Navigation Handling does not work !!!!

hi every body
i have two pages Login.jsp and page1.jsp, i want to prevent direct access to page1.jsp unless the user first go to login page and redirected to page1.jsp.. so if the user paste the pathe of page1.jsp immedatily , the application will redirect him to login page.
i used the following code in pre-render method:
FacesContext context=FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
Application application=context.getApplication();
NavigationHandler navigator=application.getNavigationHandler();
navigator.handleNavigation(context,null, "insecure");-----
but unfortunately it does not work ,
can any one please help me ?

Dude,
Why not use a filter? It will save you having to add code to every page that requires a user to be logged in.
Try http://securityfilter.sourceforge.net/ for something comprehensive. Or if you just want something that just intercepts a request and checks if a user is logged in (e.g. if the username property in SessionBean1 is set) and redirects the user to the login page if not... it's pretty easy if you've worked with filters before.
Try it out and ask again if you want pointers.

PDF Preview Handler does not work

Hello,
We installed Outlook 2010 on a new Windows 7 32bit machine with Acrobat Reader X.
The preview handler for PDF files does not work in Outlook 2010. Reader works fine by itself.
If I uninstall Reader X and install verison 9.3 then the Preview Handler works fine. Any suggestioers? I have run the repoair on Office and reinstalled Reader X again but to no avail.

No i didnt check for office updates.. however i did locate a fix. I am not usually keen to try random fixes so i tested it solo first to confirm it was legitimate. worked fine. http://www.pretentiousname.com/adobe_pdf_x64_fix/

Navigation bar does not work properly in CS3

The navigation bar shows only the up and the over pictures in
all browsers. It works properly in a framed site, showing all 4
different pictures. But not in the css-layout based site with files
from the same template, which show all in the same window. Does
anyone know where this problem comes from?

1. They are difficult for inexperienced users to get right -
a) pages will not align properly if one of them throws
scrollbars
b) links will not work when targeted into different frames
without
hand-modification of code
c) new (and inexperienced users) have problems with the idea
of a single
frameset page that only specifies constituent frames
d) new (and inexperienced users) can be confused by the fact
that the
<title> tag on the frameset page is the one that
appears in the browser
e) etc., etc., etc.
2. They are difficult for your visitors
a) depending on how savvy you are, you may have removed
scrollbars to
'fix' #1b, not thinking that you have also removed those
scrollbars for
people with smaller viewports
b) search engines will index *all* pages within your
frameset, meaning
that a navigation frame or a content only page MAY be shown
in a search hit
list - imagine the confusion when the page is loaded without

With js rollovers it's only *easy* to achieve the up and the
over states.
With CSS rollovers, you can achieve up, over, over while
down, and down.

Windows XP file/folder handling does not work? (RSP Rules!)

Sorry if this has been asked many times before, but a forum search on "folder" does not return anything ??? (amazing)
I am trying to make sense out of where and when to use folders and collections and I wish there would be more info in the help/manual.
Lesson learned so far: you can spend an awful lot of time flagging images as rejected and then delete them from a quick collection, only to find out that they are only removed from the (logical) quick collection, not from the (physical) folder on the file system. @!x$
Now, it seams that any folder action does either not work at all or only works partially:
- I cannot import an empty folder, to put images in later
- I cannot drag and drop more than one file at a time to a folder
- When I create a new folder, I never get to see it or name it in Lightroom. It gets created on the file system however, as "new folder (x)".
Why are there no settings under "preference" where to put libraries, back-ups of libraries, which library to use at startup, where and how to create/store previews and their lifetime and so on?
Also, there should be a much more convenient way in the handling of multiple computers and creating/restoring backups!
Reading some of the endless complaints about file corruptions and file losses, I think I will return to RawShooter Premium untill I finally get the feeling that my images and the work on them are safe within Lightroom. RSP is also WAY more snappy and responsive (except for the slide show)!

Jeff: You truly offered some amazing insight here! I really thought that Adobe bought Pixmantec for their technology and for the wizzards that drove that technology. Now you made it clear that all that is limited to "inspiration". Wow! So, why DID Adobe buy Pixmantec? Market share? Take the most brilliant and cheap competitor off the market? Some other reason???
Apart from that: I DO know that writing software is not easy. It must be really unpleasant for the hard working "scary brilliant" experts with a serious track history to hear people complain about issues like file handling on a particular operating system instead of admiring their brilliant ideas and concepts.
Alas, this is life: if you would buy a car you would bring it back to the garage to complain about the lock in the trunk that opens at awkward times leading you to loose your groceries instead of talking to those people about how magnificent that particular car takes you trough corners at 100 mph.
And I still believe that the RSP folks did a better job with their version 1 than Adobe did with LR, knowing that Lightroom is more complicated than RSP and taking into consideration that the Adobe people have a much longer history and experience with Photoshop/Album/Bridge. So I would say Adobe can learn a lot from the RSP boys. Just do it!
Tim: as I'm planning to move from RSP to LR (maybe wait until 1.1), the most important starting information I'm looking for right now is how to set up my filesystem and the LR database for the most efficient way of working and for the "most" data security. Neither the LuLa tutorial nor the help file/manual seem to offer much information on this -I believe extremely important- topic.
All this aside from what seems like Windows file handling bugs to me, hopefully adressed in version 1.1

My setting have changed: location in navigation toolbar does not work; there is no firefox safe mode in folder

Something has changed in my settings. If I have the navigation toolbar, my page extends all the way across the screen and I can not see the right hand part. There is nothing in location and I can not enter anything in it. I just get a message that page does no exist when I try. I can not start firefox in the safe mode as it does not exist in my folder. and there is no folder containing my localstore.rdf.

