Need Search help to appear on Multiple Value Screen - Monitor SC

Hello All,
We have a requirement where we need to add a new field in Monitor Shopping Cart screen. This field is at the item level and should be able to take in multiple values.
The problem we face is - On getting the multiple value screen, the search help for the field is dissappearing.
We already have a standard field 'Purchase Group' for which this functionality is provided and the search help works for the multiple value screen.
Please provide any pointers to how to fix the problem. Would the problem be on the ABAP side or the HTML side?

Jsut to see in the error is on abap side, sign on in SRM sapgui and run /n then bbp_mon_sc to enter the monitor SC application.
Navigate till your Zdevelopment field and check it

Now I have a table where I want to get the Crate Numbers where these fruit items reside.

I thought maybe this needs to be done using collections but I am not familiar with this function, if their is another way I would appreciate it

Hi Frank,
I find that in this sort of case, it is easier to create a link table containing the individual values rather than lumping them into one column.
so the data is stored in the 'Crate, Fruit' format, rather then the 'Crate Fruits' format.
It is a bit more work maintaining the link table when the values are amended and populating the shuttle, but it is a 'proper' relational table then.

Search Help with more than one value back

Dear Experts,
We added two customer fields to the SC.
For the first customer field we created Search Help.
When picking any option from the search help we need TWO values back u2013 one value to the first customer (the field with the search help) and the second value to the second customer field (the field without the search help).
Can you please advice how can we have TWO values back from the search help?

Search help for table control input value

Hi,
We have designed a GUI for supply invoice approval workflow with table control.
In the table control fields, we assigned one search help on one field.
We can enter the values(F4 Help) up 8 row in the default screen, which is having 8 row.
After scrolling down for 9th row, I am not getting any F4 help, which I am able to get upto 8 rows.
Please any one could help me in this...

Did you assign the search help to the Search Help of the Attributes -> Dictionary tab of the field?
Irrespective of scrolling, the F4 help should work for the field in table control.

Need some help in Rounding a double value to a whole number

Need some help here, I got a method that returns a value in double after a series of calculation.
I need to know how can I round the double value, so for example,
1. if the value is 62222.22222222, it rounds to 62222 and
2. if the value is 15555.555555, it rounds to 15556

I have a z-table. One of its fields has a z-data element with z-domain which has a value range. I have a requirement to add a search help on selection screen field which is parameter for mentioned field of my z-table. How can I do that?

Hi,
Where you want to add the search help, i mean in report or in screen painter.
In Screen painter, you can take the reference of Z-Data Element by Dictionary option in Screen layout.
If it is report, you can use F4 function module(F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUES) or can creat the elementary search help in DDIC and give it as MATCHCODE OBJECT in PARAMETER statement.

Need search help for Profit centre

Hi all,
I am struggling to facilitate profit centres in SRM. I am quite close to it. I have done some config changes and could get the profit centre option in web browser under cost assignment. The POs are going through in R/3.
BUT the searchhelp is not available in the web browser in the next field "Assigned to". There are different search helps available in the program LBBP_PDH_ACCF32 for different account assignment categories but not for profit centre.
Let me know if there is some search help available somewhere in SRM for profit centre.

Hi. Profit centres, like cost centres, doen't exist on SRM as an entity. What the system does for cost centres is it holds a key to which system this exists on (eg the logical system name for R3). When you search for cost centres on the account assignement screen the system runs a search help on the R3 backend.
My guess is that you would need to configure the system to act the same as with cost centres and run the search help for profit centres on teh R3 backend.

1. do we want to add any property for search help in the property window?
2.do we want to create a MODULE PROCESS ON VALUE REQUEST ?

Input Help on the Screen
Within the Screen Painter, you can define two types of input help:
1. The FIELD statement with one of the additions VALUES or SELECT.
2. Linking a search help directly to a screen field.
If you link a search help directly to a screen field, it overrides the additions of the FIELD
statement. However, the input check [Page 581] functions of the FIELD statement remain
unaffected.
Input Help in Flow Logic
The following input help methods are obsolete and should not be used. They are still supported
for compatibility reasons.
In the screen flow logic, you can specify a value list for a screen field <f> as follows:
FIELD <f> VALUES (<val1>, <val2>,...).
The value list contains a series of single values <vali>. The NOT and BETWEEN additions for the
input check [Page 581] are not appropriate for input help.
You can also create a value list by accessing a database table as follows:
FIELD <f> SELECT *
FROM <dbtab>
WHERE <k1> = <f1> AND <k2> = <f2> AND...
In the WHERE condition, the fields of the primary key <ki> of the database table <dbtab> are
checked against the screen fields <fi>. The WHENEVER addition, used with input checks [Page
581], is not necessary for input help.
If you have used a ABAP Dictionary reference for field <f>, the selection and the hit list formatting
may be affected by any check table attached to the field.
Attaching a Search Help
Search helps from the ABAP Dictionary can be attached to a screen field [Ext.]. To do this, enter
the name of the search help in the corresponding field in the attributes of the screen field in the
Screen Painter. This assigns the first parameter of the search help to the screen field. It is only
possible to place a value from the hit list onto the screen.

