Need Information from Central System

Hello Friends,
I am working on an application in which in dropdown we want to display the server lists . In our case we have a central system which works as a SLD. Now my requirement is to call a RFC from Central system which provide me the list of all servers with SLD has been configured.
After selecting the server value , I want to fetch the user information on the basis of user id on that particular server.
Can someone pls suggest me how to implement this ??

Hi,
You can use GENERAL_GET_APP_SERVER_NAME Function module to get the servernames not sure if it will work with SLD or not.
But I am curious if you need the server names, I think you should be looking for RFC destination names available in the central system which can be retrieved from RFCDES table.
There will be a lot of other FMs which you can use to get the RFC details once you have RFC details you can call each system with the user ID details.
You can call function modules like ISR_GET_USER_DETAILS to get the User details based on SAP IDs.. there are standard FMs in each system to read such data, if the FM is not RFC enabled then you can create a wrapper FM to get the details from destination system.

The file you'll be looking for that has most of what you're looking for - messages, address book, etc. is the Entourage Database. The verison of Microsoft Office I run (on Lion) is Office 2008. By default the Entourage Database for this verison is at user/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2008 Identities/Main Identity/Database. That folder (Main Identitty) also has your rules, signatures, and such. You'll have to recover this file from whatever backup you have. If you have a different version of Entourage, the file location will be a little diffferent.

For any external database like oracle or sql, you can use JDBC Connector iView.

Going from centralized system to distributed system

Hello,
We would like to go from a centralized system and to a distributed system, having the database and the central instance on different servers. Could you please tell me if there is a procedure to do this or do we have to reinstall ?

normaly it is easier to move the DB to another host.
Moving the CI you will need a new License Key, you will have to reconfigure all SAP Clients (SAP GUI) using the new hostname.
On the other hand before splitting the CI and database you should add additional Application servers (dialog instances).
Normaly you will not be able to utilize all resources of the database host, with just one application server installed on a separate machine. (valid for equal hardware configurations of both machines).

Are you trying to connect to the remote machine?
There are a few limitations of Kerberos Configuration Manager tool.
The tool will only work in a single domain scenario. So, if you have the service installed in Domain A, but want to use a Service Account from Domain B, we won’t be able to discover and correct the issue appropriately.

Automatic Email Alert from Central System

Hello,
Would like to ask for someone knowledgeable with setting up central auto-reaction approach on SAP System. Currently we are configuring our R3 system with this capability for us (recipients) to inform immediately if certain Critical Business Process fails. However, we have made a customized function module that determines the alert information and sends them to our central monitoring system (Solution Manager) by means of RFC (remote function call).
Our problem now is that, when we intentionally failed one job to test the functionality of this alert and inform the recipients, we found out that no alert notification has been received by the recipients.
Would you advice any steps or process or documents that I could use for verification on my set-up.
Or any inputs would be highly appreciated.

First check if the function module u r using is calling the program to send mails through SMTP,, next check the SCOT configuration, and the authorisations for the message server.
It would ber helpful if u could post the error number in SOST( status text)

Have you purchased the ESPN Radio app for your X - I need information from you

I purchased the ESPN Radio App last year. Now it shows that it is incompatible for my Droid X.
I need to know if you can see it in the market on your phone, or if it shows compatible with your Droid X in the web market. I also need to know what version your Droid X is installed on your X.
I do know that a factory reset may clear up this issue, but I would like confirmation from other people that they can see it, because if I do the factory reset, if I can't install it afterwards, I will be pretty upset. It does work for the most part (it does get into a restart the phone mode on somedays, restarting the phone 3-6 times, but other days it works flawlessly) , but AirKast updated it to 3.0 recently, and I would like the updated app. In fact, any AirKast radio app shows incompatible, and AirKast finally answered one of my tweets to them. Their customer service sucks. I have sent emails from 3 different email accounts, tweets, and they finally asked what the problem was when I tweeted to one of their customers saying that I could not install their app. They claim that it should not be a problem. This is why I am trying to collect information.

Tagging on to what Glenn is saying (FWIW I agree with his theory), What Glenn means is the number EIS93130B006 translates to:
EIS v9.3.1.3(the EIS9313 part) Build 6 (the "B006" part)
These are debug log statements coming out of EIS "trace" is generally the most verbose & chatty level of logging. everything any developer has written to be logged will show up in the log if the log level is at TRACE. I think you might want to check the logging level of your EIS and raise it to something akin to "Warning" to eliminate these log entries.

