NB Purchase Order instead of STO

We'd like to use a NB purchase order with vendor in order move finished goods from one plant in a company code to another plant under a different company, we need to use the NB PO with a vendor to record the dollars and charge. The only item I'm stuck on is auto assigning a specific plant and storage location to the material on the PO that carries over to the NLCC delivery, so far the storage location is plant when I create the NLCC delivery. Can somebody clue me in on where to maintain the vendor/plant/storage location data, when I use vendor 300XXX I want it to fill from a particular plant and storage location.

Basic settings for STO process:
1.Maintain the shipping data for plants
>Materials Management - Purchasing - Purchase Order - Set Up Stock Transport Order - Define Shipping Data for Plants
>Here you maintain the customer number of the receiving plant (XD01). This customer number is used in SD shipping processing to identify the GR (ship-to party) if provision has been made in Customizing for a stock transfer to be carried out with an SD delivery.
>Assign Sales Area to the plant.
2.Specify whether an SD delivery is to be created in the case of a PO
>Materials Management - Purchasing - Purchase Order - Set Up Stock Transport Order - Assign Delivery Type and Checking Rule
3.Assign Doc type to supp. and recv. plants
>Materials Management - Purchasing - Purchase Order - Set Up Stock Transport Order - Assign Document Type, One-Step Procedure, Underdelivery Tolerance

                        In Extended Classic Scenario we are using SRM 5.0 and ECC 6.0. we need to create only Purchase Order rather then Purchase Requisition. this is given as the development enhancement. can anyone of you tell me the procedure to go about this requirement.
    In the following step : " Go to SRM --> SRM Server --> Cross Application Settings --> Define Objects in Backend System --> go to external procurement and select the function from the drop down box", it says "purchase order if item data is complete, otherwise Purchase Requsition.
    So i am not sure that this will fulfill my requirement. need some help from you guys.

    I have gone through your query. It says you are working in Extended classic scenario.
    If you want to create a P.O directly after creating a shopping cart in SRM, maintain the following settings
    SPRO > IMG > SRM > SRM Server > SOURCING > Define sourcing for product categories
    In that maintain category I.D, Source system and Sourcing never carried out in sourcing tab.
    After maintaining these settings, once you create a shopping cart and assign a vendor in the shopping cart it will directly create a P.O instead of going to sourcing **** pit.
    In case if you don't assign any vendor in Shopping cart it will still create a P.O but kept in held status. The P.O gets released once you assign a vendor.
    In case you require further calrification feel free to ask.

  • Purchase order UOM in STO

    Hi,
    When i create PO, the order UOM is Rolll automatically. It is correct scenario. However, when I create STO with the same material, the order UOM is M. How can I make it as Roll which is not require to change manually. Pls advice. Thanks

    Create a info record in the receiving plant for material and vendor(supplying plant)
    Maintain the order unit as Roll in the info record.Then when you are creating a purchase order with the supllying plant and material, system will automatically copy the order unit from the info record.

    i have maintained all the settings for  sto  but when i am trying to pick that material its giving a error message saying that the PO does not contain anyitems  for stock transfer

    4.In Pricing procedure determination relevant to STO, assign document Pricing Procedure and customer pricing procedure appropriate for STO to get the pricing in the invoice.
    5.Maintain condition records for the relevant pricing condition.
    6. Some more setting for STO: Go to MM> Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up STO> define shipping data for plants > Go to Receiving plant >assign customer here & Supplying SA (for billing) to Receiving plant here
    7. Go to MM> Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up STO> define shipping data for plants > Go to Supplying plant and assign the sales area of receiving plant.