I'm using IE8 to view the help as this is our target but I've also tested with Firefox 3.6.8. The behaviour remains the same in all cases.
In addition I have tested the same System Administrator help module:
while resident on my C:\
while resident on a shared networked drive (inside and outside of my network domain); and
while hosted on a SharePoint server.
I spotted this problem while testing our upgrade from RH7 to RH9 but I've since tested earlier versions of the deliverables and found that the problem was there when we were using RH7; we simply missed it .

Navigation Handler is not working in jspx page..

In one.jspx page a scriptlet is written to forward the page to error.jspx. But it is not working. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I have an urgent issue with www.ForexProFund.com and it's navigation bar links. For some reason only some of the links work in the navigation bar. I have tried and recreated new pages and moved all the content over to the new pages with no luck. I moved the nav bar to the most "forward" position and pushed everything else to the back so it's on the top for sure. You can see that on the "contact" page, the navigation bar does not work, and I have no idea why...it's the same on the "Open Account" page.
I really need this fixed, as I am sure many of you do.

Can you tell me how to "reduce" these things? I am not sure why some links in the nav bar and others do not...maybe I am doing something wrong? Very frustrating since Mac. does not let you simply setup a nav bar....it all has to be template based and then these types of things happen. Either way, if you have details of how to remedy this, please let me know. I tried to remove the line under the nav bar on the first two pages and still no luck.

Ipod 4g does not work with gps mount anymore, with iOS lower than 6.0.1 it worked

After updating my iPod to iOS 6.0.1 and 6.1 my gps mount does not work anymore. It used to work perfectly.
Have checked with a TomTom app if satelites are connected and it has good connection but navigation app does not work.
All advices given in the community did not help so far.

Popups: Navigation from view to window does not work

Hi,
I open a second window as popup. This window has 2 views embedded, displaying view1 first. On some actions I would like to navigate to view2.
Defining an outbound plug on view1 and an inbound plug on view2, connecting them and firing the outbound withith the onaction works absolutely fine.
However, for some reasons I would like to avoid a direct navigation, but would like to navigate from view1 to the popupo window and from there to view2 (or maybe another view, ofcourse also embedded in the same popup window). Unfortunately I fail on this scenario - I can fire the view-to-window plug, but the destination on the window side (handle in method) is never reached.
Since the same concept works fine on non-popup windows I wonder whether a navigation from view to embedded window does not work for popups?

no, just one window.
The first link is view1 -> window, the second window -> view2.
I.e., I fire in the view the outbound plug, which is connected with its window.
In the window I fire an outbound plug, which is connected to view2.
In theory this should work - for non-popup windows I do not have any problem at all, however, for popup windows the navigation from view1 to the window is not processed.
In the meantime I played a little bit further: Instead of firing a navigation from view1, I now fire an event defined in the component contoller, on which an event method is registered within the window. Doing so, I reach the window, which I didn't reach via the navigation link. Once in the window, firing to view2 works just fine ...
Hope the issue is a bit clearer now. Also I found a solution, I am surprised that the simpler way via navigation does not work.

Spry Navigation does not work in IE version 6

I have a simple spry navigation bar at the top of website that works in all the browsers I tested it in, ie IE ver 7 and 8, Mozilla Firefox (all versions), Netscape (all versions), and Safari. The only one I can't it to work in is IE version 6. Does anyone know how to fix this?
I am attaching a copy of both browsers, one that does not work and one that does.

Vista PDF Preview handler installed on Win 7 32 bit does not work.

There is no discoverable information regarding failure to preview Adobe PDF files on Win 7 32 bit. The advice for 64 bit does not work. Adobe continues to install the Vista preview handler on my Windows 7 computer, which I suspect is the issue. Is there any way to find and install the Windows 7 32 bit handler or is there a registry hack that permits 11 to access the vista version or what? This is a repeat post, as I cannot locate the first and assume that there have been no responses, as I have received no alerts.
If you have an answer I will name my first born for you. He is 41 and object loudly, but no price to great.....

Trackpad browser navigation does not work anymore.

I've just noticed that I cannot navigate in the browser anymore with the trackpad... forward and backwards does not work anymore...
I've attached the new Mighty Mouse yesterday and installed the 10.6.2 update today.
Was sitting on the couch and noticed that it does not work anymore. Checked the
prefs of the Trackpad and ticked/unticked the box, however to no avail.
Anybody else noticed this problem or does anybody knows how to fix it???

Only posted values for Navigation does not work

I have a problem where all master data is shown in the input help for a variable, even when the setting for the info object is to show only posted values.
In a WEB template I have tree reports using tree different data providers. The setting in the web template is to show the same variable only once and that works. The setting of the info objects is to show only posted values. That does not work!
When using the input help for a variable, all master data shows, not only the poster values in the data providers.
When unchecking the setting Display Same Variable Only Once (MELT_VARBLES) the variables appears tree times each and the input help works as expected. It shows only posted values.
Any experience of this?

Hi Kent,
If you build several queries on different infoproviders, then put them into one web template or workbook. Variables from different queries with the same technical name will get merged in variable screen (Set parameter MERGE_VARIABLES=True in web template property. Set "Display Duplicated Variables Only Once" in workbook settings for variables).
This means, that it is not possible to decide which infoprovider the variable is based on. The provider is unknown to the system when doing F4 help so that D mode is not possible since D mode [Only Values in InfoProvider] is also infoprovider dependent. So only M mode ['Values in Master Data Table'] is possible.
In such merge variable situation, the authorizated values in F4 help is also retrieved without specific infoprovider.