This is of course right but TKPROF has also some limitations: for example TKPROF does not report values for bind variables but you can find them in raw trace file.

Need help from Color System/Profile gurus plz!

ok here goes...
I shoot Nikon NEF files (Raw). I use a variety of converters, then move on to PS etc. For a long time I have noticed that the color of the Mac thumbnail in the finder is nice and warm looking, but then when various Raw convertor programs (including Nikon's own Capture NX) get a hold of it, it generates a picture with much more magenta, and not nearly as "golden" as the thumbnail looks.
I would *guess* this has something to do witjh how the Mac generates thumb files for Raw files. Where can I learn more about this? In hopes of one day getting the color from that thumbnail into my raw programs? I suspect it has something to do with color profiles, conversion methods, color tables etc. but I'm totally unsure where to start looking for answers.

I don't know why it has _unknown. Most apps are owned by root and are part of the admin group. Other options are for them to be owned by the user that installed. The group can be read only or read and write. I'm not sure whether that is important.
As I don't think you can do this in the Finder, copy and paste this command in Terminal. You will have to be logged in as an admin user. It will change the owner of Abby Fine Reader to root and set the group to admin. After pasting the command, don't hit return but drag the Abby Fine Reader app to the Terminal window. Then hit return. There should be a space after this command, so if it doesn't paste that way, add the space before draggingsudo chown -R root:admin
If that still doesn't work, give this one a try after doing the first:sudo chmod -R 775 Again, drag the app into the terminal window. That will change the group permissions to read & write.

I Have a solman 7.0 EHP 1 and my doubt is that I try to automate a few tasks in the solman across the dswp in system monitoring administration and once to have the productive environments, I puncture in the task and once inside when I force a test in start transaction that we find selected the task goes out for me the following mistake: Call of SP12 is not possible: Program/Transaction/URL cannot be called.

If you are asking abt the flags that you see in RSA1 -> Tools -> BW Stats...you can check BW Stats for each and every infoprovider. Whenever you create an infopprovider you should always decide whether you want to turn on the BW Stats for this infoprovider. This is a manual step and can be done in each and every box individually or can be transported across the systems. Coming to your question...BW Stats are of two kinds...
1) OLAP -
If you check this flag for an infoprovider...all the statistical data for the queries built on this infoprovider gets updated into the corresponding infocubes (0BWTC_C02 and 0BWTC_C03). An example would be like number of users that ran the report in a given time, the average run time of the query and so on. This data is of immense value in deciding the steps for performance tuning techniques like aggregates!
2) WHM (Warehouse Management) -
If you turn this flag on for an infoprovider, all the statistical data like how often the cubes are loaded, when are the requests deleted from the infocubes, data abt condensing of cubes and so on is loaded into the corresponding cubes like 0BWTC_C04, 0BWTC_C05, 0BWTC_C09 and 0BWTC_C11.
You have to activate the infopackages to load into these cubes and schedule them through process chain to run once in a while so that your statistical data is uptodate.
Production support for maintaining the process chains primarily involves monitoring activities of all the chains that are running in the background...
Errors in monitoring of process chains can be categorized into 4 different sections...
Master data - Full Update
Master data - Delta Update
Transaction data - Full Update
Transaction data - Delta Update.. in terms of loading of data which can be due to server shut down or system maintenance... errors due to incorrect entries in the OLTP system in which case you'll have to fix the errors in the PSA and manually load the data...
Otherwise it can have errors on Attribute change run being locked by some other job... Aggregate Roll up failing because of attribute change run being run at the same time... Problem with hierarchies and save hierarchies...
There can be problems with the data store activation if the ODS object contains any incorrect request sitting inside it... then, you need to delete the incorrect request and reload the data again...
In case of Transaction Delta failure, you'll have to request for a repeat either manually in the infopackage or using the repeat option if available on right clicking the load event...
For Master Data Delta failures, you need to do an Re-init by deleteing the previous initalization condition in the "initalization option for source systems" in the menu scheduler or reschedule the enitre chain... because, master data generally do not support repeat of last delta ...
Majority of the issues will be based on these things only..