    Follow the below steps to to make STO between two plants ( different company codes).It is also called as Inter Company STO.....
    1)Create one Customer Master in XD01 with respect to Supplying Plant Sales Area and assign this Customer no with Receiving Plant in OLME->PO-> set up STO->Define shipping data for plant and for the supplying Plant assign the above sales area.( Make sure,In Customer Master,sales Area Tab: you are maintaining shipping condition)
    2) For Receiving Plant Pur. Org and Co.Code Combination create Vendor master in XK01 and in this vendor master assign the Supplying plant in Pur.Org.Data screen->Extras--> Add.Pur.data
    3) OLME->PO-> Set up STO------>For your supplying plant assign document type NB, Delivery type NLCC and Checking Rule RP
    4)then For your supplying Plant and receiving Plant assign Document type NB
    5)Make sure you are maintaining Sales View for the material at supplying Plant and in Sales /Gen plant Data view maintain Availability check, Loading group and Transportation group.
    6) In SPRo-->Logistics execution> Shipping->Basic shipping functions->Shipping point Determination>assign shipping points-> For your Loading group,Shipping Condition and Supplying plant combination,Assign shipping point
    these are the configuration settings you have to do in background.
    Then Create STO from Receing Plant in ME21N with document type NB.
    Based on that STO, Create Delivery in VL10B from supplying Plant
    Do PGI in VL02N from Supplying plant
    Do GR in MIGO at Receiving Plant keeping Outbound delivery as a ref. document.
    Now your STO bet. two plants belongs to diff. Co.Codes will be completed.
    2)Follow the below steps to to make STO between two plants belongs to same company codes).It is also called as Intera- Company STO.....**
    1)Create one Customer for Supplying Plant Sales area and assign this Customer no with Receiving Plant in OLME---> PO -
    > Set up STO -
    > define Shipping Data for plants. and maintain the same sales area in your Supplying plant.
    2) In OLME---> PO -
    > Set up STO.....for your Document Type: UB and Suppying plant Combination assign Del. Type NL and Checking rule RP
    3) In OLME---> PO -
    > Set up STO...for your Supplying Plant and Receiving Plant combination Maintain Doc. Type : UB
    Make sure you are maintaining Sales View for your Material at Supplying Plant.
    4) Maintain Shipping point at, SPRO----> Logistics Execution -
    > Shipping -
    > Basic Shipping Functions -
    > Shipping Point Determination for Plants.....there for your Loading group,Shipping Condition, Shipping Plant combination maintain Shipping plant..
    Now Create STO in ME21N with Doc.type: UB at Receiving Plant.
    Then Create Delivery in VL10B from Supplying Plant...
    Then Do PGI in VL02N from supplying Plant.
    Then do GR at Receiving Plant based on Outbound Delivery at Receiving Plant...

  • Miro Material documents instead of purchase orders

    Hi,
    I'm working with SAP/R3 release 4.7.
    I have this problem: in previous releases i had possibility to use transaction MIRO specifing document materials in details screen.
    Now I have the only possibility to specify purchase orders instead of material documents. I need to specify materials documents.
    I tried to use enhancement LFDCB001 but it looks not good to solve my issue.
    Have anybody any idea?

    Hi,
    Procurement Key for raw material should be = F (External procurement) at MRP view of Raw material. But if you have put as E (Internal Production) for raw material. That is the reason system generates the planned order instead of Pur Requisition.
    Note: I hope for your materuila Procurement Key would F would be grayed out so if you want to change it already our Expert Mr.Brakhmkar has replied to this queery.

  • Excise rate and value is not getting defaulted from the purchase order

    While capturing excise invoice , the excise rate and value is not getting defaulted from the purchase order and in Excise Item Tab BED,AED,ECS is Zero at both header as well as item level for only one material in STO process and if we are doing same process taking other material all things are coming perfectly and We are maintaining condition with respect to vendor,plant and material combination.Any input related to this will be helpfull and rewarded.

  • Validity start & end, in Purchase Order with limit

    Hi All,
    We are using  a model of SAP with one type of Purchase Order: we have created a new type of purchase order (ZFOA), that we use for all purchase orders.
    Now we want to use ZFOA also for Blanket Purchase Order, instead of the standard type proposed for this scope by SAP (FO).
    We have inserted Validity Start & Validiti End  as Optional Entry in Customizing.
    ( IMG - MM - Purchasing - Purchase Ordrer - Define Screen Layout at Document Level).
    We have inserted them as Optional Entries, and not as Required Entries, because they are Required only for Blanket Purchase Order. (and we use ZFOA for all ours types of Purchase Order)
    So i want to know if it's possible to connect the obligatory requirement of these two entries to:
    - ZFOA (type of Purchase Order)
    - B (Item category in Purchase Order)
    In this way:
    1) when i create a PO (ZFOA) without item category B --> Validity date & Validity End are not obligatory fields
    2) when i create a PO (ZFOA) with item category B ---> Validity date & Validity End are  obligatory !!

