Need help in printer selection

Hello everyone.
I print occasionally (about 10 pages/month on average) and I have a pretty old ink-jet printer. I am contemplating to replace it with some color laser printer and the reason is the ink-cartridge(s) dry-out every few month usually at the time I want to print something and long before I use even half of the ink. My understanding is that toner cartridges for laser printers do not contain any liquids and therefore do not dryout. HP tech support claims that toner would last for up to a year. So my Q(s). are: does someone has an experience with toner cartridges lasting longer than a year?  How the toner cartridge eventually dies: slowly fades or suddenly stops printing? Also, which printer might be best suitable?

Hi,
Just use the internal table to print the data in main window.
for first line which has not batchspitted(main line item) put condition as POSNR NE INITIAL.
and for batch split items, you already made posnr as '0000',
so put condition as POSNR eq INITIAL.
I think this will solve your problem.

    Bear with me please. I read tons of articles on this but somehow as a newbie to MAC (girlfriends sick daughter), I am missing something. 10.5.2
    Currently, she can print directly if we plug in the HP Deskjet printer directly via USB to the MACBook. No problem.
    When we first got the MACBOOK I tried setting up the MACBOOK wirelessly to recognize the workgroup where the printer was attached via USB to the Windows XP PC. However it printed out garbage since I did not know there was a difference between XP printing and MAC (Gutenberg/gimp printing/drivers).
    Now I know there is a difference.
    But in reading various instructions, I no longer can find how to connect the MAC to the Windows workgroup. Note we do have a printer set up currently as USB-HP Deskjet on the Macbook (not sure I need to delete it yet).
    I went to System Preferences on MACBOOK and clicked on printers, more printers. In the drop down box was CANON, APPLETALK, IP HP printing and Firewire. There was no WINDOWS selection as I saw in other online web instructions.
    So not sure how to proceed to find a way to:
    1. Connect to Windows workgroup (click on what exactly), step by step please!!
    2. Add correct HP Deskjet 5490 printer (perhaps there is one with Gutenberg or perhaps I need Gutenprint-really not sure what I am talking about)

    Any chance of posting the Protocol you used to connect to your printer with your laptop?  I'm have the exact same problem printing from my MB.  Same error message "..is busy".

    Hello, I need help with a select statement.
    I have a table with 2 fields as shown below

    Mark | 2
    I need a query that returns everything where the name has type 1 or 2 but not type 3. So in the example above the qery should bring back all the "Mark" records.

    As usual I have been stuck for a while on what is probably a very simple solution so perhaps someone can help me, thanks.
    I have a portfolio page to which I post a url to filter the portfolio type (0, 1 or 2) and display the results.
    It works ok except that I can't get the url right to show all records. I have tried things like
    /portfolio.php?websitetype=1&2
    and
    /portfolio.php?websitetype=*
    /portfolio.php?websitetype>0
    Perhaps I need to change my select?

    i need help with my all in one  printer it will print sometime and sometime it won't but it won't print anything off the internet and it won't print off word pad either and when it does print everything come out backwards tell me what is wrong and what i need too do to get it too print the right way from left to right and not right to left please help this is a problem and i have a lot of stuff too print out before friday off the internet much appreciated.     define the two variables in the global definition as
    g_cnt type sy-tabix.
    g_flg type c .
    ->in the initialization tab pass the internal table that is the main window.
    g_cnt = lines( the table name which you are using in the main
    window before the footer).
    Now you have the total no of lines in the g_cnt.
    in the loop which is in main window create the program line pass the output parameter as g_flg.
    in the condions tab give the condition as g_cnt = sy-tabix.
    in the source code of that program lines
    g_flg = 'X'.
    now for the footer where you are displaing the text coutinued on next page for in codition tab give the condition as g_flg = space.

