Hi,
XI runs on the WebAS double stack, an ABAP stack and a Java stack.
The adapters in XI runs on the Java Stack (with a few exceptions) and the Integration Engine which does the Logical Routing - Receiver Determination, Interface Determination and calls the adapter runs on the ABAP stack.
The CPA cache shows you the Cache (configurations converted into a system readable representation) on the Java Stack.
SXI cache takes you to a view of the cache on the ABAP stack.

Error in SAP Netwear Installation. sxi_cache Cache is obselete
Hi all,
I am trying to install SAP Netwear. I have installed it on MS SQL Server,using the guide SAP Installation SR1 on MS SQL.
I have been facing problems from the time i ran the template installer.The step 9 for creation of Creating RFC Destinations in the ABAP Environment had some errors so had to manually configure the RFC Destination to INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI. I have tested this Creation it has give a Error Code 500 Internal Server Error (The right error code according to the SAP Library)
I have run all the other steps and they have run sucessfully.
I am trying to go to sxi_cache transaction but there the error is the cache is obselete i tried to do a delta refresh (F6).It gives and Error ID Update and Error description as:
<b>com.sap.aii.ib.server.abapcache.CacheRefreshException: Connection to system REPOSITORY using application REPOSITORY lost. Detailed information: Error accessing "http://hydhtc100107:50100/rep/hmi_service_swc_manager/int?container=any" with user "XIDIRUSER". Response code is 403, response message is "Forbidden"</b>
Please give me inputs how i can solve this issue ... do i need to go to any other transaction and activate cache,so tht i can view the cache being updated.

I also face the same problem when i have access the administrator tab on the front end screen which has Intergration repository/directory/SLD and runtime workbench.
One more problem is that when i access runtime workbench it says ure forbidden
Please give me inputs totally confused with all wht has happened.

Problems in SLD and Cache refresh (SXI_CACHE).
Dear Experts,
I am facing SLD and Cache refresh problems in PI 7.0 on HP-UX.
1) SXI_CACHE : Last Error During Cache refresh is showing LCR_GET_OWN_BUSINESS_SYSTEM - NO_BUSINESS_SYSTEM error. And also Start Delta Cache Refresh / Start Complete Cache refresh are in deactive mode (Frozen).
2) SLDCHECK : Log says No Business System for ABC Client 100 ".
where ABC=SID. Business System INTEGRATION_SERVER_ABC is declared in SLD and client 100 is assigned.
My question is : Is this a BASIS or DEVELOPER issue? Also please let me know if you have any solutions for the above mentioned issue. Thanks in Advance.

Since this is an PI system, your XI consultant must have created/will need to create business systems in SLD for the scenario to work properly. This error is because it cannot find the business system.
You cannot point out the fingers on Basis or XI and say that it is THEIR issue. Please consult with the consultant who is doing the XI interface and check if the business systems he require are properly created in SLD. If not, create them or ask them to create it (if they are allowed to..).
From the error, what i can see is that you have defined an integration server INTEGRATION_SERVER_ABC in SLD . the XI interface is checking the required business system in the integration server INTEGRATION_SERVER_ABC in SLD but cannot find it over there. Please check the integration server INTEGRATION_SERVER_ABC in SLD and talk to the XI consultant and you will be able to fix this with their help.

Idoc to FI scenario - Help needed

Scenario: Idoc to file:
I am trying to push COSMAS01 from SAP R/3 systemt to PI 7.1. I did the following
1> Configured the IR and ID
2> Did the ALE config on the sender R/3 system and also pushed idoc using BD16. I also see the status of the idoc as 03 (Send to port ok). However when I run IDX5 and SXMB_MONI, I dont see any message . idoc received.
Let me know where do I check to troubleshoot this issue.
I also have a doubt, Do I need to distribute the model from BD64 to from R/3 ? Is it needed?

I was able to move a bit further. The isse was in SM58 on the sender R/3 side. The message was the sender port was not configured in IDX1.
I just did and cleared tRFC and it worked now. However the message in SXMB_MONI is in error. This is the error message.

RFC to XI to File (FTP) Scenario ? Need your help
Hi XI Experts,
currently I am into one the problem where I am doing one scenario which has the case of executing RFC on the SAP RFC side and based on which I will be getting the output table which will converted to XML by SAP XI and then we get that to download to FTP server as xml file only initally.
error I am facing below:

1) Open Interface Determination in ID and check if correct source and target interfaces are entered there.
2) Also check the name of the Interface/ Operation Mapping whic is included in the Interface Determination
3) Make some dummy change to this Interface Determination and again activate
4) Check the ache Status in ID --> Environment --> cache Status Overview
5) In SXI_CACHE check if the Interface mapping and Interface Determination are present
6) If needed perform a cache refresh

SXI_CACHE refresh fails with RunTimeError
We see the status in SXI_CACHE as "Cache contents are obsolete". When we try a delta cache refresh , it gives a runtime error like below and we are stuck unable to test XI objects!!

