NativeProcess ok in debug but not in build [shocked]

Hey,...
here is my trouble,...
i work with native process
everything is alrigth in de debug mode in the flex IDE
but when i run the .air the native process don't start,...
here the code for the native process,...
var file:File = File.documentsDirectory;
                            //file = file.resolvePath("YTplayeurSEUL");
                            file = file.resolvePath("YTplayeurSEUL/YTplayeurSEUL.exe");
                            var nativeProcessStartupInfo:NativeProcessStartupInfo = new NativeProcessStartupInfo();
                            nativeProcessStartupInfo.executable = file;
                            var args:Vector.<String> = new Vector.<String>();
                            args.push("1dp2Wx06m3E");
                            nativeProcessStartupInfo.arguments = args;
                            var process = new NativeProcess();
                            process.start(nativeProcessStartupInfo);
i dont understand what is wrong,...???
i have tried a lot things but with no success,...
in the debug all is OK
but with the build NOTHING
what is the porblem,...???
can you help me,... ?
thansk for you comprehension,...

Hey ,...
first thanks for your intervention,...
i was worked on this project more then 1 year ago,....
so
so i have restart...
actually
i have use Package Assistant Pro from serge jespers
here
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/117996/applications/AIR2/PackageAssistantPro_v041.zip
to use with air 2 not actually 2.6
so i have recompiled the .exe with this using air 2 not 2.6
so i have recompiled too my project that it was made in 2.6
i recompiled it in 2.0
But in the debug is OK but not in the Build,...
any idea?.....

  • Network Stream On PXI W/RTOS works in debug but not deployed

    I have a new problem, recently my network streams have decided to not work.
    I have a PXI with a 8102 controller running the NI RTOS, If I run the program on the PXI from in the development environment they work as expected, however if I build the exe and run as startup the communicating program times out, the target (PXI) is unresponsive.
    This has work previously, we had a power outage and I had to re-format the PXI HD and re-install the RTOS, I do believe it is back to the original state before the power issue software wise, but as stated my network streams seem to be unresponsive as an app
    Networks Streams 1.1 loaded according to MAX
    any ideas?  The fact that it work like a champ in debug, but not as an exe is very frustrating, especially since it was all working beautifully before the power outage.
    oh yeah, using REAL-TIME 11.0.1 and labview 2011 SP1
    TIA

    The Sub VI is setting up and controlling the 2536 Switch and 6133 capture cards based on the command recieved by the Vi from the host program.
    It also talks with the 7811
    I thought that I was using slot numbers to reference the cards before the corruption, but now it is device numbers,.
    I was playing around in MAX and it caused labview to crash if I tried to view the block diagram of the subvi.
    I changed everything back in MAX and now the App is running - that is I can now establish a network stream with it and comunicate with the 7811, my data captures however seems to not be working and cause the PXI to go off in the weeds, the CPU loads go up and stay up and I can't re-establish the network streams without a reboot.
    I just took a look at MAX while the PXI is in lala land, it has little red x's next to the 6133's and 2536

  • Chapter buttons work fine in preview but not in build

    Hi,
    I am using video as a back ground and overlaying buttons that highlight when selected. The button routing is fine, default button set up, no overrides and it works fine in preview, however when I build it to disk no buttons are highlighted, cannot navigate or select any chapters. I deleted the menu are recreated it but same problem, anybody have any ideas?,
    Regards,
    Colin Browne - Irish Video Productions

    Irish Video wrote:
    thanks for your help. The problem was with the aspect ratio of the menu and the background video. Even though it is a 16:9 project the only way I could get it to work was to export the background video again in 4:3, change the menu aspect and re-position the buttons.
    Hmmm.  If there is a mismatch between menu, video and project PARs, it's possible that things got moved around enough during transcoding to make the close-but-not-overlapping button hit areas actually overlap when the project was built.  The fact that repositioning the buttons and adjusting PAR fixed the problem is the biggest clue, IMHO.
    At least that's my theory...
    Regardless, thanks for posting back with your solution!

  • Office deploy to users in Building (A) but not in Building (B)!

    We're trying to deploy Office to 60 users, some are in building
    A and some are in building B, both are on our network (One Domain) and they can access all of our share folders and our Group
    Policy is applied for both, they can ping each other, when we deploy office all of the Users/Computers in building
    A gets the upgrade which is uninstalling old version of Office and install Office 2010 32bit, but none in building B gets
    the upgrade, already checked building B Users/Computers they can see the Office_Deployment
    share and they can read and write, already checked the Resultant Set of Policy
    on some Computers in building B,
    I can see that the Policy is applied and the
    office.bat file is in the startup folder,
    but still nothing is installing for all users in building B?
    The building B is connected to Building A by a Fiber
    Optic and they have very fast internet.
    Both building have same Subnet, Gateway.
    Any idea why?