  • Need help using the selection tool

    Hi all,
    I have some strange (to me) occurrences while using the 'quick selection tool'...
    Explanation
    I'm using PS Elements 11 on a Win 7 (64) PC.
    What I want to do is to create a new pic from an existing pic.  The existing pic's background is unsuitable for what I want.  But the FG is what I need.  I thought that selecting the FG object and placing into a new pic would be what I needed using the <quick selection tool>.
    To do this, I am trying to use the <quick selection tool>.  I've had varying degrees of success using it.  One main thing I don't understand & pretty much renders my project useless & undoable, is the fact that whenever I use <refine edge> so that I can refine my edge selection, my pic is immediately lost or taken away.  Since I have no idea as to what's happening, I am forced to close the pic (W/O saving changes, of course) & then re-opening the pic.  All's well until I click the <refine edge> button again, then, my pic disappears AGAIN! 
    My guess is that maybe the pic is somehow transformed to a layer or something.  But, how can I turn this behavior off and not make my pic disappear?? 
    There are a few more details about this <selection tool> that I'm muddy on.  Is there something where I can read more about its use?  I would love to know more, but how?  Where?
    I've now read the online manual part about selection tools.  Although it shed some light, I'm still needing more.
    I am not a constant user of PSE, rather,  I only use it on occasions.  Normally, I use its scanning features.  I may play around with a few other features, but I also know that PSE offers many other powerful features, I rarely, if ever, use.

  • Need Help with Printer Please

    I am a new MAC user. So please, if you have a solution for me, speak slowly. (LOL)
    I have the new G5. Bought the Epson printer to go with it. It's the CX4200.
    I loaded the software for it. But can't get it to print. It seems the computer won't or can't find it in their list of printers.
    Ok, so I go to a Word Doc., for example. And select print. The window says that I need to select a printer. I hit the arrow down button and there's my printer listed. So I choose that, but still won't print. Seems I have to go down to another line in the same box and find the printer in this long list. There are many Epsons listed but not mine, which is the CX4200.
    And darn-it, tech support on the phone is closed at 6pm!!!??? I sure hope to see a reply soon. I really need to print something tonight.

    PS: This process asked me to choose an OS for my G5. I have no idea what my OS is. All's I know is I have a G5. Gosh, I feel soooo dumb!

    What have you done so far?
    I suggest you connect it via a usb  cable first.  Once you get the printer working, move to wifi.  You will have to use an existing printer usb cable or purchase a cable.  Be sure to get the correct cable.  Ask for help.
    The warrenty indicates there is phone support.  Give HP a call.

    I am building a database application in Java and now i need to print some reports ....
    I need to get the data from the database .. do some calculations , and then print in on paper.
    I checked online and got some tools like JasperReports, jfreereports, ReportCat, etc. so I was wondering if somebody can suggest whats the best.
    In my report I will have to print more than one table on one page.
    for example:
    if I have 4 Invoices. then i will have 4 tables .. one for each invoice.. and each table will contain
    the elements for that Invoice.If all can't fit on one page then it needs to go next page.
    I would like to do all this stuff in Java without using any reporting tool ... but I am not really sure how this can be
    done .. can someone give me an idea ... as per how this can be done .. will really appriciate all the help.

    Usually the BEX is slower than the web applications.BEX needs a lot of resources on the client computer.
    Are you using any macors / VB code to do some processing before display the query output in BEX ?

    I am using above SQL select statement for fetching the XML records and this gives me all related xmls for each entity in a single record(OP, GM, DM. DE). Output of this SQL query is as below:

    A few questions :
    How's your first query supposed to give you an XML output like you show ?
    Is there something you're not telling us?
    What's the content of, for example, <OP_PAYLOD_XML1> ?
    I don't think it's a good idea to embed the node level in the tag name, it would make much sense to expose that as an attribute.
    What's the db version BTW?

    this data selection is for displaying data in smartforms.
    I have a internal table passed on to the Smartforms where i have the Main item and its batches.

    And in the coding i have made the posnr for batches as 00000 for someother purpose.
    now i need to display a text after an item and its batches.
    like :
    Item Prodcode description Qty uom Picked Factor
    batchNo batch qty reel size to ship qty
    10 19501 material description 200 M 0 3
    Batch1 200 482448
    Batch2 200 482448
    Special instructions :
    i used the following code in the Smartforms to display the Text.

    its ok now if the data in the internal table is like this without any batches.

    it is not getting the data for the text.
    Actually in the code i have written to read the next record in the internal table and if it is greater than 0, i will write the TEXT before writing the next item.
    But if the next record is 0000, how to code it.
    and the main this is , the text has to be written only after writing the item and its batches.
    please tell me how to do this.

    Hi,
    Just use the internal table to print the data in main window.
    for first line which has not batchspitted(main line item) put condition as POSNR NE INITIAL.
    and for batch split items, you already made posnr as '0000',
    so put condition as POSNR eq INITIAL.
    I think this will solve your problem.
