Need to Resample the Image
Dear Friend,
Resampling concept is not working through coding. Can anyone help me.
Dim oPSDapp As Photoshop.Application
Dim oPhotoDoc As Photoshop.Document
oPSDapp.Preferences.RulerUnits = Photoshop.PsUnits.psMM
oPSDapp.Preferences.TypeUnits = Photoshop.PsTypeUnits.psTypeMM
oPhotoDoc.ResizeImage(90,,,5)
--90 --> width
--5 --> PsBiCubicSharper
Thanks in advance
Abu
Dear RubUOut,
Thanks. It is working fine.
I need to reduce the width of the image. Normally in Photoshop while reducing the width, we uncheck the 'ReSample Image' option and reduce the width size by default the resolution get reduced. This concept only we required through coding.
How to uncheck the 'ReSample Image' option while reducing the image width.
Thanks and Regards,
Abusufiyan

Do I need to reduce the images size in pixels before upload them to M.Me?
Do I need to reduce the images size in pixels (actual size jpeg 5616 × 3744 pixels/766kb) before upload them from iPhoto to a Mobile Me Gallery?
Otherwise they will be heavy or the upload process take care of that?
It would be nice that iPhoto took care and optimize the images to display online without any more work, because I´ve 1200 images to upload and they´re jpegs 5616 × 3744 pixels. It´s just to viewing purposes. Not o download or print.
Thanks.In fact no matter if I use a High or Medium compression size JPEG, the size after upload is the same.
Starts with 1,5 MB/5600px (high) or 780kb/5600px (medium) JPEG and ends after upload in 115kb for a 1024px image.
This means that iPhoto auto compress in order to publish to Mobile Me, even if we start with a bigger file.
I hope this info is useful to others.
Thanks. -
CMTRACE The subsystem needed to support the image is not present.
the subsystem needed to support the image is not present.
I have a x64 bit winpe. I am trying to add a cmtrace to a winpe. Getting an error "the subsystem needed to support the image is not present",
i though it was related to a wrong architecture. So i added both. Still getting the same error.<o:p></o:p>
How can i make sure one of added exe's is a true x64. And can this error be related to something esle?<o:p></o:p>
Thank you.<o:p></o:p>Run cmtrace.exe on a x64 machine and leave it running...
Launch Task Manager and find the application with the description: CMTrace_amd64.exe. IT will have a random name like TRA401A.tmp.
Go to the %temp% folder and grab that TRA401A.tmp file, copy it to wherever and give it a unique name like CMTrace64.exe.
Now you have the x64 version of CMTrace.exe

Help needed for downloading the image from Inage URL
Hello everyone,
I need some help regarding setting a timeout for dowloading image from image URL
Actually I have a hash table with set of image URL's...
for example:
http://z.about.com/d/politicalhumor/1/0/-/6/clinton_portrait.jpg
which gives a image.
for(Enumeration e = google_image_links.elements() ; e.hasMoreElements() ;) {
//System.out.println("final");
//System.out.println(e.nextElement());
try{
System.out.println("Images download started....");
//System.out.println(e.nextElement());
//imageio is the BufferedImagereader object
imageio = ImageIO.read(new URL((String) e.nextElement()));
image_title = created_imagepath +"\\"+ array_words[i] + counter_image_download + "." + "jpg";
img = ImageIO.write(imageio,"jpg", new File(image_title));
imageio.flush();
}catch(Exception e1){
System.out.print(e1);
if(img){
System.out.println("The image " + image_title + " has been saved to local disk succesfully.");
counter_image_download++;
}//end of for loopi am using the above code to download all the image from the Image URL's that r present in hashtable.
The problem i have been encountered with is...
Some URL's does not return any bytes, The code is not totally broken. In such cases, my code is hanging off at that particular URL and waiting to get some output data from the URL. The execution does not proceed furthur But if the URL is a totally broken link, the code is throwing an exception and I am able to handle it successfully.
But in the case of partially broken links, I am not able to go furthur because the code keeps waiting to get some data.
So for this reason I want to setup a timer and tell the code to wait for 5-10 min, in that time if it does not get any data, proceed furthur to download other links...
Please tell me how can I do this.. or plzzz tell me an alternative...
Please help me ans its a bit urgent plzzzz.

