Need Example Tuxedo 8.1 with Oracle 9.2

Hi,
I need an example of code of RM file to setup connection to Oracle 9.2 in Tuxedo 8.1.
Also i need a simple example of a service.c or something to get one field from a table in Oracle, a ubbfile example and how to compile,and run it....
The bankapp sample is too big and complicated.
Thx to all.

Contents of file $TUXDIR/udataobj/RM:

A simple oracle example shouldn't be so hard to find.
Good luck,

  • Oracle Tuxedo 8.1 With Oracle 11g Database

    Hi,
    I have an old application that must be compiled with oracle 8.1 and Oracle9i Database.
    We are migrating to Oracle 11g Database, and now we have some inssues to compile with Oracle 11g Database. For example some Libraries that the Tuxedo XA Resource Manager needs from the Oracle Database, that just u can found on older versions like Oracle9i (kpudfo.o file).
    what can be the solution for that problem?
    An Oracle 11g database config or a Tuxedo config ?

    Hi,
    When you say "Tuxedo XA Resource Manager" I'm not sure what you are referring to. Do you mean the Tuxedo transaction management servers (TMS) servers that are built with the buildtms command? If so, if there are linking errors, it has to do with either your library paths or the RM definition for Oracle Database in the $TUXDIR/udataobj/RM file. Tuxedo itself only uses the XA switch from the resource manager such as Oracle database. Now the resource manager may require a bunch of libraries, which is why I suggested you check your library path. If the above doesn't help, can you post the error you are getting and what is generating/creating the error?

  • Need integration steps of Anychart with Oracle Apex

    Hi,
    We bought Anychart license. When I logged into AnyAchrt there are .zip, .exe and .swf file can be downloaded.
    Please let me know which file from any chart that I need use to integrate with Apex 4.x version.
    Also please let me know step by step process to see final effect of any chart in oracle apex.
    Regards.
    Meda

    Hi Meda,
    AnyChart has been integrated with Oracle Application Express since our 3.0 release. With our latest release, 4.2.1, we have integrated the latest AnyChart 6 release, version 6.0.11, which supports the creation of Flash and HTML5 charts in your APEX applications. Only chart types exposed via the Create wizards in Application Builder can be created using the version of AnyChart that is shipped with APEX. If you wish to create other chart types that aren't available in the Create wizards, then you would need to use your own AnyChart files. I assume the reason you have purchased a separate AnyChart license in is order to create other chart types that we don't license. How you choose to integrate those libraries into your release is up to you. You might find it useful to refer to AnyChart's online documentation for further information on installation: http://www.anychart.com/products/anychart/docs/users-guide/Installation.html?fromtree.
    What chart types does your license with AnyChart cover? There's no need to provide an exhaustive list, but I'm just trying to establish whether your license covers all the chart types that our license already covers. The AnyChart files that are shipped with APEX are used by the Create wizards, Interactive Report charts and internal application chart pages. The related files are contained in the +/images/flashchart/anychart_6+ folder of your APEX install. Your easiest option for integrating your AnyChart files is to overwrite the files that are shipped with the product. ** However, please be aware of the possible impacts of doing this. **
    *1)* As I've already mentioned, those files are used not only by the Create wizards, but also Interactive Report charts and chart pages within Application Builder, etc. So if your license does not cover the same chart types and options as those shipped with APEX, then you will experience issues using the Create Chart wizards, Interactive Report charts and chart pages in your instance.
    *2)* If you do choose to overwrite the files shipped with APEX, then you are essentially modifying the APEX install and will need to interact with AnyChart regarding any issues you experience with the chart files you have licensed.
    *3)* The Create wizards in APEX only expose the chart types covered by our license agreement with AnyChart, so even if your licensed files support additional chart types, they will not be exposed via the Create wizards, and those wizards could not be used to create additional chart types.
    You could, of course, choose to retain the chart files incorporated in your APEX instance, and simply add your own AnyChart files to the +/images+ folder of your APEX instance and then directly reference the files in your code to embed a chart on a page in your application. For an example, take a look at the AnyChart online User's Guide, specifically "Your First Chart" - http://www.anychart.com/products/anychart/docs/users-guide/SimpleChart.html?fromtree - NOTE: in the sample code on that page, the paths to the AnyChart files have not been fully qualified e.g. './swf/AnyChart.swf'. You would need to ensure that you fully qualify the path to your files.
    I hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Hilary

