Namespace Communictaion Error?

Hi,
I have just try to login into the workspace and got this dialog box
Name space Communication error
what this error is
and how to remove this error

From the date of installation, it was working fine.
Previous week I had some issue opening planning and workspace so i restartd the services.
Then I came to know that my weblogic is down so i started the weblogic and the Hyperion services.
Today when I try to login into the workspace and got this dialog box.
I hope it will be just restarting the services.
I'll get back to you if the problem still persist
*Actually i was thinking of reconfiguring the web servers.
Kindly guide me on this..*

Namespace Communication Error

I'm having the following issue when trying to login to Hyperion Workspace (in EPM 11.1.2) . I get to the login page fine, and when I login it takes me into Workspace, but a warning immedately pops up saying *"Namespace Communication Error".* I can dismiss this warning by hitting 'OK', but after that I cannot navigate to any of the Workspace areas like the Explore directory or the Scheduler directory. If I try to go to "Explore", I get an error saying *"Invalid or could not find module configuration*". If I try to go to the Batch Scheduler page, I get an error saying *"Handler : 'com.hyperion.reporting.web.scheduler.SchedulerListHandler' not found for module with id : reporting.scheduler".* I find that if I restart the EPM and Foundation services, Workspace starts functioning normally again, but this is shortlived. I.e. If I log out and try to login after 10-15 minutes, I again get all of the above warnings and errors!
Has anyone experienced this problem? I appreciate any guidance with this.

I have installed Oracle EPM 11.1.2.0 on different OS like windows7/RedhatEL 5.0 succesfully.But when when i log into workspace i get the error NAMESPACE COMMUNICATION ERROR(on windows) and then it hangs for few minutes and then it will take to workspace.(It can be a defect with Orcale EPm itself.)
So,I tried to reconfigure the web server using IIS and then restarted the Foundation services the problem got solved for me.I no more see the NameSpace Communication error.
Worth trying.

Geetting unbound namespace prefix error when merging

Client gave me 3 lists to merge. Two worked. The third is giving me unbound namespace prefix error. The first time I tried to open this particular file I got a warning that it wasn't mac compatible and will open as read-only. I got it open, copied and pasted into a new doc. But whenever I try to merge I get the namespace error. I did a google search and it said there can't be any colons or parenthesis in the data field. Far as I could determine doing a search there aren't any. Any help appreciated. Thx.

First thing I do--because I inherently do not trust clients--is to open merge lists in Excel or LibreOffice, then export them out as tab-delimeted files. As long as Excel opens them and the data is where it ought to be, this usually fixes encoding errors that can come in depending upon what last had them open and were saved from.

Unbound namespace prefix error

I am using CS4 InDesign. I have a letter that I am trying to use the data merge function to merge data from in excel csv file. For some reason every time i try to link my csv file it gives me a "unbound namespace prefix" error. Anyone have any ideas on how I can fix this problem? Thanks!

Hi!
I discovered it was Semi-colins or Parenthaces that create this error when importing a CSV file. I had "Ph:(07)BLAHBLAHBLAH" in the data and then once I removed these it worked fine.

Unknown namespace prefix Error - when using custom Aliases with RDF aliases

I am getting unknown namespace prefix error when I use custome SEM_ALIAS with rdf SEM_ALIAS. It seems once you specify custom SEM_ALIAS, the default rdf alias is not recognized. Following are the details of queries
I have a sem_Model "test" which has "event" as a class and "Merger" as a sub-class of event, with "acquiringorg" as a property having the domain "org". "Org" is also defined as a class with the literal attribute "hasname". I have added one instance of "merger" class with appropriate values for "acquiringorg" property. There is one instance or "Org" as well for reference in the instance above.
the following query(return all objects having property "acquiringorg" and its .e. "hasName" attribute for the object) runs fine and returns appropriate resultset

AIR 1.5.2 namespace throws error in FB 3 standalone

I am developing in the standalone Flex Builder 3 Standard IDE, running the latest Flash Player and matching debug player 10.0.32.18 and have installed the new AIR 1.5.2 runtime.
I have an AIR application that is built on the Flex 3.2 SDK. When I change the app.xml descriptor to namespace to <application xmlns="http://ns.adobe.com/air/application/1.5.2"> and try to debug the app, I get the "invalid application descriptor ......" error. Also, if I simply try to run the app (not debug it), it won't launch. In fact Flex Builder just sits there.
What am I missing? If I set the namespace back to <application xmlns="http://ns.adobe.com/air/application/1.5">, everything works again.

You need to update the AIR SDK to 1.5.2.
If you are on Mac, you can mount the SDK dmg file, then ditto it over the flex sdk dir insider your Flex Builder.

Namespace deletion error for ghost objects

Hi people.
I need to remove a namespace in ESR.
I have first deleted all objects and activated it and then I tried to remove the namespace from the Namespace Definition List.
After removed the namespace item and saving the change, I receive the following error:
Cannot save object Namespace Definition
Namespace cannot be deleted since the software component version still contains objects in namespace http://www.sapcons.com/Edm_EE/
Delete the objects first
In fact, running the Export functionality and saving the summary result in a file I have a list of objects but, at this point, I don't know how to delete. Could be a cache problem? I cleaned all cache available in Administration web page but without result.
Could someone help me?

