Namespace and dynamic custom property access
Hi,
I am trying to dynamically set Custom Property of KM Folder(Repository Framework) using the sample code which I found in one of the SAP site. I have modified the code for my requirement and this is how it looks. What I am not able to understand is the "namespace" part. Can anyone tell me what is this namespace field and how should I modify the code for it to get working.
RID rid = RID.getRID("/documents/TestFolder");
IResource resource = ResourceFactory.getInstance().getResource(rid, resourceContext);
String namespace = "http://com.sap.netweaver.bc.rf.sample/xmlns/sample";
String name = "PublishedOn";
IPropertyName propertyName = new PropertyName(namespace, name);
IProperty property = resource.getProperty(propertyName);
IMutableProperty mutableProperty = property.getMutable();
mutableProperty.setStringValue("10/12/2005");
They play the same role as namespaces in XML, RDF or WebDAV. You may want to read http://www.rpbourret.com/xml/NamespacesFAQ.htm.

People Search and a Custom Property
I am trying to surface a custom property in the people search query results. For example,
http://<servername:port>/_api/search/query?querytext='*'&sourceid='B09A7990-05EA-4AF9-81EF-EDFAB16C4E31'
I get XML results but when I look at the properties returned for each of the people result, there are no custom properties from user profile properties. How can I modify the custom properties so that they start showing in the XML results for people search?
Rank, DocId, AboutMe, AccountName, BaseOfficeLocation, Department etc.
Please let me know.
Thanks!
Update: I am using SearchExecutor class and its ExecuteQuery API.Hi,
Thank you for your sharing! It will be beneficial to others in this forum who meet the same issue in the future.

Automated Number AND/OR Custom Property Assignment on DRM
We have an interesting issue. For some of our hierarchies, we do not have all the required Member account codes coming from the business and we only have Aliases.
We want to therefore create a new set of Auto-Numbering system to use that makes sense. We were thinking about Node IDs but we want to use something that we can customize more.
What is the way to create custom numbering (Auto-numbering) on DRM. I see that Formulas are used to create/develop custom DRM properties. The property in this case is essentially auto-numbering.
Do you have any other ideas like is there any existing system property that I may use in DRM or do you thinking creatinga custom property using Formulas is the best way to go about it? Which formula functions should I be looking at? Thanks a lot for the help on this one.
-- AdiFigured it out myself.
Basically used formulas and functions after creating a new DERIVED property. Formulas and functions are very useful tools in DRM for creating customized metadata if you will. -
Create and Register Custom Property Panels
Is there anyone who worked on "Custom Property Panel" in Webcenter? However, I have tried something using the following link but it seems not working.
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E16340_01/webcenter.1111/e10148/jpsdg_page_editor_adv.htm#CHDCJGEC
Can anyone suggest me the possible approaches step by step?
Thanks in advance.Hi again!
Section 20.2, "Creating Oracle Composer Add-Ons": Refers to Oracle Composer buttons that appears in top of it like "Page properties" or "View". In this image http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-o0-wHhGzAg/TrgeohaGM8I/AAAAAAAAASQ/yfQqqU8faY/s1600/Composer6.png "Chane Logo" is a Composer addon (panel).

Allow user to apply custom property or Workflow to DAM folder
Hi,
Is it possible to allow an author user the ability to set a custom property (or workflow) to a folder in the DAM?
i.e. can I create a custom property "Approved" against a DAM folder and expose it via the UI (or update it via a workflow)
I want to apply to an entire folder (not single or multiple assets)
Thanks!yes it is possible to add custom property to dam and workflow. To add custom property to dam asset you have to override "/libs/dam/components/asseteditor" form page in your application.
also you can refer - http://dev.day.com/docs/en/cq/current/dam/customizing_and_extendingcq5dam.html
To add custom property in workflow you have to create custom workflow component using sling resource super type as "cq/workflow/components/model/process" and add custom property in dialog. you can take example of existing workflow under /libs/wcm/workflow area.
also you can refer - http://dev.day.com/docs/en/cq/current/workflows/wf-extending.html -
How to access custom property for attribute and control in .vm file?
Hi,
I have created custom properties in OPM for attribute and apply also that properties to attribute.
But if how to access that value in .vm file?
I accessed using
$attribute.getProperty("ScreenProp", "default value")
but it's not working but same is worked for screen custom property$control.getProperties().get("PropertyName") works for custom properties on a control
If you output $control and $control.getProperties() to the html you can lookup the API for the used classes.
I can't give an example of the html because it's stripped in this forum

How to add values dynamically for custom property during design time?
I am trying to create a user control with custom properties. I have a property named Server.
And Values for this property is system dependent. I have the code that can generate the values and is working fine.
During the design time, when I include this control in my application, and type the property name, I want Visual Studio to prompt for the values. Like it
does for Alignment property for some controls shows Left, Right, Center.. during design time.
If the Values are static, I can use an enum and it works fine. I need help with dynamic values.You can't, afaik.
It's either an enum or you don't get that functionality of values.
There is no right left centre, "Towards the top right but just off centre" - which I just thought of... option for example.
Hope that helps.

