Need to incorporate the error message in ''phap_create' T-code

Hi HCM Gurus,
I am new to PM Module ,  I've a requirment While attaching the apprasie attachment through ''phap_create'  i need check for file size. check if file size is more then 1 MB i need to give a error message to user. Could you please any one help me where to incorporate the code  is there any sepcific BADI .

Maybe you are missing a step:
After creating and activting your new badi implementation:
- Call transaction OOHAP_BASIC
- Go to "Enhancment area", select the BS-Save appraisal document row
- Double-click on "Enhancement" subfolder (at the left)
- Add new entry with your new implementation.
After the previous steps:
- In the appraisals catalog (PHAP_CATALOG), double-click on your app template.
- Go to "Processing" tab,
- click on button "Further Template Behavior"
- In the dialog opened click on "Add Entry (F5)" button (or press F5)
- In the list showed, select the "BS" - "Save appraisal document" and 'enter'
- In the new row added with the previous selection, go to the blank cell and call matchcode (or press F4)
- Select your new implementation
- Press 'enter'
- Save your changes and release the template.
Now you should be able to debug or to see your "save" validation.
