hi i need to be able to identify the original database table/column name for a column in a view.
    e.g. say i have a view like this
    create v1 as select a.name fname, b.name bname, c.name cname,......
    from u1.names a, u2.names b. u3.names c
    where .....
    Now I want to find out that the database table/column name for the fname, bname and cname columns in the view v1, which in this instance is u1.name.name, u2.names.name, u3.names.name.
    But i need to be able to do it for any view. Short of parsing the SQL is there an easy way of doing this?
    Now obviusly I can't do this for virtual columns but I will know my column is not virtual as it has an index on it.

    But i need to be able to do it for any view. Short of
    parsing the SQL is there an easy way of doing this?No, parsing the SQL is the only way. Good luck it is not something I would want to attempt.

  • How to use simple types for table column names ?

    Hi,
    can any one tell how to to use simple types for table column names?
    It is required in internationalizing of webdynpro applications.
    Regards,
    Rajesh

    Hi,
    1: define required column names in <SimpleType>
    2:use the following code to get those values
    3:bind 'text' property of Column headers to context attributes
    4:take a context attribute 'Value' as type of <SimpleType>
    5:set these values to context attributes
    IWDAttributeInfo objAttrInfo=wdContext.getNodeInfo().getAttribute(IPrivate<ViewName>View.IContextElement.VALUE);
    ISimpleTypeModifiable simple=objAttrInfo.getModifiableSimpleType();
    Map m=simple.getEnumerationTexts();
    Collection c=m.values();
    Iterator it=c.iterator();
    if(it.hasNext())
    wdContext.currentContextElement.set<att1>(it.next().toString);
    if(it.hasNext())
    wdContext.currentContextElement.set<att2>(it.next().toString);
    if(it.hasNext())
    wdContext.currentContextElement.set<att3>(it.next().toString);