When the user chooses the input help for the individual fields, the following input
help is displayed:
For the Airline field, the search help displays the names of the airlines and places the airline
code in the input field for the chosen line. If the airline code is not one of those listed in the
VALUES list of the screen flow logic, the input check triggers an error message in the PAI
event. So the search help overrides the VALUES addition for the input help, but not for the
input checks. This is therefore not an appropriate place to use the VALUE addition.
For the Flight number field, the flow logic displays the selected entries from the database
table SPFLI and places the selected line in the input field.

Search help for custom entries in selection screen

Hi Gurus,
I have a requirement of adding four entries as a search help to a selection screen field P_TABLE.I tried using the function module F4IF_INT_ TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST as below.I want to add four entries Revenue,Cost,RIH and Summarised WBS Actual Data for the selection screen field P_TABLE but the problem is the function module is not getting triggered.

Creating a search help for a field in selection screen

Hi All,
There are 3 fields in the selection screen. They are
 WERKS
 DATE
 MATNR
Enter a value WERKS = 2465.
When I press the drop down menu for MATNR, it should only give the material number available for 2465.
I think, I should create a search help for it.
Kindly help me to create a search help for the material number based on the above condition.

Change Search help for Location in Schedule creation screen(NWBC)

My requirement is to change the standard search help for Location field in Standard stop sequence of Schedule creation in NWBC.
Presently, the search help for the location field is a webdynpro component WDR_F4_ELEMENTARY .Is there any possibility to replace with the custom search help.
Can anybody please let me know how to replace the search help.

I suppose you may create a component customizing for /SCMTMS/WDCC_SCH_C_LOC_ATS, and maintain your DDIC search help for location ID, this will replace the one assigned in structure:
You may only maintain DDIC search help here, but if you have a custom developed search help, then you may need to go with another approach, in viewexit class (/SCMTMS/CL_UI_VIEWEXIT_SCH) adapt_fields (ADAPT_FIELDS), modify the attribute 'WD_VALUE_HELP' = custom search help.

Need some help with my xorg.conf My screen "flickers".

Hello. I have a problem with the refresh rate on my screen. I don't know what values to use in my xorg.conf.
It's a lenovo thinkpad x61 (not tablet).
The problem is that when something is moving on the screen, the image flickers and I get some lines across the screen (horizontal only). Like 1part of the screen doesn't follow the other part of the screen.

I've tried that xorg in both kubuntu&Arch.
It worked in kubuntu but not in Arch.
I've tried alot of media players and both intel&vesa drivers.
Tried Xgl (don't know if it's working) but there is no change.
Maybe if the codecs are bad of the way the media players handles the files.
I need help with this. Or else I can't live with arch.

I need to update coherence cache value of a particular object.

In the documentation it says in order to call non static methods we need to retrieve the handle.
but when I try to cast to a handle it fails.
I'm inserting data to coherence cache by calling Managed::create method. Is this method making immutable object.

Hi Sura,
It is a matter of safety and correctness. The in-process caches return a locally held object, and thus if you made some change to it, that change would be visible within the in-process cache, while not visible to the remote cache. Thus future access to the in-process cache would see a value which does not actually exist in the remote cache. While it is true that if you modify it with the intent to immediately re-insert it this shrinks the window of incorrectness that window still exists, and of course the cache has no idea if you will ever reinsert the value. As for the effect on performance it should be insignificant if you actually do put it back in the cache as the cost of a cache update will easily be multiple orders of magnitude greater then the cost of the clone. Also remember there is no requirement to clone a value if you don't intend to mutate it, you can safely use it via the View. So the only time the performance cost of the clone could be considered significant is when you intend to mutate but not reinsert the data, but a clone is also necessary there as not cloning it would leave the in-process cache in an inconsistent state with respect to the remote cache.

Needing "search" help to find a video

Hi, I am looking for a certain virtual video, and with my search, I'm not coming up with anything. So I decided to write and ask if you knew where I could look, or what exactly I should put in the search fields??
You know how at a gyms "spin class" they have a virtual video for you to watch, where its actually like your biking through whatever is on the screen. I am wondering if there was something I could get on iTunes that is similar to that for walking/ running on the treadmill.
I know there are websites that sell DVD's online, but that doesn't help when your at a gym and cannot put in a DVD! =)

smercurio has already asnwered you with good tips. Generally speaking it is not a good idea in C to have the callee allocate memory and return it to the caller. Instead the caller allocates the necessary memory and passes it to the callee to be filled in. The other way around will require the caller to have specific knowledge about the memory management routines used in the callee and make everything rather complicated. In terms of LabVIEW with its own quite different memory management you really get into difficulties if you try to do it backwards.

I need some help re lines on start up screen.

Hi I have a mac pro 2.8 2 x quad processor running snow leopard.
When I boot up horrible lines come up and wont start my mac. I have tried booting from cd/dvd but it freezes and wont let me start up.
Don't know f disk is corrupt or if another hardware problem. Please can someone help.

does "horrible lines" mean horrible lines of text or actual lines (like you'd draw with a pen and a ruler) across the display? If the latter you most likely have a hardware problem (could be a number of things, but is most likely a bad graphics card). If it's lines of text, what kind things does it say near the end?