  • How configure Tuxedo 8.1 to Oracle RAC 9.1

    I need to configure Tuxedo 8.1 to work with Oracle RAC 9i, I saw that there's documentation to configure for Tuxedo 9i with Oracle RAC 10g. But this is not my scenario. If someone know how to do this, could send me some documentation or example to apply this. I already read ads.pdf from BEA dev2dev site and this documentation don't talk about Oracle 9i

    Weverton,
    Later versions of Oracle contain significant RAC-related features not
    present in earlier versions of RAC, so Tuxedo
    (For example, Oracle 10gR2 contains support for DTP services, and Oracle
    10.1.0.3 contains support for Fast Application Notification.)
    Because one or more of these features is required for RAC migration and
    recovery in Tuxedo, Tuxedo offers support only for Oracle 10.1.0.3 and above
    for general RAC architectures. (However, there are some specialized RAC
    application architectures, such as architectures where only a single service
    is called in each transaction and architectures where transactions are not
    used where Tuxedo can work with Oracle 9i.) Significant improvements in
    RAC have occurred with each Oracle release, so if it is possible to upgrade
    to Oracle 10gR2 then you should do so.

  • Using XA with Oracle ERP application

    Hi,
    We have two Tuxedo Domains that we need to establish global transaction:
    First Domain - Tuxedo 6.4 with Oracle 8.0.6 database.
    Second Domain - Tuxedo 6.4 with Oracle ERP application (Oracel version 8.0.5)
    A Client that calls a Tuxedo server in the first domain this service doing some work
    on the database and then calls another service in the second domain (using Domain
    connection).
    The service in the second Domain activate a Oracle API (package) from the ERP application.
    The Rollback works but we problem with the commit. We recieve the following Oracle
    Error - ORA-06574: Function "VIEW_ALL" references package state can not execute remotly.

    Subbu,
    As I mentioned earlier in this thread, support for Oracle RAC has been
    implemented in Tuxedo 9.1 and in the Tuxedo 8.1 and Tuxedo 9.0 rolling patch
    streams. There are no plans to backport this feature to Tuxedo 8.0. If you
    plan to use RAC transactionally and if it is possible for multiple services
    that could be located on different RAC instances to be accessed in a single
    transaction (which will be true for most applications), then you should
    upgrade to a version of Tuxedo with support for Oracle RAC. The
    documentation at http://e-docs.bea.com/tuxedo/tux91/ads/adorac.htm#248431
    gives an overview of RAC support in Tuxedo.

  • Regarding OBIEE Integration With Oracle EBS

    Hi All,
    I have installed BIAPPS (7.9.6.1) (components installed are 2 11g DBs (one is OLTP and other is OLAP) on RHEL 4, Oracle Application Server 10g, Informatica Power Center , DAC and OBIEE). After that i need to integrate the OBIEE with Oracle EBS. I have installed 11.5.10.2. I upgraded the database to 10g R2 and applied patch ATG 6 (Pre reqs of Integration).
    Steps Which i have done for integration:-
    I installed Financial module in Biapps. Made changes to that pre built rpd ie:OracleBIAnalyticsApps.rpd using Administrations tool. I have created datasource for EBS and given in connection pool. Similarly in dataware house connection pool also. When i test from Administration tool means Init Block > EBS Security context > Edit datasource. When i click on test the datasource i am getting error NQ_SESSION.ICX_SESSION_COOKIE* has no value definition.*
    I copied that rpd linux box where my OBIEE server resides and changed the rpd name in NQSConfig.INI. I added the oracle_home and tnsadmin etc in user.sh file. I added the dsn names which i created the same in windows in odbc.ini file. But NQServer.log says
    *[nQSError: 43059] Init block 'LAST_SYND_DS_YTD_QTD': Dynamic refresh of repository scope variables has failed.*

    Please let me know any solution for this.