Same Custome HR infotype twice once without namespace and with namespace
Hello all i just want to know can we create same custom infotype (eg 9060) two times once with namespace (eg /companyname/9060) and also withoutname space (eg 9060).
those who dont know what is namespace, we can reserve a namespace in accordance with SAP so that we can develop all our development component in ourname space instead of initiating with Z or Z. it starts with "/" (eg "/namespace name/ object name")
I tried it but Infotype attributes are same for both infotype but i have different other components eg. DDIC structurea and table name and screen name. i also tried to see in PA30 after creating it but it not able to see 2 infotype infact 1 only.
So my question is it possible to create Custome infotype twice once without namespace and also with namespace???
Any reply will be appreciated.
ManiWell i am able to create two infotype component but when i am trying to access them then i am getting on first on. explaination below will give u more light
Infotype without namespace : 9060
other component:
P9060
PA9060
PS9060
etc
Infotype with namespace : 9060
/namespace/P9060
/namespace/PS9060
/namespace/PA9060
etc
But i dont need frontend of infotype so i am still confused can i go with this or not.
the requirement arises as we developed an package previously with infotype without namespace but ow we have our own namespace and want to transfer all the stuff to our namespace.

Perform static and dynamic check together on a customer?
Hello All,
Is it possible to perform static and dynamic check together on a customer?
I believe standard SAP does not allow both options together.
The scenario is: My client has customer who orders products 1 year in advance and create sales order with a future delivery date. The customer might have balance due on their account which is close to the credit limit. As a result the sale order should be blocked as if the automatic credit check is "Static". This would allow our customer service to call the customer and arrange for the payments.
Then 11 months later, a dynamic check should be performed on the customer to make sure the past due is under the credit limit. If the past due is over credit limit, the sales order must be blocked for delivery as if the credit check was "Dynamic" with 30 days horizon. This would again give our customer service time to settle the payment with the customer.
If anyone has implemented such a scenario, can you please give me an overview of how you did it?
Thanks very much in advance and Text Removed.
With Regards,
AM

Please dont include this textStatic and Dynamic Cannot be Performed together. They are mutually exclusive events.
Credit check can be performed either at Sale order level or at Delivery / PGI Level.
FCV3 is a good report to see whether a customer would fail a credit check. ( suitable for your customer service )
Coming to your Point , Assuming that the customer is eligible for a Credit of 50 Lacs. Now the Customer has placed an order for 60 Lacs. We set the Customer credit checking at order level . The Customers Sale order would get blocked.
The Customer service will follow up for the payment and see to it that it is made. Assume the customer has made a payment for 70 Lacs.
Now let us have a look at the account statement of the customer.
Account Statement : Customer Cr : 70 Lacs. Dr : 0. ( because no delivery and invoice so far has been made )
So we are supposed to deliver the Material worth value of 60 Lacs.
The First sale order worth 60 Lacs has been unblocked in VKM3. Now at the time of Delivery level why would you want to chekc the Credit limit again ? It has already passed the credit check.
It is not necessary to check credit limit . Because you have already performed the same at the order level.
Now the customer has come again and raised another sale order for 80 Lacs. The System would block him.
The system will never block the Previous delivery which you are, due for delivery to the customer.
If we keep on checking the Credits without delivering we would end up only raising in Sale orders and no Delivery to the Customer at all. The Debit side of his account will always be 0.
So i donot think Static and dynamic is needed . you can go for either Static or Dynamic. -
how do you connect your photoshop elements on your computer to your account online? and how do you create a customized url? how does the gallery work and how do you access it? i have trouble signing in on my program from my computer to connect to the online photoshop, and I really want to create my own customized url and post photos to my gallery and share them with the world, family, and friends, but i need help because i can't figure how to do any of this, would really appreciate feedback and assistance, thanks, - claire conlon
To add to sig's reply, "calibrating" does not calibrate Lithiu-Ion batteries, it calibrates the charge reporting circuitry. If you look at the effect of deep discharging Lithium-Ion batteries in the data from the independent test group, Battery University, you will see that doing so shortens the life of the battery significantly. It looks like an optimum balance between use and life is at a discharge level of 50%.