    Hi Balaiji,
    proceed as follows:
    Create a structure in the dictionary called ZSTRU_USR02_F
      with  field1 type int4
              field3 type int4
              field3 type int4
    Create a table type in the dictionary:
    zusr02  line type ZSTRU_USR02_F.
    Create a structure in the dictionary:
    ZSTRU_USR02
      with tab1  type zusr02
      and tab2  type zusr02
    Create a table type in the dictionary:
    zttusr02 line type ZSTRU_USR02
    Create a controller (table.do) in a BSP-application
    Add the controller class to this controller.
    Add a attribute (table) instance public type zttusr02
    redefine method do_request, add the following coding:
      FIELD-SYMBOLS: <fs_tab> LIKE LINE OF table,
                     <fs_row> TYPE zstru_usr02_f.
      DATA: lirv_view TYPE REF TO if_bsp_page,
            lv_int    TYPE i.
    * Dispatch Input for event handling
      dispatch_input( ).
    * Navigation requested during Event handling?
      IF is_navigation_requested( ) IS NOT INITIAL.
        RETURN.
      ENDIF.
    * get some data into the table.
      INSERT INITIAL LINE INTO TABLE table ASSIGNING <fs_tab>.
      DO 3 TIMES.
        INSERT INITIAL LINE INTO TABLE <fs_tab>-tab1 ASSIGNING <fs_row>.
        ADD 1 TO lv_int.
        <fs_row>-field1 = lv_int.
        ADD 1 TO lv_int.
        <fs_row>-field2 = lv_int.
        ADD 1 TO lv_int.
        <fs_row>-field3 = lv_int.
      ENDDO.
      DO 3 TIMES.
        INSERT INITIAL LINE INTO TABLE <fs_tab>-tab2 ASSIGNING <fs_row>.
        ADD 1 TO lv_int.
        <fs_row>-field1 = lv_int.
        ADD 1 TO lv_int.
        <fs_row>-field2 = lv_int.
        ADD 1 TO lv_int.
        <fs_row>-field3 = lv_int.
      ENDDO.
    * Create the view
      lirv_view ?= create_view( view_name = 'table.htm' ).
    * Hand over the data
      lirv_view->set_attribute( name = 'table' value = table ).
    * Call the view
      call_view( lirv_view ).
    Create a view called table.htm. Add your controller class as controller class for the view and add the attribute table type zttusr02.
    Add the following to the layout:
    <%@page language="abap"%>
    <%@extension name="htmlb" prefix="htmlb"%>
    <htmlb:content design="design2003">
      <htmlb:page title = " ">
        <htmlb:form>
    <htmlb:tableView id             = "tableToDisplay"
                     table          = "<%=table%>"
                     emptyTableText = "No Data"
                     iterator       = "<%=controller%>"
                     footerVisible  = "FALSE"
                     encode         = "TRUE"
                     width          = "100%"/>
        </htmlb:form>
      </htmlb:page>
    </htmlb:content>
    Go back to your controller class. Add the interface IF_HTMLB_TABLEVIEW_ITERATOR
    Implement the method IF_HTMLB_TABLEVIEW_ITERATOR~GET_COLUMN_DEFINITIONS
      DATA: lwa_column  LIKE LINE OF p_column_definitions.
    * Column 1
      CLEAR lwa_column.
      lwa_column-columnname          = 'TAB1'.
      lwa_column-title               = 'Column 1'.
      lwa_column-tooltipheader       = 'Tooltip Column 1'.
      lwa_column-width               = '50%'.
      lwa_column-wrapping            = 'FALSE'.
      lwa_column-horizontalalignment = 'LEFT'.
      lwa_column-verticalalignment   = 'MIDDLE'.
      APPEND lwa_column TO p_column_definitions.
    * Column 1
      CLEAR lwa_column.
      lwa_column-columnname          = 'TAB2'.
      lwa_column-title               = 'Column 2'.
      lwa_column-tooltipheader       = 'Tooltip Column 2'.
      lwa_column-width               = '50%'.
      lwa_column-wrapping            = 'FALSE'.
      lwa_column-horizontalalignment = 'LEFT'.
      lwa_column-verticalalignment   = 'MIDDLE'.
      APPEND lwa_column TO p_column_definitions.
    Implement the method IF_HTMLB_TABLEVIEW_ITERATOR~RENDER_CELL_START and add:
      DATA: lr_tview   TYPE REF TO cl_htmlb_tableview.
      FIELD-SYMBOLS: <fs_row> LIKE LINE OF table.
      ASSIGN p_row_data_ref->* TO <fs_row>.
      CASE p_column_key.
        WHEN 'TAB1'.
          CREATE OBJECT lr_tview.
          lr_tview->id = p_cell_id.
          GET REFERENCE OF <fs_row>-tab1 INTO lr_tview->table.
          lr_tview->footervisible = ''.
          lr_tview->width = '100%'.
          p_replacement_bee = lr_tview.
        WHEN 'TAB2'.
          CREATE OBJECT lr_tview.
          lr_tview->id = p_cell_id.
          GET REFERENCE OF <fs_row>-tab2 INTO lr_tview->table.
          lr_tview->footervisible = ''.
          lr_tview->width = '100%'.
          p_replacement_bee = lr_tview.
      ENDCASE.
    With this you get a table in a table. Now if you create a second iterator you'll be able to adjust the apperance of the inner table, as well as you can add column headers.
    Hope that helps.
    Best Regards
    Michael

  • How to create  index for a column of a view

    Hi,
    I have created view for a table and then i am trying to create index for a column of that view. i am using the query "CREATE INDEX index_name ON view_name (col)". but Mysql is showing error like "view_name is not a base table".
    How can i do that......

    As mentioned this is a java forum not a mysql forum, but as I know the answer - you can't create an index directly on a view in mysql.

  • "I would like to know how to set the default view for the columns. Somewhere I read it could be done in by music icon under Library.  Can't find it.  Thanks

    "I would like to know how to set the default view for the columns that are shown in iTunes. Every time I open it, I have to either go to the options, or right-click to get the pop-up options, and delete "rating" and add "composer." I'd really like to just do it once and be done with it."  Somewhere I read you could do this by clicking on the Music icon under LIBRARY then arramge the columns.  Trouble is, I can't find a Musi Folder or icon in my user library.
    Any help would be appreiated.  OSX 10.9.2  iTunes version 11.1.5  Thanks!!! CW!

