  • Need help with BARS 4.0.12 - 4.0.13 upgrade

    Hello,
I'm a VoIP noob and need help with a BARS upgrade. To resolve a known problem (Bug #CSCsi32637) we need to upgrade BARS from 4.0.12 to 4.0.13. This is per TAC. However, no one in our company has done this before. I've reviewed the 4.0.12 Admin Guide since I was unable to find any admin docs for 4.0.13. However, I have several questions about this upgrade that hopefully someone here can help with:
    1) The install for 4.0.12 requires a reboot of the server. Is this the same for 4.0.13?
    2) CCM version is 4.1(3)sr6; any problems known with BARS 4.0.13 and this version of CCM? I didn't see
anything in the Rel Notes or via the Bug Toolkit (figure it never hurts to ask).
    3) Will the previously input configuration settings (i.e., Data Source Servers, Storage Location, Schedule) be preserved or will I have to reinput these settings?
    4) Any known issues with performing this upgrade while controlling the server via VNC?
    5) The 4.0.12 docs state that "To successfully back up the Cisco Unified CallManager database, the backup server and backup targets must exist in the same cluster and have the same version of BARS installed". So BARS must be installed on my publisher (the Backup Server) AND my three subscribers? I'm not finding BARS on these subscribers now.
    Many Thanks for any input,
    Brian Read

    1) Yes, any version requires reboot after install
    2) not that i'm aware of
    4) you'll need to reconfigure it
    5) no
    6) although it's recommended there is no real need to backup any other server than the PUB which contains the master DB, any SUB only needs to pull the info from PUB in case of crash and reinstall

  • Need help timing titles on black video

Here is what I’ve been doing but maybe there is another (better way) to do it… I select Black Video from Edit and it automatically shows up at the beginning of the timeline. Next I select Title from Edit and type the title, intros, etc. The title will play for 4.5 seconds, but the Black Video will play longer or shorter (if I increase or decrease the duration). I would like to be able to increase or decrease the duration of the title within black video.  Like have the title, intros, etc., fade in and out on a black background after so many seconds. Thanks for any and all help.

Possibly an easier way to do what you want is to not use the Black Video beneath your Titles. So long as you do not change the background of the Title, you will get black.
Now, in Timeline View Mode, use a small segment of Black Video. Normally, I start all Timelines with 02 sec. of Black Video for a couple of reasons. I create the Black Video (New Icon>Black Video) and then Dbl-click it to open it in the Source Monitor. There, I set the Out Point, so that I get 02 sec. Duration. I drag this to the start of the Timeline. Then, create you Titles as needed, and place them behind the Black Video on the same Video Track. If you wish another Title Duration, than the default, in Edit>Preferences>General, set the Duration for Still Images (note - this is in Frames, so you might need to do a bit of math). Between your Titles, use the Dip-to-Black Transitions. You will get the same effect as having the Titles over Black Video.
Hope that this is what you need, and that this helps,

  • Page URL's and Nav Bars

    Reposted question:
Internal URL is often more than 300 chars, but the nav.bar URL does not
store more than 256 (Could that be an possible enhancement?)
Is there another way to do an navigation to an Portal page ?

One long URL we must use is the "Customize" (page) link. It is 351 chars long.
The reason we need that link is that we don't want to use the built-in banner (we have an HTML-portlet page instead). So there was no other way in Portal 3.0.6 than to create our own customize page link by hard-copying the dynamic link for Customize for each page. And that link is around 350 chars long.
Is there possibly any new way in 3.0.8 to create an own dynamic Customize page link ?
Else, we hardly need the Nav.bar to hold more than 256 char URL.

  • Help needed with a Nav Bar and PHP page.

    Hello, i'm designing a website
    http://www.ahcagency.com for
wich i create a nav bar in FW and exported the html to DW and
inserted in a template so that way i update all the pages from the
template. Everything works fine, but i have a login page for a
secure area inside the same website and on the
    http://www.ahcagency.com/login.php
page i have the problem. The nav bar has 7 buttons, if i insert the
first 3 buttons on the login.php page works very nice, but when i
insert all the 7 buttons the login.php does not work at all. Also i
insert the nav bar in all the php pages inside the secure area and
all works fine, the probles is only in the login page.
ANY ADVICE, I'M DOING SOMETHING WRONG?
Also when i create the buttons i gave them the four stages,
but only the 1st stage and the rollover work.
what i want is if i click on the services page, the services
button stay down while i'm on the services page.

If the usual method does not work, you can also do this manually.
    # Open your profile folder, for details of how to find it see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Profiles
    # Close Firefox
    # In the profile folder delete key3.db, signons.sqlite, and if they exist signons.txt, signons2.txt and signons3.txt
That will delete all passwords and remove the master password.

Uloading ebook using iProducer rec'd error: ERROR ITMS-9000: "Unable to parse nav file: toc.ncx" at Book. I don't understand and need help fixing it. Please Help if you've the knowledge.
    Many Thanks

Yep, i just did it again. The entire scroll-bar widget, complete with formatted text, graphics, etc., pasted itself nicely in another book. Two different files, the same widget.
I use the scroll-bar widgets for most of my texts. (I have audio buttons on the side, and the scripts are within the widget, to the side). My only text is within widgets, and text boxes, naturally.
I am following your recommendation: cleaning files, etc. I am remaking the book anew. I need to convince the EPUB bot or whatever that my file looks and works nicely on all my devices. You would expect an error message when previewing the book: 'Hey Amigo, your file is flawed, stop working on it, and get back to the drawing board." Should be able to try again next Monday.

If you have not done a factory reset on the device, I recommend doing a complete  factory reset.
Factory Reset  - Warning this will reset device back to original factory settings.
This method will not erase any MDN/MIN information
    Turn off the phone
Press Power + Volume Up/Down at the same time and hold until display will show a triage android screen
    Display will show:
    Reboot system Now
    Apply sdcard:update.zip
    Wipe Data/Factory Reset
    Wipe Cache Partition
Use VOL Down key to scroll down to "Wipe Data/Factory Reset", press home icon to select option and wipe device.
Display shows "All user data will be wiped out", press VOLUME Up to continue or VOLUME Down to exit.
    Press Volume Up
Press Home to select "Reset System Now" - device will reboot
If the problem persist I recommend having a store technician take a look at the device.
Copy and paste the link below into your browser's address bar for the store locator.

  • I need help with a flash nav and switching pages!!!

is there anyway to point the browser to play a swf file from
a specific point (labeled frame) in the movie after switching
    (html) pages?
basically it's a nav bar that needs to be played from the end
of the movie after the first opening (html)page.
I know i can do this with frames, but i would love to avoid
that if possible. and the only other option i know would be to have
2 swf files. there has to be a "on(load) /gotoandplay() or some
combination to make this work, it seems to be too close to not be
    possible.
    thanks for all the help.

SHouldn't be too involved. Just set a variable with JS (or
    whatever
language you can use, I used JS simply b/c you stated HTML
    pages, not PHP or
ASP), then in your flash movie, have your first frame do a
    basic if/then or
do a switch (if it's available in AS).
    if ($var==1){
    gotoAndPlay (1,1);
    elseif ($var--2){
    gotoAndPlay(1,2);
    etc.
Alternately, you could set a session variable, but you would
    have to have
    dynamic pages to do that.