I wrote a macro in a Word 2010 template with a custom property called HeaderFooter (a Yes/No value). When the property is changed to No, the header and footer are hidden, otherwise, the header and footer are displayed.
I added the template to a SharePoint 2010 Document library, with a content type DocInformation and a column name HeaderFooterOffOn that I want to map to the custom property HeaderFooter in the Word Document.
The macro isn't working in SharePoint, though, because when the user clicks on the HeaderFooterOffOn in the DIP of the Word Document, the Word Custom Property (HeaderFooter) isn't changing with it.
How do I get these two synced up, so that when the SharePoint column is changed, the Word Document's custom property simultaneously updates with it?Hi kevinkevinc,
There is no direct way to run macro in SharePoint
As a workaround, I suggest you use SharePoint Event Receiver to run some custom code when column changed.
Here is a similiar thread for your reference:

By passing time based publishing namespace and property filters
Using the RF explorer i found that the TBP service uses TBP_NAMSPACE_documents namefilter and the TBP_PROPERTY_documents property filter for visibilty and manipulate resource properties.
My goal is depending on a checkbox on the user interface of the KM search iView I would like to bypass or make sure these filters don't execute..
Any ideas?
Even if i could configure they priorities of the filters they would still run and filter out the documents.
I would let TBP would work as usual but if a user selected the checkbox the KM search iView would also bring back results of expired or documents not valid yet.
That is temporary disable the TBP service.
Any ideas how these could be achieved programmatically would be appreciated??
HenriHi Henry,
First, let me say that we have set up TREX to NOT filter out documents that have not been published (or have expired). To do this, we needed to give the index_service write access to the folders we wanted this to work for. I am not sure how to do this 'on the fly' though.
Now, I actually see one problem with what you are wanting:
Even though TREX is returning all unpublished documents, the only users in our environment who can see them are users who have WRITE access to the folders these documents exist in in the first place. So, unless you give everyone write access to all the folders, most users will not get back the search results they are expecting.

BSOD on Server 2012 running dfs namespace and dfs replication roles with deduplication
Hello,
I have recently setup 2 dfsn & dfsr servers, both 2012 one physical the other virtual.
The idea is to have one server as primary and the other as a failover \ DR.
The primary server is virtual and connects via mpio \ iscsi to a dell san, using the provided dell DSM Drivers.
The secondary server is physical with local disk for storage.
I copy files to a namespace setup to always prefer the primary server, these files are then replicated across to the secondary.
I have also turned on deduplication on both servers to get the most out of the available storage.
This has been working well for 6 months or so, there have however been 2-3 occasions where the primary virtual server has crashed and blue screened causing the DFSR database to undergo a full consistency check.
The bug check errors i have managed to extract from the Memory.dmp and mini dump are as follows:
* Bugcheck Analysis
REFERENCE_BY_POINTER (18)
Arguments:
Arg1: 0000000000000000, Object type of the object whose reference count is being lowered
Arg2: fffffa80379a3070, Object whose reference count is being lowered
Arg3: 0000000000000002, Reserved
Arg4: ffffffffffffffff, Reserved
The reference count of an object is illegal for the current state of the object.
Each time a driver uses a pointer to an object the driver calls a kernel routine
to increment the reference count of the object. When the driver is done with the
pointer the driver calls another kernel routine to decrement the reference count.
Drivers must match calls to the increment and decrement routines. This bugcheck
can occur because an object's reference count goes to zero while there are still
open handles to the object, in which case the fourth parameter indicates the number
of opened handles. It may also occur when the object?s reference count drops below zero
whether or not there are open handles to the object, and in that case the fourth parameter
contains the actual value of the pointer references count.

