Need a Firefox script to loop through a set of web pages

Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone had come across a script for this purpose?
I need to power on a PC of mine, have it automatically start Firefox on startup (easy so far) then load a "loop" of predefined internal web pages that it keeps up on-screen for, say 5 seconds each webpage (5 pages in total that it would flick through)
Is it also possible to script or force Firefox to open in Full screen mode?

Add a for each script to loop through HTTPService?

I'm using Flash Builder 4 with the Flex 4.1 SDK. I want to add a "for each" script to loop through my HTTPService XML file so only each nepName displays only once in my dropdown list. In my XML file I have multiple records associated with nepName. I would like ALL the records associated with each nepName to populate in my datagrid when it is selected from the dropdown. Currently in my dropdown there is a nepName entry for each XML tag. I hope I was able to explain that well enough. I'll try to put my code below so you can see everything I'm working with.

Just read that the default memory storage on FF is set to 5 mbs. You can up that by clicking on tools, advanced and overriding the default and set it to 50 mbs (if you use lots of tabs) or 10 mbs (if you use just a few).
I open a blank tab and clear the cache periodically, while I am working. I can have several tabs open and watch videos on Youtube, by doing this. Have you cleared your cache?
Since I have an older computer, I've also used CCleaner for years. I use it often, but always before signing off. You can get it free...search for CCleaner, download from Pirifoam free. I didn't change any of the settings and it clears crap left behind from uninstalling programs, clears all browsers at once of: cookies, history, passwords, etc. I love it!
I had freezing, before using the "open blank tab, clear the cache" thing. Now I have no problems. Plus, as I said...you can change the default memory usage for FF and that should help too.

If you were using Apple's BootCamp and received this message, quit it and open Disk Uility in your Applicaitons/Utilities folder.
Select the Macintosh HD partition on the left and select Erase and Erase Free Space > Zero option and let it complete (important) this will check the spare space for bad sectors that can cause issues formatting partitions.
Once it's completed, try creating a partiton again in BootCamp.

This would occur if you had the drive or computer for a long time or wrote a large amount of files to the drive and nearly filling it up and then reduced some, but it left traces in the area BootCamp needs to go.

Since switching to Firefox 4 I'm unable to access a web page by pressing "Enter" after typing the url in the address bar; I now have to click on the bar; how do I change things so that I can go back to a keyboard shortcut?

Loop through result set and delete row

so here is what I need -
I have a query that pulls rows from the Database through a stored procedure.(these are properties in an area)
Before I start looping through the query, I need to check the distance between my current location and the property. If it less than 5 miles, only then should I display that property. The distance in miles will be chosen while submitting the search form.
So is there a way to delete rows from the result set based on the criteria? Or
Is there a better way to accomplish this? I am using the the google api to get the latitudes and longitudes. The other issue to keep in mind is the load time.

You can do this the easy way or the hard way. Depends on whether your condition that needs to be checked can be expressed in the form of a SQL where clause. If it can, then do what BKBK suggested, and use a query of query to create a new resultset that only has the rows from the original resultset that don't meet your condition.
If the calculation of the condition is more complex, then do a CFLOOP over the query and examine each row to see if you want to keep it or toss it. if you want to toss it, the delete that row - there is a function in CFLIB.ORG called querydeleterow that should help you. Or, you could just clear out the row's contents and then do the query of query as described in BKBK's post to create a new resultset that doesn't include the blank rows.

Looping through items in a web app

Where it reads Latest news, I have each news piece setup as a content holder with a piece of javascript looping through them.
I want to modify this to use Web apps so the client can add and remove items themselves and have them looping through as they do now.
Using a Webapp I have access to {module_webapps,20117,a} which lists out all the items and {module_webappscount,20117} which gives me a count of the number of items.
Can someone please give me some pointers on how to go about migrating from a content holder setup to using webapps.

Your first step should be to customize the web app item list layout to match how each item is rendered in the shared content holder. From there, you should recreate each news item as an individual web app items. Finally, replace the content holder with the web app item list module ( {module_webapps,20117,a} ). It appears that the script that is responsible for handling the looping can be found here and is not relying on any sort of fixed number to control the transitions. Instead, it simply is looking for any divs which have an id that begin with "content-" and fades them in & out in whatever order it finds them until it reaches the final item and then starts over.
Additionally, I would recommend adding some sort of incremental counter to your div id within your list template. Currently, the divs which contain each of the three news items share the same id attribute of "content-" which is not something you want.
Something like this in your list layout should do the trick:

Looping through result set

Hello, I am experience a heapdump while looping through a result set from a query I amr unning.
Our system creates an instance of a transfer object representing one row in the result set for each row as it loops through. The result set brings back 36000 rows, so it is creating 36000 objects. As a result, a heapdump is occurring. What can be done to fix this error?