    We are implementing Webservice security using SAML with Oracle Service Bus for our project. We are in dire need of help in implementing the same. We have found some documents (osb console help, osb security) from the oracle web site but those documents have high-level details only. If we get the step-by-step flow and examples of implementing the Webservices security using SAML with Oracle Service Bus, it would be appreciated.
    Requirement details:
    1. Client application has to generate the SAML assertion (token) and pass that token to the OSB proxy service in a SOAP header along with the request.
    2. OSB proxy service gets the authentication token from the inbound request
    3. The token is passed to an SAML Identity Assertion provider and validate the token
    4. If the token is validated successfully then pass the valid token to appropriate business services.
    5. Business services communicates the appropriate external web services after validating the token and gets the response.

  • Oracle Coherence Examples with Oracle SOA suite 11.1.1.4.0 and JDeveloper.

    Hi,
    I am new to Oracle Coherence. I was looking for examples implementing Oracle Coherence step by step so as to get a basic understanding using JDeveloper but most of the examples available are using Oracle Service Bus and Eclipse.
    Could anyone please help me in providing link with examples using Oracle Coherence with Oracle SOA suite 11.1.1.4.0 and JDeveloper.
    Thanks for the needful.
    Cheers,
    Varun

    Hi Varun,
    Please find the answers to your questions below:
    1) Could you please let me know how to use this system property -Dtangosol.coherence.override in my application so that I can coordinate between the cluster used by my application and the one started for using Coherence Node.
    You need to specify this property in the Java Options of your server or cache node startup script.
    2) I was trying to understand how to use this tangosol-coherence-override.xml but the document is pretty confusing. I am not able to understand that whether I am suppose to use it at server level or at application level.
    I would suggest extract the coherence.jar and you it would be important for you to have a look at the tangosol-coherence.xml and tangosol-coherence-override.xml. This file is used to override any of the properties specified in tangosol-coherence.xml for your cluster configuration for example, clustername, multicast ip and port or WKA for unicast, logging and so on.
    3) Another point is how to coordinate among tangosol-coherence-override.xml, coherence-cache-config.xml and -Dtangosol.coherence.override system property from my application
    Ideally you should specify in the java options of your application startup but you can also sepcify using System.setProperty("property", "value") in you code for specifying the various properties
    4) How to use the cache updating mechanisms from an application?
    I am not clear what do you mean by cache updating mechanisms? If you mean how you can update the cache from application then you can use simple Put, Entry Processor and so on. Refer NamedCache APIs to start with for operations but there many other ways to update the cache from within application or otherwise
    Hope this helps!
    Cheers,

    There must be a reference to demoPool lurking around somewhere, I normally do a search inside all the files in the project to solve things like this.
    Also clean up all temporary files and deployments before trying a redeploy.
    If this does not work you can always try configuring the demoPool to use your oracle database, ugly, I know but it may help if your in a hurry to get your code working.

