Nano and 64 bit XP

I have 2 problems:
1. The latest version of iTunes comes back with an error message "does not work with 64 bit OS" !
2. I try to sync my nano and the USB connection is lost...
Any ideas would be appreciated - I had no problems when I was using XP 32 bit OS.... bugger...

New Nano and iMovie

Does anyone know for sure if you'll be able to take multiple video clips from the Nano and import them into iMovie to customize and merge into one video. Then be able to burn that to DVD?
I'd like to be able to take multiple short clips and then merge them into one video with transitions, etc.
I have a small video camera right now and the format is not supported by iMovie. With extra software, I've been able to convert the files, but I loose audio. I'm thinking this might do the trick plus give me an iPod!

A bit of history: 640 x 480 pixels was a screen resolution adopted by IBM and named VGA (Video Graphics Array) circa 1987 with introduction of the PS/2 computers, and made possible by faster processors and vastly more video RAM.
Seems laughable now, but in 1987 it was a vast improvement on 640x200 and 320x200 CGA (Color Graphics Adapter) color modes of the optional color adapter available with original IBM PC, circa 1982.

New nano and hifi

Everytime i plug my nano and hifi in together i have to move it about a little bit to play and push it down all the way.
Also, when playing a song, about 50% of the time it skips the first song on the hifi i use the remote and dont touch and buttons at all.

I have a smiliar problem.
The Nano charges on the iPod Hi-Fi. It also responds to the remote. However, it will NOT play music, i.e. no music is heard through iPid Hi-Fi while playing from the Nano connected to it.
Please help. I doubt Apple will exchange a product because of this?
Could it be the firmware? No update yet?

I have a brand new ipod nano and I am wondering why it stops playing music if I let it sit to long with out pressing the stop and it has a battery life

So I just got an Ipod nano from apple and I decided to pop it in and listen to it but if I do not use the touch screen for more than like a minute, it turns itself off and stops playing music. why?

This is usually an indication that the headphones are not plugged all the way in. The white part of the headset should be flush with the Nano and no silver from the jack should still be seen. The newer headphone jacks on the 6G Nanos are a bit tighter than in previous generations and require just a bit of extra force to pop them all the way in.

No audio on video on just iPod Nano and Clasic

Hi Folks,
I have recently ran into an issue that has me a bit confused. I have had a couple viewers of our video podcast complain that they are unable to hear the audio on thier devices, it plays fine in iTunes just not on their iPod. One is viewing on an 5th gen. iPod Nano and the other on a 2nd gen iPod Classic. The confusing part is that I have tested on an iPod Touch and iPad and I am not experiencing the issue on those devices.
The issue popped up when we changed over our encoding hardware from an Elgato to a Matrox MXO2LE using their MAX technology. However, the files are being encoded the same way, ACC LC at 128Kbps. The only noticeable difference was that the Elgato was encoding at 44.1kHz and the MAX at 48kHz. As far as I can tell both are supported on the iPods.
Any thoughts?

I'm afraid I have no experience of video on any iPod: could I suggest you ask in the iPod Forum where you could very possibly get someone to test the actual files.

Help: nano and lost music

Last week my computer got a virus, so i contacted dell and they guided me through a total system restore. First of all, I backed up all of my music in my library. Unfortunately, during the transfer some of my files were lost. However, i have all the music on my ipod nano (1st gen.) but i am afraid that if i connect my nano to my computer it will wipe the files on my nano and replace with them with the files in my itunes library. What should I do? Is ther any way that i can connect my nano without losing the music that is already on it??

Connect your iPod to your computer. If it is set to update automatically you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod. Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual and use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Also when using most of the utilities listed below your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button: Managing content manually on iPod
Once you are safely connected there are a few things you can do to restore your iTunes from the iPod. If you have any iTunes Music Store purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. The transfer of content from other sources such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. There is also a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows or a Mac. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available at this link: Two-way Street: Moving Music Off the iPod
Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay.

Creation of Add-on package for 64 bit and 32 bit SAP Business One Client

Please help me creating package for 64 bit and 32 bit SAP Business One. If Add-on executable is compiled with x86 option then there is no issue of connecting Add-on with 32 bit SAP Business one and if Add-on executable is compiled with Any CPU option then there is no issue of connecting Add-on with 64 bit SAP Business one. Problems are mentioned as below
1. My Add-on uses MS ACCESS connection and the connection is read using Jet OLEDB 4.0 provider. It works fine for x86 compile mode but not when compile mode is Any CPU. I searched for the issue on Google and found a solution to change MS ACCESS connection provider to ACE.OLEDB.12.0 but again ACE provider is installed according to the Office version i.e. 32 bit or 64 bit office suite. If I install 32 bit ACE provider then Add-on executable compiled with x86 version is working fine but with Any CPU option throws error as provider is not registered on current machine.
2. Secodly, our license validation activex dll is build using vb 6.0 and therefore when Add-on executable is compiled using Any CPU option, Add-on EXE cannot read from license dll. Any suggestion, how the activeX dll can be compiled whose component can be created from for X86 compiled exe and any cpu compiled exe.
Please help because we are stuck in this issue and cannot move forward.

That is one solution but did your add on used ms access connection? if you used Jet oledb to connection string or ace oledb connection string? what if 32 bit office is installed and what if 64 office is installed? how did you found the office version in install script? after determining the office version how did you installed Microsoft redistributable for ace oledb (32 bit or 64 bi )?
I am sorry that I asked many questions but these are the problems where I am stuck with the addon installer?

Need help on how to help my sister register her new nano and add music to it on my computer. I have my on nano already on my computer registered and set up but she and I don't listen to the same music so how would I go about doing this?

I'm trying to find out information on how to go about helping my sister to register her new nano and load on CD's and such. I have a nano and already know how to do this but she is from CA and we want to load it here on my computer. She will be going home in 2 weeks and wants to use it in the car for the ride home.We don't listen to the same kind of music so I don't want to use my library but do one of her own for her. Also she will want to add this library on to her computer at home. I'm 60 and my sister is 70 I have enough knowledge to do some things on the computer but am not real computer smart. My sister is just learning about everything but has no idea what to do with that knowledge. Can anyone give me and idea on how to do this that I can get a grasp of what needs to be done to do this? Help please - have a Nano and a Shuffle and neither are working! The Nano wheel appears to have stopped working - I can't get it to do anything. I've done the reset,it worked the first time but not since. And the shuffle won't sync with my library!

I have an iPod shuffle 4th generation and an iPod Nano 5th generation . The Nano wheel appears to have stopped working - I can't get it to play or anything. I've done the reset and it worked the first time, but now the only way I can get it to play anything is to shake it and go with the shuffle choices - I can't change volume, song, pause or turn it off.
So, I decided to start using the Shuffle which I was given as a present last year. I've plugged it into my laptop (running windows 8 and newest version of iTunes). It appears in iTunes on the left hand side, but when I click to sync (whether I tick sync all or choose artists) it says synched but has no music. It seems to not be linked to the music library - when I tick synch all songs, next to the "sync music" it says 0 songs?
Any help to fix either would be really appreciated - I'm without any music at the moment and I'm going away this weekend!

There is no "adding" a device. Simply plug the iDevice into the computer. iTunes should automatically detect the device when it is connected.
iTunes can sync/manage as many iDevices as you want... there is no 1 device limit.

Using the same license key for 32 bit version and 64 bit version of MS Office 2013

You can choose either 32 bit or 64 bit install before you use the Product Key.
But as Hans mentioned, if you use the product key on both, it will count as two installs of Office and you may get the error like "The Product Key is invalid".
