Native2ascii - same input - different output!??

Hello all,
I have to convert this UTF-8-Property-String:
label_from=От
into "ISO 8859-1 with Unicode escapes" with native2ascii.
On my Linux-Machine (Java 5) I get:
label_from=\u041e\u0442
This is right and leads to a correct output :)
On a Windows-Machine (I unfortunately have to work with time by time) with Java 6 I get:
label_from=\u00d0\u017e\u00d1\u201a
This leads to a broken output :(
Can anybody tell me why this happens? Are there ways to make the Windows-machine behave like the Linux-machine (besides "format c:" and than install LInux...)?

I think you need to specify the encoding: native2ascii -encoding UTF-8 <infile> <outfile> Otherwise, it treats <infile> as if it were in the system default encoding (which just happens to be UTF-8 on your Linux box).

Same input and output format, Why does Final Cut want to transcode it when I export?

I am taking Prores 422 (HQ) footage from a BlackMagic HyperDeck studio throwing it in FCPX adding a few cross desolves and exporting ProRes 422 (HQ) and it insists on transcoding the entire project rather than just writing it to disk. Am I missing something here? I've double checked and all of the cross fades are rendered in 422 (HQ). I swear we were able max out our disk speed and export the video 3 to 4 times faster but it seems to have changed in the last few FCPX updates.
Is anyone else noticing this?

I work with a lot of different video formats, and sometimes I have to go back into a new Project and check that the framerate/format matches my original footage and output. I also check Field Dominance in Inspector -> Info -> Settings View.

Input and output on same device, producer/consumer structure

Hello interested people,
I have a question about using the same device for both digital inputs
and outputs. I have written a simple program of one while loop
that continuously polls the device, processes, and requests. I
have addressed the device using two DAQmx Asst. and I have attached
them with their error in/out cluster terminals to provide data flow and
eliminate the chance of addressing the devices at the same time (which
produces an error). Now I want to change this program structure
to a producer/consumer loop foundation with state machine.
In this design, I will have the DI in the producer loop and the DO in
the consumer loop, under one of the states. I can't simply
connect the error in/out ports in this configuration, so my question is
how to avoid the error caused by addressing the same device
simultaneously with two different tasks (input and output)? I
have attached two VI's, the "One Loop" vi is the original configuration
(simplified), and the Producer-Consumer vi is a NONSENSICAL program
that simply represents the desired configuration. (I don't need
any comments on the programming of this vi, it is only an example for
illustration of the problem).
I am thinking about bundling the input data and the error cluster, both
from the PXI 6528 DI, into one cluster, queueing that up, and
unbundling the de-queued elements for some kind of data flow between
the producer loop and the "Request" state of the consumer loop.
Is this the right approach, or am I barking up the wrong tree?

It sounds to me like you really have two modes:
1. user interface actions determine execution
2. user interface is locked, and execution is automated.
I think it would make sense to use the producer consumer for an architecture. Basically you would do the following:
1. program the producer to handle the user interface as you normally would.
2. provide one additional event case in the producer which would be your "automated handling" case. In that case, you could put a state machine which could run until whatever conditions were met to put your program back in "user interface mode".
Keep in mind that you can use custom USER EVENTS to programmatically generate events ie. you can trigger the start of your "automated handling" form anywhere in your code at virtually any time.
I think this would allow you to take advantage of the producer consumer architecture in its intended spirit, while integrating an automated routine.

UDF has 2 different results with the same input

I have checked the queues of all the inbound fields and the values match exactly but in one mapping the output in the queue for this UDF looks like this:

How can the same input using the same java code (cut and pasted to make sure it matched) return 2 different values. I have verified that they both use the same Imports as well. The bad one is part of a function library while the good one is a local function.
Any ideas?