    Now i found in MM SAP Manual (SCM 520, Purchasing) a similar example, and it could seem possible:
    When creating a standard purchase order with the standard item category, the following field selection key is determined for the Material group field:
    • Field selection key ME21N (Create/Change Purchase Order transaction):
    The Material Group field is an optional field.
    • Field selection key AKTH(Create activity category):
    The Material Group field is an optional field.
    • Field selection key NBF (purchasing document type NB):
    The Material Group field is an optional field.
    • Field selection key PT0F (item category Standard):
    The Material Group field is a mandatory (required-entry) field.
    The combination of field selection keys ME21N, AKTH and NBF means that the field is an optional field. Because the Material Group field is defined as a mandatory field in the field selection key PT0F however, this means that the field requires an entry when a purchase order is being created.
    I have the same problem for Validity start field, but why if i do all of this things, the field remain not mandatory?

  • Conversion problem in PURCHASE ORDER

    Hi all,
       wrong conversion was done in Quantities/Weights tab of item overview during creation of Purchase Order,instead of putting order unit  " 1 tonne  = 1000kg" it was wrongly fix as "5 tonne = 4536kg",  the order has been receive and issue , but during stock taking this conversion problem is giving wrong Quantity for the material in MB5B . Pls what can i do to resolve this.

    1.Cancel material docuemt---MBST (Material document no and fiscial year)
    2.Delete the P.O line items --Me22n
    3.Enter the fresh line items in the same P.O
    If partial stock Exists then do the Physical inventory process to adjust the Stock

    1. Workflow for a PO can be seen from the navigation given below.
    Purchasning > Purchase Orders > Purchase Order Summary > Inquire (M) > View Approval through workflow.
    2. Use the Control Documents window to control requisitions and requisition lines as well as purchase orders, purchase order lines, releases, and shipments. For requisitions, the only available actions are Cancel and Finally Close. Only control options appropriate for the selected requisition or purchase order are displayed in the Actions field. The following control actions are available in this window:
    Cancel - If you use on-line requisitions, and you cancel a purchase order you did not receive or pay at all, Purchasing cancels the requisition lines associated with the purchase order if the Cancel Requisitions check box is selected. If the Cancel Requisitions check box is not selected, the requisition lines are not cancelled and are returned to the pool of available requisitions. You can then assign these requisition lines to new purchase orders to fulfill your requestors' needs. See: Defining Control Options.
    If you use on-line requisitions with quantity or amount based line types, and you cancel a partially received purchase order line, Purchasing recreates requisition lines for the remainder of the maximum of the billed or received quantity you have not received. You can assign these requisition lines to a new purchase order line to fulfill the requestor's needs. See: Autocreate Document Options.     After you partially or completely cancel a purchase order, you need to inform your supplier of the cancellation. You can communicate purchase orders or releases you partially or completely cancelled. Purchasing automatically inserts a cancellation message on the purchase order, purchase order line, purchase order shipment, or release you cancelled.
    You can source a requisition line from a line in the Prior Purchases region of the Supplier Item Catalog window. (A line in the Prior Purchases region corresponds to a purchase order line.) If you cancel a blanket agreement or agreement line, be sure to update the corresponding information in the Requisition Templates or the Sourcing Rules window. See: Defining Requisition Templates.     Close - You can close at the header, release, line, and shipment levels.
    Close for Invoicing - You can close for invoicing at the header, release, line, and shipment levels. This status will not prevent you from matching an invoice to the purchase order or to the receipt.

