I try to learn basic about XI. Where can I find documents, articles, real time examples about XI.
I have few beginner level questions. Please answer..
1. What is XI? Is it a server?
2. What is the use of XI?
3. What is the real time business process example using XI?
4. What are the basic knowledges required to start learning XI?
5. Does Learning XI include configuration and coding/development?

XI is a EAI tool. It is basically a middleware to connect disparate systems
2. What is the use of XI?
3. What is the real time business process example using XI?
Real time business process example would be sedning credit card data to the Bank for Authorization. This is a synchronous call.
4. What are the basic knowledges required to start learning XI?
Knowledge in SAP would be helpful.
5. Does Learning XI include configuration and coding/development?
If you are a developer then you would need to do only the configuration in Integration Directory and Integration Repository. some amount of coding if you are doing complex mapping

Need Basic Information About Importing Word Documents

I just purchased a 24" iMac, after years of using a G4 running OS 9.1. I still need (primarily) a word processing progam and am considering either Word in Microsoft Office or Pages within iWork. I have used Office on both the Mac and PC platforms for years. However, I don't use the other applications within Office that often anymore. And with a new version on the horizon, I'm not sure if I want to buy Office 2004.
My questions focus on Word documents. I have many Word documents on my G4 that I still need to use. My belief is that if I buy Office, I should have no problem. I need to know whether I can I import these Word documents into Pages? If so, will they look the same (formatting) and can I work with (edit) them? What can I expect?
Also, when friends and colleagues send me Word files as attachments, will I be able to open them in Pages?
I appreciate your replies and any recommendations you can offer. Thanks in advance for the feedback. I appreciate it.

Welcome to Apple discussions.
In general, you should have absolutely no problem opening and editing Word documents. Keep in mind that some of Word's more esoteric features don't exist in Pages, so it may be possible that more complicated documents won't look exactly the same in Pages as they do in Word. But I exchange docs with Word users all the time and have no problems.

customer exits. Using transaction SMOD you can see which customer exits SAP provides. Using transaction CMODyou can see the enhancement projects which make use of these SAP enhancements.
SAP enhancements consist of different components: function modules, screens, etc.

BAdIs (Business AddIns). Inbetween SAP has developed BTEs(transaction FIBF) which are basically dynamically called function modules.

You can use Statspack. You have the most important information and you have an overview of how the database performes.

I Need detail information about Data Cleanse Transform.
1. what is Local Cleansing Packages?
2. what are Directories and Dictioneries.
3. Data Cleanse Transform INPUT , OPTIONS, OUTPUT tabs and usage.

I tried using "EnglishNorthAmericaDataCleanse" transform with NAME_OR_FIRM_LINE1. When I ran the job I got below warning message and my job was success full nut status it shown as failed.
Warning message:
"Trasform Data Cleanse is unable to retrieve cleansing packages from Cleansing Package Builder. Only local cleansing packages are available. Info: Unable to log on: Could not connect to server d184932040.sng1.attens.net:6400. Please check that the server name is correct, and that the server is running. "
Please make me understand, why did I get above message.

Cleansing package is a reference file that contains content and rules around person, firm, title, phone data and so on. Cleansing package used to be referred to as dictionaries. Directories are usually referred to address reference data or address directories. The input, output and option tabs are similar to other Data Quality transforms. For detail information on what each of the input fields and output fields are and how the options work can be found in the Data Services’ Designer Guide (http://help.sap.com/bods).
The warning message you are getting is stating that Data Services is not able to connect to the server to check to see if you have made modifications to the PERSON_FIRM cleansing package. You are not required to make any changes to the PERSON_FIRM cleansing package, but can change rules or content based on your organizational rules. If you want to make changes you will need to install SAP Information Steward. If you would like to install SAP Information Steward you can find documentation for installation on the Help Portal, http://help.sap.com/bods, along with some great Videos.

Suppose if i have jre 1.5 customized with "additional language support" installed in my my desktop, and later on i install jre 1.6. will this jre over write all the esisting settings which was present in jre 1.5?
In short will the version upgrades disable the features of the old Version even though the old version is present in the desktop?

Really need basic information

i am about to change from toshiba satellite a200 to a mac (still confuse of macbook or macbook pro). i want to know and need some basic informations, because it's relly my blind spot:
1. is macbook already enough for design usage (than macbook pro, but i want to know if macbook is already ok)?
2. what about its bluetooth connectivity, could it connect with all kinds of bluetooth?
3. can i install ms. office 2007 without remove its mac os program, and without installing windows program (this one really need a complete explanation i think)?
4. what are the basic programs macbook have?

The macbook is enough machine for you to start with basic design and editing. But you will notice a significant difference between the quality and colors when comparing a macbook to a macbook pro. Either is a good choice but I assure you that you will not be disappointed if you spring for the pro.
The Bluetooth capabilities are great on both machines. you can sink up with phones, other computers, mouses and keyboard, etc. It really is nice.
You wont be able to install microsoft office 2007 since there isnt a microsoft office 2007 for macs. you would either have to go with 2004 which was written for the ppc chipset and will have a little bit of a delay from the translation of the program or go with the brand new 2008 which is written for the intel chips.