even if it holds 360000 rows,
I still think [zadok] idea is a great idea.
you can get, for example first 1000 rows, cacluate it save result, and then get the next 1000 rows, is it make sense?
if you still want to get it by one time, extend your vm mem, normal setting is 64M(I am not sure)

Extra Space coming while looping through Hash Set in JSP: URGENT

I have to loop through the Hash Set in jsp, and display the contents with a comma seperated list.
I am able to display the values withing the set, however.. after every value,
i am getting an extra space and then a comma. How do i get rid of this extra space?

now I am want to populate has_csts, cst_present and cst_absent with data only for those dates which is present in selected_dates temp table(02-MAR-2012,03-MAR-2012,05-MAR-2012) and that too has_csts, cst_present and cst_absent will be populated with some condition (based on the values from procedure got from P1 and P2).
so want result set to look like

I am using Firefox 11 and I am unable to print web pages. I can print PDFs ok. I tried to open the prefs.js file to delete anything that starts with print and I get an error message.

When editing '''prefs.js''' you need to use a simple text editor program. WinXP Notepad messes up the line formatting of prefs.js, so I use Wordpad - but you need to save the edited file in a Text-Only format (Wordpad asks about that when you go to save the edited file). I never used Win7, so I don't know if that version of Notepad messes with the line formatting of prefs.js or not.
Another thing - make sure '''''"Hide extensions for known file types"''''' is de-delected in Windows file / folder options > view -> advanced settings. Otherwise Windows may add a .txt file extension that you won't be able to see, and that will break that file in Firefox. '''prefs.js.txt''' won't be recognized by Firefox, when is expecting to find '''''prefs.js''''' .

Live Video encoding through a flash-enabled web page?

The first paragraph is about using Flash Media Live Encoder, but the rest of describes how to code a custom capture application in action script that will capture the video and send it to the Flash Media Server. And there's code samples with the article. Since the code compiles an swf file, I imagine all you have to do is serve the page through any web server (the article places it in a FMS application directory) and you have live video streaming. Note that you need a media server (Wowza is an interesting alternative to FMS), but I understand that Flash Player 10 can do peer-to-peer video with another Flash Player 10. Hope this helps, this is what I'm going to try.

Do I need to pay $99/year per employee just to test web pages on IOS simulator?

Hi there, I run a small web development shop with 5 employees. We all bought Xcode through the app store and have been using the iOS simulator to test web pages and troubleshoot problems with our customers sites on iPhones and iPads.
I just upgraded to Mountain Lion, and it seems I lost my iOS simulator. I tried to install it through XCode again, and it says I need a developer account, which is $99/year.
We don't develop apps, we just use the simulator to view websites locally and on the web. Does this mean if I want all of my employees to be able to just simply use the simulator to view web pages, that I have to pay $500 per year to Apple? Am I missing something here? Why could we use the simulator's basic features for free under Snow Leopard, but not under Mountain Lion with the new version of the simulator?
Please tell me I'm an idiot and am just missing something about how to install it or configure it. Thanks so much for your help!

See, I am an idiot. It was right there. Somehow I think Alfred lost how to launch the simulator in the update to Mountain Lion. Since I couldn't launch it like I used to, I dug around until I found the Preferences > Downloads screen and had the option to install "iOS 5.0 Simulator" which is when I was prompted to get a developer license.
I never found the Xcode > Open Developer Tool method of locating it.

How do i resolve script errors when trying to print a web page to my photosmart-wireless attached?

I'm running win7 with a photosmart cn731a (mdl d110a) wireless attached.
when I try to print directly from a web page I always get a "script error". Did not have this problem when I was usb attached with same printer.

Firefox won't allow me to print a Web Page. The only option I am given is to Save the Web Page as a PDF File .

In FF 16.0.1 when I try to print a web page I get dialog box to save it as PDF. There is no other choice in the ‘save as type’ box. I do not want to save it; I just want to print it. This happens whether I use ‘file/print’ or the print button on FF. I use Win XP and HP all in one C7280 and no changes have been made recently to either. I looked for FF add- on to disable called ‘hp smart web printer’ that I read about in a closed FF support thread about this same problem but it is not on plug-in or add-on list. I also read in another closed thread on this issue to remove SWP using add/remove programs but its not listed. I believe this problem began when FF upgraded itself to 16.0.1 recently. The problem does not exist when I use I.E. or Chrome so logically it must be a FF issue. Its driving me crazy and I cannot find a solution that works anywhere. HELP please.

The NAME of the printer showed 'document converter'. WELL DUH! That was the problem all along. I have no idea how it got changed but I won't dwell on it. I have never had to look at those 'choices' because I don't need to change anything when I print but its never too late to learn.