    I did run the Script manually .. Not running,
    I started the setup.exe manually ..  installed fine!
    FYI ..  I was wrong .. some computers in building B got the upgrade fine.
    Maybe a Firewall Rules?, I verified that the Firewall is OFF .. but maybe I need to change someting in the Inbound or Outbound Rules?

  • Memory leak while debugging but not in release version

    I have an Adobe AIR application that must load and unload multiple external swfs, and it must run for hours.
    I had an issue where there was a memory leak. I tried all kinds of fixes, including rolling back SDKs and Adobe Runtime,
    but every time I tested in Flashbuilder, the memory would climb, and with each unload a FlexLoader would stay in memory.
    Finally I tried creating a release build, and low and behold the memory did not climb. It stayed the same even under stress testing.
    So evidently, the memory leak had to do with debug version, and once it was a release version, the leak disappeared.

    UPDATE: The problem was with the external swfs being loaded into the main application.
    If I compiled them in debug, they leaked. In release version they did not.

  • Works fine in debug but not when published

    So I have simple navigation code setup to step through frames (I'm using Flash instead PowerPoint--too many pictures that are PSDs and illustrations that are AIs to do the conversions over to something PowerPoint understands).
    The code:
    stop();
    stage.addEventListener(KeyboardEvent.KEY_DOWN, slideNav);
    function slideNav(event:KeyboardEvent):void
    switch (event.keyCode)
      case Keyboard.DOWN:
       nextFrame();
       break;
      case Keyboard.UP:
       prevFrame();
       break;
      case Keyboard.HOME:
       gotoAndStop(1);
       break;
      case Keyboard.END:
       gotoAndStop(this.totalFrames);
       break;
    When I test it using the debug (Ctrl+Shift+Enter) it works fine.  When I publish it, the up and down arrows work but the Home and End keys do not work.  They do nothing, no error messages, nothing.
    Using Flash CS4 Pro 10.0.2.  ActionScript 3.  Windows 7 64-bit.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks.

    Nevermind.  That was stupid of me.  Have to disable the keyboard shortcuts or it doesn't work.

       }Any thoughts on either:
    1. How does this pass the compiler validation inside eclipse, even through 'R' has not been defined? I believe that the code is doing some sort of return type inference to return the exactly correct type of list as referred by the return result or else it is simply ignoring the invariant capture of R all together and silently dropping the error. The funny thing is that the code does work just fine in practice in my development system without an issue.
    or
    2. Why if the code is valid does the independent build system disallow this generic return type 'inference' to occur? Are there compiler flags I can use to withhold this special condition?

    Thanks for the response, I wasn't trying to show a full example but just my implementation's snippet. I'll list one now:

    I'm assuming SI_ID=716 is the Inbox where you're sending the objects.
    The issue is that you're not clicking the "Step Over" button fast enough when debugging.  If you click really fast, then you'll get the same issue.
    Workaround for the non-debug case is to count the number of objects you're sending, then when moving, loop till the InfoStore query retrieves the correct number of objects.
    You're not giving enough time for the Destination Job Server to send the objects to the Inbox - they're not there yet.
    Sincerely,
    Ted Ueda
    Edit:  I see you've identified the issue as well - note that the CMS job scheduling thread triggering interval isn't under programmatic control, so I'd still recommend loop-count-wait workflow.

  • EncryptedLocalStore... works in debug, but not when compiled.

    Okay, so I looked around the forum and saw a couple of people with this same problem, but their solutions didn't seem to help me. I don't know if it's because I didn't understand them, or what.
    Here's my problem.
    I've written a nifty little AIR app (AIR 1.5), using Aptana, JavaScript (jQuery) and HTML. The app works perfectly when run from the debugger inside of Aptana.
    However, when I deploy the application (sign it with my self-signed certificate, etc.) and then install it, all of the ELS functionality ceases to work.
    I'm obviously not the first person this has happened to, but I don't know what it is that I'm doing wrong.
    If it helps, here is the code for my DataStoreManager:
    var DataStoreManager = function(){
         return{
              __insert: function(key, data){
                    * function to insert data into the local encrypted datastore
                    * @author: Chris Jordan
                    * @date: 03/22/2010
                    * @param: key - the key to save the data to in the encrypted store.
                    * NOTE:
                    *  This now relys on the global AppConfig object rather than any passed in values.
                   var my = {};
                   //serialize the AppConfig object
                   my.serializedAppConfig = jQuery.toJSON(data);
                   my.byteArray = new air.ByteArray();
                   my.byteArray.writeUTFBytes(my.serializedAppConfig);
                   air.EncryptedLocalStore.setItem(key, my.byteArray);
                   em.dispatchEvent("DataStorageComplete");

    BTW, is there a better way to insert code snippets into a forum post? I just manually edited the html to make it a bit nicer to look at. Anyway, that aside, I'm hoping that someone can help me with my real issue.
    Thanks!