What happened?
Error in ABAP application program.
The current ABAP program "SAPLSWDD" had to be terminated because one of the statements could not be executed.
This is probably due to an error in the ABAP program.
Error analysis
Attempt to access a component using 'NULL' object reference (points to nothing). An object reference must point to an object (an instance of a class) before you can use it to access components (variable: " ").Either the reference has not yet been set, or it has been reset to 'NULL' by a CLEAR statement.

Not able to transfer Integration Process in ID. Also not seen in SXI_Cache

I am trying a BPM scenario. I have created all design objects along with Integration Process in IR and saved and activated the same. Issue is : I am not able to transfer the Integration Scenario from IR in ID. I am also not able to see the created integration process in SXI_Cache under Integration Processes node. but in order to use Integration Scenario in ID you need
to create it in IR first and Integration Process is not the same as
integration scenario
you can only transfer Integration Process to ID as an Integration Process
(under services without party node)

Ok, back on topic. I am sending an message to XI and I get an error in my Monitor saying:
Error while refreshing XI runtime cache.
So, I used the transaction: SXI_Cache and used the option: XI Runtime Cache | Start Complete Cache Refresh. After trying to do a refresh I got an error in the status saying:
Last Error during Cache refrsh
HTTP status code502 Proxy Error ( No data record is available. )
Now I have 2 questions:
1. What does't exactly mean?
2. How can I fix this?

You need to maintain the cache RFC in XI u need to create the RFC destination in XI
Please check whether RFC is created or not in XI.

->In SXI_Cache you mainly check the status of the Integration proceess.0 means the IP is fine and 99 means there is a cache issue.
->In SXMB_MONI there are two entries when BPM(async) is used (i.e) from a buisness service to BPM and from BPM to Buisness service.In the second entry click on PE. This take you to the <b>workflow Log</b> of the BPM.
*Here you can look at the <b>graphical log</b> which points out at which step you have gone wrong in the BPM.
*The <b>technical details</b> can also be looked into for finding out what goes into each containers in the BPM. The following blog will help you go about the technical details of the BPM.

I Need help with the following error:
Hi, I am getting the following error:
<b>BPE_ADAPTER">SYSTEM_FAILURE_INTERNAL</b>
I have looked at some of the other threads that deal with this but since I am new to XI I am not sure where to look. I have tried to activate in SXI_CACHE and I get a code of 99 with the following error. I did not get this error in the QAS environment, only when it was moved to Prod. We have cleared and reset all of the caches and am still getting this error when I try to activate in SXI_CACHE:
<b>E 'STATUSCODE' is not a component of data object 'PAYLOAD'</b>
Can someone point me in the right direction to fix this? We just moved it to prod and need to get it fixed asap.

816430 interesting as well, but the first one should help you solve the problem.

If those are already in your system, have a look at note 996631. This could be

Cache : A memory area where frequently accessed data can be stored for rapid access.
SXI_CACHE: A memory area where the information about the design and configuration objects of the J2EE stack is stored in temporary ABAP data dictionary tables. The integration engine uses it at the run time for accessing the appropriate design and configuration objects of J2EE stack.
Two types of cache refresh:
1.Delta Cache Refresh: Any new objects that have been created/modified during the design/configuration activities are inserted into the temporary database tables when we use delta cache refresh option.
2.Full Cache Refresh: All entries in temporary cache tables are deleted and a background program for inserting the complete information about all the design/configuration objects.
Many actions require you to access System Landscape Directory content from the Integration Builder. To optimize performance, this content is loaded into a cache so that the System Landscape Directory does not have to be accessed directly each time that System Landscape Directory content is required.
However, this cache is not automatically updated if changes are made to the content of the System Landscape Directory. For this reason, SAP recommends that you delete the System Landscape Directory cache if changes have been made to content in the System Landscape Directory. The cache is then filled each time that the System Landscape Directory is accessed. If you log on to the Integration Builder after you have made a change in the SLD, you do not need to delete the SLD cache.
To clear the SLD cache, from the Integration Builder main menu, choose Environment --> Delete Cache for SLD Data -
OSS Id and Developer key info needed
Hi Experts,
We raised a request to create a OSS Id for our server to SAP BASIS team. They created a OSS Id, but we couldn't see our system's IP address in marketplace site with the Admin person's( The person who created our OSS Id) userId. So, they couldn't create developer key for our server. I think that the Admin person had done some mistakes.
The OSS Id what they have created is not for our server, this we came to know from his Service marketplace userId. We don't have proper OSS Id, so that they couldn't create developer key. What is use of developer key? If we don't have proper OSS Id and no developer key then, what all problem we have to face for PI 7.0 and ECC 6.0 access.
The PI server was working fine for sometime, but now we are getting cache issues and BPM scenarios are not reflecting in the SXI_CACHE. Is these issues because of the OSS Id and developer key or some Post-installation steps are missed out?
We are going to install PI 7.0 and ECC6.0 and we need a proper OSS Id this time. Do we need to mention our server IP address while raising the OSS Id request to SAP marketplace?