    From the iTunes menu bar try View>Show View Options.  Make sure what you want to see is checked and what you don't is unchecked.  You can do this (may need to do this) for any playlists, your main Library, etc.
    Good luck

  • Possibly a very basic question but I have set up a spread sheet in Numbers and have viewed help videos but I can't get it to give me sums for the columns I highlight.  Keeps coming up with the figure zero.  I have version 09 2.3(554). Can anyone help

    Possibly a very basic question but I am going nowhere without a solution.  I have set up a spreadsheet in Numbers but it won't give me sums for chosen columns. I  have viewed the run through videos and used the formula but nothing happens apart from giving a figure of zero or a red arrow.  The sum icon in the bottom left hand section of the window does not highlight or show any total as I understand from the video that you can drag whatever total is here onto the relevent position on your spreadsheet.  I have Numbers 09 version 2.3 (554). Can anyone advise. Thanks.

    Hi Sohojools,
    To sum a column, use a formula such as this one in Cell A6
    Type this in a cell below your data:
    =SUM(A2:A4) or whatever range of cells you want to sum. The easy way is to type:
    =SUM(
    and then drag or shift-click to select the range of cells. Close the formula with a final bracket ")".
    The sum icon in the bottom left hand section of the window does not highlight or show any total
    To see the sum (and other simple statistics) in the bottom left, select a range of cells. That tells Numbers which cells you are refering to.
    The videos are good, but the Numbers'09 User guide, and the Formulas and Functions User Guide are better. Download them from the Help Menu in Numbers.
    Regards,
    Ian.

  • Format for certain columns in list view control

    I have a list view control and I would like to format the alignment for certain columns. I heard that the only way you can do this is by formatting the cells in excel. I tried this with no success. Can someone please give me step by step instructions on how to achieve this. I am currently allowing Xcelsius to handle my formatting for money. Is it possible to have Xcelsius handle the money formatting and have excel handle the alignment  formatting. I am open to whatever works at this point. Also I am using Xcelsius 2008 (Build Number 12,2,1,66).
    Much Thx

    Hi,
       In list view control you can format the entire row only, not a certain column.
       Go to property>Appearance>Text Tab>select Header>Format selected text->select the format.
      For width change: Property> Layout Tab>check custom column width the click the icon and enter width in pixel.

  • Alias name for the column name in Prompt

    Hi,
    I have a scenario where I am taking column names into prompt. I have used the following SQL in the SQL results under "Show" option of the Prompt.
    SELECT CASE WHEN 1=0 THEN AGE.AGE ELSE '"Orders"."By OrderDate"' END FROM " Real Time"
    UNION ALL
    SELECT CASE WHEN 1=0 THEN AGE.AGE ELSE '"Orders"."By ShipDate"' END FROM "Real Time"
    My problem here is I am getting the column names into the Prompt as "Orders"."By OrderDate" and "Orders"."By ShipDate", which is not acceptable and readable for mat for the user. Is there any way that I can assign an alias name for the column name such as OrderDate and ShipDate in the above SQL.
    Your quick respose is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Rama

    hi,
    try an alternative one....in your administrator make new columns with alias to ones you want...so you wiil be able to show whatever you want.
    Otherwise,is it possible to show
    SELECT CASE WHEN 1=0 THEN AGE.AGE ELSE '"Orders"."By OrderDate"' as "xxxxxxxxxxxxx"END FROM " Real Time"
    UNION ALL
    SELECT CASE WHEN 1=0 THEN AGE.AGE ELSE '"Orders"."By ShipDate"' as "yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy"END FROM "Real Time"
    Ending,you want the data from your columns?or just the name??
    hope i helped...

    Hi NSP,
    Check if any personalization been done at responsibility level , that might be causing the issue .
    Also check the AOL functions as well .

    Hello Tirupal,
    There is no OOB way to do this.
    Please check this codeplex solution to achieve the same.

  • Possibility for automatic column width in column view

    hi there,
    i would like to ask if anybody has an idea to fulfil my desire.
    i work in column view in the finder of os 10 and it is not handy that i can not read some of my file names due to the column view.
    is there a possibility that the columns change their width automatically? or does anyone knows a shareware to solve this problem.
    i want to open a new window and all columns change themselves.
    thank you very much. kind regards,
    michael

    While this isn't a solution, if you double click on the column width adjustment button (under the arrows of the column you are looking at) the column will increase width to fully show the widest name in the column.
    However, it would be nice to have a Preference available that would let you choose to always have columns displayed with columns at sufficient width to show full names.
    I think this issue is a remnant of a small screen psychology. Large screens are now so prevalent that wide columns would not be a significant issue.