You make a good point Stefan but unfortunately I already checked that. I have even copied the mapping (right click copy) and pasted it from the working Mapping to the bad Map (Paste) to make sure the context values were all the same.
I also opened all the queues and compared the values in each. All values match exactly except for the result(out) queue.
In both tests I am using the same IDOC XML file.
These are the only differences I see.
1. The IDOC is exactly the same as far as I can tell but they come from two different source SWCV. SAP APPL 4.7 and Steelcase_Procurement (ECC 6.0).
2. The working map uses a local UDF. The bad map calls the UDF from a Function Group. Is there a Java version difference between the two?
A better sample of the result queues look like this:

Problem with same Container for 2 different outputs

I am using method set_table_for_first_display to display 2 different output with same container depending upon the selection of radio button. but the problem I am facing is when I click BACK button after dispaying second output and executing first output, it is showing prebious output only. is there any method to handle this problem?

1) Is it possible to have input and output KF at different planning levels?...
2) Is there anyway to see MAD and MAPE values for each Forecast run?

Hi Krishna,
#1 - The Inputs and Outputs should be at the same base planning level. Output should be a Stored KF. The input can be a calculated KF.
To achieve input and output at different plan levels, you can do something like this:
I/P KF1@PL1 (stored) Output: KF3@PL2
Create a Calculated KF: KF2@PL2 with calculation like SUM(KF1@PL1) and use this as input for StatFcst
#2 - The result of Fcst run MAD cannot be seen from Excel Client yet, we will address this in near release. If you are on-premise, you can see the results in table: sap.sop.sopfnd.catalogue::SOPFCS_FORECAST_RUNTIME_INFO_TAB

Audio input and output at the same time

Hello mac users.
I have one simple question: since the new macbook has one single audio port for both input and output, how could I, for example, play my guitar AND listen to the headphones at the same time?
I KNOW (because I've tried) that with the iPhone headphones with microphone the port CAN physically work at the same time for input and output, so the question is: what can I use to do that? Will a simple splitter do or do I have to use different tricks?
(I know there is a thread on this already, but it doesn't provide a definitive answer)

One of the first questions to ask...
Is the audio input stereo or mono?
When using a headset mic you're dealing with a mono input so you at least know the Mac is capable of that.
If it's mono, and I suspect it is, should be easy to either make or purchase a custom cable that has two female input connectors, one mono input and a stereo headphone input.
However, I'd probably just purchase a USB audio interface, the sound, both recording and playback will be head and shoulders above the Macbooks built in internal audio.

Same report, 2 identical servers, 2 different outputs???

We have a report that is produced correctly on our Staging server, but when we promote the same report to our Production server (which is a mirror of our Staging server), we get different output. The machines are identical in every respect except for the name. The same queues, fonts, and version of Crystal Report (10.2.3600.0) is installed on both. I wish I could upload the 2 versions of the pdfs that are outputted for you to see the differences, but there doesn't seem to be a way to do that here. Any ideas of what could be causing the discrepancies?

Can I back track a bit here? I would like a bit more clarification on how this is being tested. From what I understand:
1) You have the same application running on 2 different servers which are mirrors of each other.
2) The report is exported to PDF directly, not previewed or printed first.
3) The PDF is opened locally on the client machine.
A couple of questions I have:
1) Is the client machine viewing the PDFs from both servers or are these 2 different clients as well? If the clients are different, then can you try opening the PDF from the second server onto your original client and see if they formatting is the same? I say this because I want to make sure the Acrobat reader is the same version on both machines and to eliminate the possibility that the PDF is fine but the reader may be the culprit.
2) You've removed the printer in the report I see. On the client machine, is there default printer installed and is it something other than the Generic Text Driver?
3) Same question as above but on the second server? A printer is important to Crystal even if you are not printing. Many years ago if a printer was not installed, the print engine would crash the report when you tried to run it. That's when the No Printer option was added but that's a different story. I just needed to stress the importance of having a printer installed.