    Finally Close - You can final close at the header, release, line, and shipment levels. Purchasing automatically closes fully billed and received purchase orders. Also, if you are using encumbrance or budgetary control, Finally Close automatically creates credit encumbrance journal entries in your general ledger system to reverse the encumbrance that corresponds to the purchase order header, lines, or shipments you are closing, using the action date you specify in Action Date.     Freeze - You can freeze only at the header and release level. You freeze a purchase order when you want to prevent any future modifications to the purchase order. When you freeze a purchase order, you can still receive and pay for goods you already ordered. If you want to prevent future receipt or matching invoices against this purchase order, cancel or final close the purchase order instead.
    On Hold - You can place a purchase order on hold only at the header level. This unapproves the purchase order while preventing printing, receiving, invoicing, and future approval until you remove the hold.
    Open - You can open at the header, line, and shipment levels.
    Open for Invoicing - You can reopen for invoicing at the header, line, and shipment level.
    Open for Receiving - You can reopen for receiving at the header, line, and shipment level.
    Release Hold - You can release a hold only at the header level.
    Unfreeze - You can unfreeze only at the header and release levels.

  • STPO(Stock Transfer Purchase Order) urgent

    I am working on a report about open STPO. I need pick up the PO data both in header and items level. Such as PO No., doc. date, item No.,delivery schedule (item detail infomation), DN No., DN Qty etc.
    if one item has one schedule line, there is no problem to get the DN data(even more than one DN), but if there're two or more schedule lines within one item, I can't find the link between the schedule lines and DNs. I can't decide which DNs generated by schedule line1 and which DNs generated by schedule line2……
    I get some data of item schedule lines from table EKET. and pick some data from tables EKBE,LIPS……i don't know how to link up these two parts of data? Can anyone do me a favour?

  • Copy Pricing COnditions from Shipment Cost do to Purchase Order

    How can I copy all freight conditions on shipment cost document to the Purchase order created.
    e.g. In shipment cost document a\I have following pricing conditions.
    ZFRT - Freight - $250.00
    ZFCL-Fuel Chrg - $25
    ZCLN-Cleaning Chrg - $30
    Total = $305 on shipment cost
    When Purchase order is generated automatically.
    I want same conditions on Purchase order instead of gross amt PB00 of $305.
    How can we copy conditions from Shipment cost doc to the Purchase order??

    First of all I don't think that it is possible in the standard system. SAP only transfers the total cost of shipment to MM as you already found out.
    Actually, if I remember well, the cost condition is transfered to a service entry sheet assigned to the purchase order item for the service agent.

    Transfer and creation of the relevant documents in FI
    Transferring Shipment Costs to Accounting
    Transferring of shipment costs in order to create accruals comprises two functions:
    Procedure
       1. In the shipment cost document, go to the detail screen of a shipment cost item, for which costing and account assignment has already been carried out and which you want to transfer to FI.
       2. Select the Transfer indicator. ...
       3. Save the shipment cost document.
    When you save, the system creates a service entry sheet with reference to the purchase order determined, an accounting document for creation of accruals and further documents in FI.
    IMHO it is good enough to transfer the total cost of shipment. It is the amount needed for accrual, and used afterwards for logistics invoice verification based on the automatically generated service entry sheet.
    Why do you want more details in MM if you already have the detailed data in the Shipment cost document?
    It is not the answer you want, but I hope it helps anyway.

                                There is a setting  from the unit price of P/R onto the unit price of P/O.

  • Purchase Order Quantity appear as 1 instead of 0.222 in PO print preview

    Hello MM Enthusiasts,
    I have a PO with acct assgt – P (Network) where Purchase order quantity updated as 0.222 but if I click on PO print preview the quantity appear as 1 instead of 0.222.
    Please let me know what has gone wrong in my case.
    PS: When I look at my Output type by click on message in ME23N the traffic light was green and no issues observed here.

    Thanks for the response.
    This is a REAL issue.
    The purchase order has been created manually by user  with reference to purchase requisition.
    When I look at Purchase requisition in transaction ME53N it has been created for 0.222 quantity. Further to inform you that Purchase requisition has been created via network which is having the same quantity – 0.222.This I can verify it by executing transaction CJ20N.
    In this case Purchase order which has been created user manually and initially quantity has been entered as 0,224 later on date - 23.03.2014 another user has changed it to 0.222 which is as similar to Purchase requisition quantity.
    Please let us know via transaction OLME what needs to be checked.