Double clicking the software component, delete all the namespaces present in the software component, and do not save it.
Now delete all the default datatypes in all the namespaces present in the software component and now save the software component and activate the changes.
Now double clicking the software component> Goto Software component version menu> from the drop down select the delete option. this will delete the software component from IR.
Now goto SLD and select the software component and remove it.
Then clear the SLD cache. Now the software component will be deleted.

Just to be clear it works if you use
http://server:80/workspace/index.jsp
as that is the url you should be using for IIS as the http server.
You shouldnt be using http://server:28080/workspace/index.jsp as that is not going through the http server so will no redirect correctly to the other products.

10.1.3.2 migration results in "not a registered TLD namespace error".

After migrating from 10.1.3.1 to 10.1.3.2 JDEV I received the following error message in many jsps:
Error(11): "http://jakarta.apache.org/taglibs/xtags-1.0" is not a registered TLD namespace.
Error(5): "http://jakarta.apache.org/taglibs/dbtags" is not a registered TLD namespace.
These were not standard taglibs; they were part of the old application. I got the same errors in 10.1.3.1 but got around them by registering the taglibs.
Here's the web.xml entries from 10.1.3.2. They are identical to the web.xml entries from 10.1.3.1

Your suggestion helped to resolve my issue. However, in addition to the steps you outlined I had to go into JDev 10.1.3.2 -> Project Properties -> Libraries -> Edit ->
and edit the library properties to add classpath and sourcepath entries.
I'd still like to know why the migration from 10.1.3.1 unmapped the libraries.

and you can import the tld/jar file and it will register the
library in Jdev.
After that it works fine, although you have to put (jaxp,
xalan, crimson, dom4j) in your project lib.
This setting are good enough for Jdev runtime, but when you
deploy the application on the server, you also need to have
web.xml changes as per you mentioned.

Is it possible to configure JDeveloper 10.1.3 to work with older versions of UIX (e.g. 2.2.x)?
Am I missing something obvious? I have tried various things on OTN that didn't work (i.e. searched JDeveloper forum for 'TLD namespace' and 'UIX 2.2').
I am currently not having problems debugging Thick Java components, but would like to standardize development/debugging for both Thick (Java) and Thin (UIX 2.2.x) on one 10.1.3 JDeveloper platform.
For reference, I am currently trying to migrate from the production JDeveloper 10.1.2.0.0 (Build 1811) release, where UIX 2.2.x applications work fine. Near term I do not have a need migrate previous applications to UIX 3.x/ADF.

Error in Ampping Operation

Hi ,
I have an issue now in the Operation Mapping in the interface determination.
I checked my IR activated and deactivated objects for Message mapping and then freed the cache and yet have the same error in the step for Interface Determination where I see the error and stops at this point, using the test tool in Receiver determination.
My source is IDOC message Type MATMAS imported from SAP and the Target is my own specific created IDOC message type with limited fields.(resembling MATMAS).
The communcation channel adaptor is file as receiver and used RFC, earlier was FTP server option.
I am not sure where the message error is whic previously I did not have.

Error while create abap proxy

I need to create abap proxy in sap system to push the data from sap system to XI.
when i create ABAP PROXY in sap system in Tcode SPROXY,System displays a error
"objects from other name spaces missing" .
So i am not able to activate the abap proxy.

Are you using the message type created in external system?
Are any of your Data type element refer structure to other namespace.
Error mention that it does not find the detail structure of any of Datatype element. Check all link are available properly.

Error while copy query between infocubes

I was trying to copy a query between infocubes and ended with error message.
Query copied from Infocube A to Infocube B. Infocube B has an additional dimension with 2 char's when compared to infocube A.
Using transaction RSZC, I tried to copy the query, but ended up with following error..
1.Program error in class COPY_QRY_TO_CUBE method : UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION
2.An exception with the type CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB occurred, but was neither handled locally, nor declared in a RAISING clause
3.The system tried to insert a data record, even though a data record with the same primary key already exists
I also tried using function module RSZ_I_COPY_QRY_TO_CUBE, which was of no help. I get the following message with the function module...
1. Program error in class RS_TESTFRAME_CALL method : UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION
2. An exception with the type CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB occurred, but was neither handled locally, nor declared in a RAISING clause
3. The system tried to insert a data record, even though a data record with the same primary key already exists
I have also tried a solution in BW expert by using debugging mode of the above function module, again this was of no help..
I am BI 7.0 SP09...

Are you trying to copy Business Content delivered Queries?
I had also got this error when copying over all queries from one cube to another. Reason for this message was plain simple - I did not realise that the sender Cube had Business Content Query which we cannot copy over using RSZC as system tries to create another query with suffix as 0****_1. We cannot create query in SAP user namespace. Error message is different then the reason behind it.

An Unexpected severe error has occured in JDeveloper which says The program may be unstable, which could result in data loss. Decide how you want to proceed and click OK

There have been numerous causes of this kind of error reported. Some cms be fixed, most never got a clear explanation. Problem is that there are no reproducible test cases as error come sporadic.
My findings are that you can choose to continue your work and check the box which says 'remember ...' do you don't have to do the selection each time you get the same error.