Synchronize input and output tasks to start at the same sample point [C++ NI_DAQmx Base]

I'm trying to initiate the analog input and output streams to start reliably at the same sample. I've tried triggering the output from the start of the input using the following code [NI-DAQmx Base 2.1 under Mac OS X with an M-Series multifunction board]. I adapted the NI-DAQmx calls to their NI-DAQmx Base equivalents.
Finally, you asked "Is the trigger necessary, or do you just need to know that the measurements are running on the same clock?". I believe that some kind of sychronized trigger is necessary in my situation (correct me if I'm wrong). Timing is crucial. Say I initiate an analog output stream that delivers a voltage command step 5 ms from the onset. I need to record the response (analog input stream) so that its onset is accurately aligned (synchronized) at 5 ms. A typical recording situation would stimulate and record a short data 'sweep', then wait for the (biological) system to recover, then stimulate and record another short sweep, and repeat. I need all the recorded sweeps to align accurately so that they can be averaged and analyzed conveniently.
I definitely do not want my customers to rely on an expensive external TTL pulse generator to initiate and synchronize each 'sweep'. That would effectively eliminate the cost advantage of an NI board, as well as adding unnecessary complexity in setup and use. It would be a show-stopper for me.
It seems perverse, but would it be possible to use a digital output channel connected directly to a digital input chanel to trigger the input and output streams?

Different output observed in IE8 and IE11 for same HTML file

I want to display a white block in the image. but when run in IE8 the white block appears bigger as compared to when displayed in IE11.

Same script gets different results ,just as Greg said this may be related to the different rendering pages methods between different Internet Explorer versions.

Your VI looks like you started from an example, and you are on the right track.
To clarify are you trying to synchronize the input and the output waveforms? If you you will need to share a time base and a start trigger. Check out the synchronization examples from LabVIEW

Acrobat DC and XI different Output preview; same setting on the same machine

Hello,
I've got an question regarding Output preview
My sample PDF does have different output preview values on Acrobat DC (100% Black) and Acrobat XI (CMYK values)
Both use the same setting (Euroscale Coated v2), doc has no PDF/X output intent
Still..... it's strange that on one Mac the PDF does look different....
What's going wrong?

Numerous fixes went into color display on MacOS for Acrobat DC as well as in Output Preview in general. That having been said, I don't recall any changes that would have resulted in the phenomena you are seeing.
I assume you were clicking on the “black” circle to get you sample color values? And what do you believe should be the correct values? CMYK=(0,0,0,1) or CMYK=(0.8,0.64,0.67,0.75)?
If you can post a copy of this file, we can examine it to see what is going on.

You can create different out put types for the same PO, in case you need different layouts that is different forms like MEDRUCK. Please refer below link to create out types . We have a catalog that defines 2 types of products (they have too many different properties), so wanted to keep them on two different MDEX engines and serve the applications requests. Here DB catalog and front end ATG application is same for both the MDEX instances.
Is it possible to have 2 different output config XML files and index the data into 2 endeca apps using the same indexing component ProductCatalogSimpleIndexingAdmin?

Hi, also have had some problem some monthes ago - I created separete component ProductCatalogSimpleIndexingAdminSecond. After that one of my colleage gave me some advice:
The creating separate component like ProductCatalogSimpleIndexingAdmin for the second IOC is possible way for resolving your situation. But I afraid that this way will be required creating mane duplicates for already existed components.
In my opinion the better way is the following:
starting from AssemblerApplicationConfiguration and ApplicationConfiguration component. It contains details for connecting between ATG and Endeca. Of course you should configure different components for different Endeca Apps.
After that:
Find all components that uses AssemblerApplicationConfiguration and ApplicationConfiguration. Customize these components for using one or another *Configuration component depending on what index works. (many variants released it: the most simple global custom component with flag.)
Then customize the existed ProductCatalogSimpleIndexingAdmin. Using one or another IOC and setting the flag in global custom component when index started. You can add some methods into your custom ProductCatalogSimpleIndexingAdmin like:
Execute baseline index for both IOC (one by one)
Execute baseline for IOC 1
Execute baseline for IOC 2.
Note: you should be afraid about incremental (partial) index in this configuration. But resolving conflicts in incremental index should be done after full implementation these changes.