    Okay, so I switched from using the ELS to just writing my serialized string out to a file. This didn't fix my problem though. The app still behaves the same way. Only now, I can monitor that file that I'm writing the serialized string to, for changes and I learned something by doing this.
    My app has a config screen that gathers three pieces of information and stores it. So the user opens this screen, adds the data, and clicks save to write the data to a file, and close the window. So the end result of clicking save is that the config window closes (after having written the data to file).
    When I export the app and run it, I add some data and click save, but the window doesn't close. I can, at that point look at the config file and see that the data has indeed been serialized and written to the file. It just appears that the screen hasn't closed. So, I click save again (what else am I going to do?). This time the window closes, but an empty string has been written out to the file replacing the config string I had out there to begin with!
    So when I saw this behavior I immediately thought that maybe I had a timing issue. I should probably explain that I'm using jQuery (.bind and .trigger) to implement the observer pattern in this app. So, when I click the "Save" button, an event gets dispatched telling the app to write the data down to the disk. When that's done the function that is doing the writing announces that it's done saving, and in response to that announcement I dispatch two other events. One to close the config window, and one that rebuilds a menu using the new config data. These last two events should be mutually exclusive. They don't depend on each other. But just in case, I have tried just dispatching the close window event, and commenting out the rebuild menu event. That didn't help at all.
    So, like I said, maybe I've got some kind of timing issue here. So I took my dispatchEvent function and wrapped it in a timer.
    //the way my dispatchEvent function used to look (without the timer)
    var em = function(){
        return {
            dispatchEvent: function(e, o){
                jQuery(document).trigger(e,[ o || null ]);
    //new and improved function with a timer...
    var em = function(){
        return {
            dispatchEvent: function(e,o){
                var my = {};
                my.timeout = setTimeout(function(){
                    jQuery(document).trigger(e,[ o || null ]);
                },100);
    However, for all this... the timer didn't change things at all. I tried 100 milliseconds and 500 milliseconds. No difference. So, maybe it's not a timing issue... I don't know.
    This is really bugging the crap out of me. I'm doing something wrong I guess, but I can't seem to figure out for the life of me, what the hell it is! Maybe I've just been staring at the code too much, but I could really use a hand. Has anyone else ever encountered this kind of thing before?
    I'm starting to wonder what sort of apps have been written for the AIR platform using JavaScript. Is this happening because of the way I'm implementing the observer pattern or what? I know that last one would be difficult to answer without having all my code to look at, but I'm not beyond thinking that I've just done something wrong on that front.
    BUT...
    It works PERFECTLY when being run from within the IDE (again, that's Aptana in this case).
    What gives?
    Thanks for reading. I hope someone out there can help me.

  • Working in Debug mode, not after building the installation.

    Hi,
    I have a button to launch a form.
    When I test it in debug mode, it works fine.
    But, after making installation, if I do the same thing (press the button), I'm getting the following error:
    Unexpected end of file while parsing name has occured. Line 1, position 2654.
    Also, we have few add-ons operating on sales order.
    When we open the sales order in client site through RDP, there is continuous flickering/refresh.
    In in-house, we don't get that problem.
    Please help me with this.
    These are very critical issues for my release.
    Thank you in advance.
    Regards,
    Geetha

    Hi Geetha,
    1.) button problem:
    i don't know how you open the form - when you do it with a XML file maybe you packed the wrong XML file into your addon installer.
    2.) the flickering can be a problem of formatted searches or interacting with other addons.
    when addon a. changes a field it can be that addon b. does something because of the event from addon a.
    the same can happen when you have formatted searches that do something when a field changes.
    ok - that are my last tipps for this day
    good night

  • Audio plays in Simulate but not after Build

    Hi,
    I'm using DVDSP 4.1.2 to author a DVD on a G5. I sent a review copy to my client about a month ago and everything was approved, but now they need another copy and when I build and burn the DVD some of the audio tracks don't play. They are dolby ac3 files that were compressed with Compressor. Everything works fine in simulate. I'm at my wits end, since I made no changes. I've tried deleting prefs, recompressing the ac3 files, and saving the project as a new project. No luck.
    Unfortunately we can't get the approved disc back to make copies.
    Any ideas or suggestions?
    Thanks.
    G5   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

    I seem to be having the same problem.
    I'm attempting to create an SD DVD on an Intel Core Duo iMac using DVDSP 4.1.2 also, and some of my ac3 files are failing to play when I emulate or burn the project.
    Besides this audio error, the video clips accompanying the non-working audio files freeze after around 12 seconds, while the elapsed track time continues. I have no idea why only some of the files are affected as they were all encoded identically using Compressor.
    I'm in Australia so my video files are PAL formatted, but I'm sure that shouldn't make a difference where this type of error is concerned.
    Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
    Cheers.