    A Problem With Oracle-Provided 'Working' Example Using htp.formcheckbox
    I followed the simple steps in the Oracle-provided example:
    Doc ID: Note:116534.1
    Subject: How to use checkbox in webdb for bulk update using webdb report
    However, when I select a checkbox and click on the Update button, I get a "ORA-01036: illegal variable name/number" error. Please advise. This was a very promising feature.
    Fred
    Below are step-by-step instructions provided by Oracle to create this "working" example:
    How to use a checkbox in WEBDB 2.2 report for bulk update.
    PURPOSE
    This article shows how checkbox can used placed on WEBDB report
    and how to use it.
    SCOPE & APPLICATION
    The following example to guide through the steps to create a working
    example of this.
    In this example, the checkbox is used to select the records. On clicking
    the update button, the pl/sql procedure is called which will update col1 to
    the string 'OK'.
    After the update is done, the PL/SQL procedure calls the report again.
    Since the report only select records where col1 is null, the updated
    records will not be displayed when the report is called again.
    Step 1 - Create Table
    From Sqlplus, log in as scott/tiger and execute the following:
    drop table chkbox_example;
    create table chkbox_example
    (id varchar2(10) not null,
    comments varchar2(20),
    col1 varchar2(10));
    Step 2 - Insert Test Data
    From Sqlplus, still logged in as scott/tiger , execute the following:
    declare
    l_i number;
    begin
    for l_i in 1..50 loop
    insert into chkbox_example values (l_i, 'Comments ' || l_i , NULL);
    end loop;
    commit;
    end;
    Step 3 -Create SQL Query based WEBDB report
    Logon to a WEBDB site which has access to the database the above tables are created.
    Create a SQL based Report.
    Name the report :RPT_CHKBOX
    The select statement for the report is :
    select c.id, c.comments, c.col1,
    htf.formcheckbox('p_qty',c.id) Tick
    from SCOTT.chkbox_example c
    where c.col1 is null
    In Advanced PL/SQL, (REPORT, Before displaying the form), put the following code
    htp.formOpen('scott.chkbox_process');
    htp.formsubmit('p_request','Update');
    htp.br;
    htp.br;
    Step 4 - Create a stored procedure in the database
    Log on to the database as scott/tiger and execute the following to create the
    procedure.
    Note: Replace WEBDB to the appropriate webdb user for your installation.
    In my database, I had installed webdb using WEBDB username, hence user webdb owns
    the packages.
    create or replace procedure chkbox_process
    ( p_request in varchar2 default null,
    p_qty in wwv_utl_api_types.vc_arr ,
    p_arg_names in wwv_utl_api_types.vc_arr ,
    p_arg_values in wwv_utl_api_types.vc_arr
    is
    i number;
    begin
    for i in 1..p_qty.count loop
    if p_qty(i) is not null then
    begin
    update chkbox_example
    set col1 = 'OK'
    where chkbox_example.id = p_qty(i);
    end;
    end if;
    end loop;
    commit;
    /* To Call Report again after updating */
    SCOTT.RPT_CHKBOX.show
    (p_request=>'Run Report',
    p_arg_names=>webdb.wwv_standard_util.string_to_table2(' '),
    p_arg_values=>webdb.wwv_standard_util.string_to_table2(' '));
    end;
    Summary
    There are essentially 2 main modules, The WEBDB report and the pl/sql procedure (chkbox_process)
    A button is created via the advanced pl/sql coding which shows on top of the report. (The
    button cannot be placed at the bottom of the report due to the way WEBDB creates the procedure
    internally)
    When any button is clicked on the report, it calls the pl/sql procedure chkbox_process.
    The procedure is called , WEBDB always passes the parameters p_request,p_arg_names and o_arg_values.
    p_qty is another parameter that we are passing additionally, This comes from the checkbox created
    using the htf.formcheckbox in the report select statement.
    The pl/sql procedure calls the report again after processing. This is done to
    show how to call the report.
    Restrictions:
    -The Next and Prev buttons on the report will not work.
    So it is important that the report can fit in 1 page only.
    (This may mean that you will not select(not ticked) 'Paginate' under
    'Display Option' in the WEBDB report. If you do this,
    then in Step 4, remove p_arg_names and p_arg_values as input parameters
    to the chkbox_process)

    If your not so sure you can use the instanceof
    insurance,
    Object o = evt.getSource();
    if (o instanceof Button) {
    Button source = (Button) o;
    I haven't thoroughly read the thread, but I use something like this:if (evt.getSource() == someObjRef) {
        // do that voodoo
    ]I haven't looked into why you'd be creating a new reference...