I have searched for others having a similar problem but have not managed to find much.
The memory dump at the time of the crash does seem to hint at a problem with DFSR.exe.
The setup seems to be running fine again now and is going through its consistency checks, it is just a major inconvenience and will only get worse as the DFS becomes busier and approaches capacity.
The plan was to put this setup into production however with the unpredictability of blue screen reboots I cannot see this happening until I can find a fix or work around.
I have yet to see this problem occur on the other (physical) server, this is pretty much identical in configuration apart from its storage access.
My thoughts are a possible bug in the DFSR component or a bug in the DSM Drivers used for the iSCSI SAN connection or maybe a combination of the two.
Any help, thoughts or suggestions greatly appreciated
ThanksHi,
Please install the current version of Dfssvc.exe Dfsc.sys Dfsrs.exe for Windows Server 2012.
List of currently available hotfixes for Distributed File System (DFS) technologies in Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012 R2

The issue may be due to the DFSRoot folder has lost NTFS permission. Some reasons why DFS root lose ACLs Links are listed in the article below:
How to implement Windows Server 2003 Access-based Enumeration in a DFS environment
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/907458/en-us
You could use dfsutil to set NTFS permission: dfsutil property ACL \\DFS-namespace
Using the Windows Server 2008 DFSUTIL.EXE command line to manage DFS-Namespaces
http://blogs.technet.com/b/josebda/archive/2009/05/01/using-the-windows-server-2008-dfsutil-exe-command-line-to-manage-dfs-namespaces.aspx
To narrow down the issue, you could remove the DFS role to check if the issue related to the dfs namespace and dfs replication roles.

MDT 2013: bootstrap.ini not applying username and password for share access
I customized my bootstrap.ini file to skip the welcome screen, set keyboard locale, and enter a service account username and password for share access. The welcome screen skip and keyboard locale work beautifully but it's not applying the share username/password/domain
at all.
bootstrap.ini:
[Settings]
Priority=Default
[Default]
DeployRoot=\\mydeploymentserver\DeploymentShare$
UserID=myuserid
UserDomain=mydomain.com
UserPassword=mypassword
KeyboardLocale=en-US
SkipBDDWelcome=YES
I verified that the unattend.xml file on the MININT volume during deployment had all of this information populated correctly:

<![LOG[------ Done processing X:\Deploy\Scripts\Bootstrap.ini ------]LOG]!>Basics - Server 2008 R2 - SP1, WDS, MDT 2013
Well all, I've done this at least 20 times today and the deployment share info is still wrong...
Someone else built and messed with this thing so i'm trying to fix it. We have 2 MDT servers and 1 WDS that is on the Production MDT. I've turned the test MDT off.
It was working fine, until I updated the deployment share ... after adding some drivers for the surface pro 3 for the pxe boot
Very Simple bootstrap.ini
[Settings]
Priority=Default
[Default]
DeployRoot=\\MMPDEPLOY02\DeploymentShare$
UserID=xxx
UserDomain=xxx
UserPassword=xxx
KeyboardLocale=en-US
SkipBDDWelcome=YES
It continues to show up on the client as ||mdt901w8|deploymentshare$ (test server) (pipes for \ since it makes it a link and i'm new)
I've deleted all the .wim and associated files from all locations from the deployment share\boot folder and from the wds remote install\boot\x64\images folder where they are instead of the remote install\boot\images folder that everyone refers to.
I really can't figure this one out... I know it's something simple I'm over looking but I can't see it..
Any ideas.. -
IT0009: payment method "cheque" and dynamic actions
Hello,
I need your help on this issue.
I have looking for answers on the different posts but i didn't found any similar problems.
For a customer, i have to settle, in case of departure (leaving) action , the creation in background of an infotype 0009 from infotype 0000 with payment method 'C' - Cheque and the BEGDA equal to the first day of the month. It is a payroll need.
The dynamics action is easy to do but i have an error which makes appears the infotype. Actually, the information City is mandatory in SAP standard (?) in case of payment 'C' - Cheque.
I did the test and when i create infotype 0009, the name of the person, from infotype 0002 i guess, is put in the field but not the adress, city and postal code. If i select payment cheque, an errror alerts me that the city is mandatory for this payment method. If i put something, no problem, but i would like to automate it and retrieve data from IT0006. That is strange is when i delete the payee information (last and first name field) and validate the screen, no more error, even if i select payment cheque. And if i save and go back on the record, data from IT0006 (city, postal code and payee) have been automatically put in the infotype.
I would like to reproduce the same thing by the dynamic action but i can't access these fields because they are not part of the P0009 table but the Q0009 structure and i don't access it through dynamic action
Do you have some experiences to share on this topic ?
Thanks in advance.hi
To replace a check or to create a check instead of a bank transfer, the system must be able to access the
correct payment method. The standard system contains predefined payment methods. However, you can
also specify your own values.
The standard system contains the following methods of payment:
- C (Check)
- D (Transfer)
- M (Check with manual assignment of check number)