  • Encode Failed exporting to DVD but not Blu-Ray

    I'm using Dynamic Link and tried both pushing from PPro and pulling from Encore, when building DVD I get Encode Failed, but when building Blu-Ray no problems. I really need a DVD version of this, any ideas?

    Did you transcode before building? If not, try that.
    If that does not work, export from Premiere as MPEG2-DVD, and import the resulting m2v/wav files as timeline. In other words, skip the dynamic link since you are having a problem.
    Yes, you will have to calculate the bitrate. If you are able to transcode the dynamic link, but not to build, you can look at the properties of the transcoded file, and match that on export from Premiere. Or use a bitrate calculator, such as:

  • Flex mobile 4.6 app works inside flash builder but not in android emulator

    Originally posted on stackoverflow: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/8663892/flex-mobile-4-6-app-works-inside-flash-builder- but-not-in-android-emulator
    I have a basic flex mobile 4.6 app and it works fully fine in the flash builder built-in emulator using an android device profile like aria...
    It also launches fine in the android emulator but one particular view shows blank (and this view works fine in flash builder).
    Before I get in to many details of the view are there any categorical gotchas that can be causing this?
    I can't seem to get the trace statements from the app to show in 'adb logcat'. It seems I need to compile a debug version of the apk but I don't know how to do this. I use the 'Export Release Build' from the Project menu in flash builder and it doesn't seem to have an option for debug=true.
    The problematic/blank view basically uses the stagewebview and iotashan's oauth library to call linkedin rest apis... A different (and working) view can make restful web service calls in the emulator fine, so it doesn't seem to be an internet permission.
    The source code contained in the problematic/blank view is almost identical to the tutorial found at:http://www.riagora.com/2011/01/air-and-linkedin/
    The differences are: a) The root tag is a View b) I use StageWebView instead of HtmlContainer c) I use my own linkedin key and tokens.
    I would appreciate it if someone can provide me with some pointers on how to troubleshoot this situation. Perhaps someone can tell me how to debug the app while running in the emulator (I think I need the correct adt command arguments for this which matches the 'Export Release Build' menu but adds the debug param?)
    Thanks for your help in advance.
    Comment Added:
    I suspect that this has to do with connections to https:// api.linkedin.com and https:// www.linkedin.com. The only reason I can think of that the same code is not having issues inside of Flex Builder but indeed having issues in the Android emulator is something to do with certificates. Any ideas?

    Thanks er453r,
    I have created a project that clearly reproduces the bug.  Here are the steps:
    1) Create a UrlLoader and point it to https://www.google.com (HTTPS is important because http works but HTTPS does not)
    2) Load it
    3) Run in Flash Builder 4.6/Air 3.1 and then run in Android emulator.  The former works with an http status 200.  The latter gives you an ioerror 2032.  I am assuming what works in Flash Builder is supposed to work in the Android Emulator and what what works in the emulator is supposed to work in a physical device (plus or minus boundary conditions).
    I see a certificate exception in adb logcat but not sure if it's related...
    Here is the self contained View code which works with a TabbedViewNavigatorApplication:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>

  • Oracle connection works in VB debug mode but not in EXE

    I have a small VB 6 app that writes to an oracle database on a unix server. Oracle 10g is installed on my pc. System DSN is set up in ODBC and corresponds to an entry in the tnsnames.ora file (to the best of my limited oracle knowledge..)
    The connection to the database works fine in debug bug. Test Connection of that DSN works as well. But when I build and execute the EXE file it returns : "TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specified"
    What is different about the process of running an EXE that could cause this failure?

    I am having the exact same problem. What could be the difference in the way the debugger in VB handles DAO calls to an Oracle database in debug mode?!?!?

  • LabWindows DLL crash in Release, but not Debug

    My LabWindows 2012 CVI application crashes when executing DLL function in Release 64 mode, but not Debug 64 mode.  The 64-bit DLL was created in Matlab, and executes Matlab functionality.
    The Just In Time debugger comes up right when the DLL function has finished executing.  If I link the process to LabWindows I get the following error:
    A non-debuggable thread caused a 'General Protection' fault at address
     Any ideas?

    Hi softengr,
    I would recommend determining whether this problem occurs because of the difference in speed between the debug and release modes of LabWindows/CVI.  To do this, reduce the number of debug options by navigating to Options » Build Options..., and select No run-time checking for the Debugging level.  You can also disable some features from the Environment options dialog by unchecking features in the Debug section (Options » Environment...).
    You can also try to change the parameters of the Release build by changing parameters in the Build options.
    Are you doing any dynamic memory management inside your DLL?  Are you able to troubleshoot your DLL to find a specific line which causes this crash?
    Any additional information about how you are calling your DLL, whether your DLL calls functions asynchronously, etc. would be very helpful and appreciated.