Need to Upload the image into XMII server from a desktop
Hi,
Can anyone let me know how to upload the image from my laptop on to the server which i should be using in my pages. I tried using Image Loader and Image Saver. But it lead me no where. Is there a detailed documentation for this ?
Thanks for your help in Advance.
Regards,
Deepthi lakshmi.A.Hi Deepti,
Could you give some details on what you are trying to achieve.
Is this a use case scenario where images need to be uploaded by a handful of people using some web UI?
or
Is this a use case scenario where you wish to upload images from the harddrive of absolutely any user?
The reason for my questions is as follows.
If you wish to allow some high-level (technically savvy) users the ability to upload images to be shown in dynamic content for remainder of the public, you could, in theory, set up a network directory that xMII is able to see. These High-Level users could drop their images in the folder and specify the path in a text box.
You could go one step further and use Get Folder List action from within an Xacute transaction and display the list of images in this folder on a web UI. Users could pick the image from the list and "Bob's your Uncle!".
Hope this helps,
Cheers,
Jai. -

Need to see the image in the oracle
Hi
i stored the image in one table and now i want to see that image from toad or any other tool
please helpWhat sort of column did you store the image in? One of the interMedia columns? A BLOB? A LONG RAW?
You're probably not going to find a general-purpose application that is going to read data out of a binary column, figure out that it is an image, detect the encoding of the image, and display it. If you're storing things in an ORDImage column, there are probably some special-purpose data visualization tools. Generally, though, folks that store images in the database are writing applications that know how to extract and display those images.

I keep getting the message that I need to download the new update for ipages when opening old documents. The latest update that I have download was done 11/24/13. When I check for updates it shows that there are no new updates available. I downloaded Maverick a few weeks back on to my iMac. What is the issue
You have both your older iWork apps and the newer Maverick apps on your computer.
The new Maverick apps are in the Applications folder.
The older iWork apps are in the Applications/iWork folder.
Of the two, the older iWork apps are more useful so don't throw them out.
Check out about Pages 5, keeping the older Apps and how to manage updates here:

I need help reducing the image size...PSE8
I have some photos that I won't be enlarging/editing (just want to keep them in catalog) that are large MB size files. I want to reduce the size of these photos and still see them large on the screen. Can anyone tell me what resolution I should enter to do that?
For example what ratio would I enter for this photo:
I have a photo that is 3.55 MB (JPG), PSE8 says my file is 55.556 inches x 41.667 inches at 72 dpi.
When I open the resize Image option it says my pixel dimensions are 34.3M showing the width at 4000 and the Height at 3000
This photo is one that I don't plan to edit - I just want to keep in my catalog at a smaller size for screen viewing. When I have tried to reduce the size it shows up small on the screen (at 100%).Or chosing smaller inches still keeps the file in large MB size.
Why is it you can send an email in KB sizes that show up full screen but I can't get this reduced and it show up even be that big when it still says MB size?
I hope this makes sense, I am new to PSE8 and not sure if I explained this well enough.
I appreciate any help!,
Thank you,
AngelaAt the bottom of the screen, turn on Resample Image. Then enter a size in pixels for the longer of the two sides (figure this based on your monitor's pixel dimensions).
I wouldn't do this to an original unless you have a copy elsewhere. -

JAVA, sqlserver - Need to load an image from the sql server database
hi,
I need to load an image from the sql server database using java. I have connected to the database and getting all other records except the records for a photo (datatype = LONGVARBINARY) and Remarks (datatype = LONGVARCHAR).
I am using java and sql server db. The photo and remarks are stored in the db. and i need to show the image and the remarks fetching them from there.
I get the error :
Thread-9 org.hibernate.MappingException: No Dialect mapping for JDBC type: -1
How can I achieve this?
Thanks,
GargiExactly. And are you using MySQL?
No. You are using Microsoft SQL server if I have to believe your initial post. A quick google tells me that the dialect class to use is:
org.hibernate.dialect.SQLServerDialect -
