Need to retake my programmer certification?

I have been out of touch of Java technology of some years. I got my certified java programmer 2 years ago and now it is already expired.
I wish to go for the Java Certified Developer and found that it requires Java Programmer certification. What shoud I do? Retake the programmer certification?

please first understand the difference between a subject (your header) and its body line, please never write so long subject matter.
Now coming to your queries , what you thinks being at Australia or US is free of Cost. The first thing is that i don't understand your mission for taking Certifications, Are you a working proffesional because for more than 2 yrs. of working experience, you don't need any training , you can take direct examinations.
And if you are not a working professional, i don't thing taking any certification will serve any purpose in your job hunt, although it will enrich your Resume only, you will nothing get out of this from just taking a vertification
So, please tell us that you are a fresher or having real time working exposure in SAP SD module, then any one will guide you well.

Programmer Certification Exam

Hello,
I am going to take the programmer certification exam. It looks like that the exam for 5.0 contains a lot of different things other than the exam for 1.4. Can anyone tell me if it is still valuable for the market having the certification of 1.4? Or should I prepare for the 5.0 exam directly? Since I am looking for a job, I want the certification available as soon as possible.

Either learn the language properly (for which it might help to have a goal in mind, and studying for an exam (not cramming, studying) can be that goal), or cram for the exam to get a piece of paper.
The end result is the same, you get the piece of paper. But the piece of paper is useless to most recruiters, except maybe those in India trying to lure unsuspecting European and American companies with "90% certified staff" slogans which in Europe and the US are now generally recognised as useless.

Am I ready for Programmer Certification

Hi, I've been studying for the Java2 Programmer Certification exam for about 1 month. I read Robert's book twice, yet when I took his practice exams on the cd for the book I only scored around 70% to 75%. Should I take the exam with this score on mock exams? Also, do employers check your exam score or do they just accept that you are certified?

Well if the person you are interviewing has no prior(on the job) programming experience then obviously he does not not have enough practical Java experience to be useful, but i think he is not trying to hide behind a "test score".
"If you are a pretty good Java developer already and you have come professional experience, I would actually discourage taking the test."
Why would you say that? If you have held proir programming positions with past companies why would obtaining a certification be detrimental to a prospect of possibly being hired?
Look at most of the people comming fresh out of collage with a computer science degree who had fortran and Pascal, and every other dead language under the sun. To me they are worthless. "Jack of all trades master of none"

Need help with Business One Certification

I need help preparing for the B1 certification. I have taken the test once already and failed. I found it very tricky with multiple correct answers for each question.
I have gone thru the eLearning several times now. And this week I am taking the instructor led training. I have also purchased and studied the Ebook. I have a good grasp of the product, but I feel that this is not enough to help prepare for the test.
I want to know if there are any other resources I could use to help prepare for the test. Are there any practice exams

when I was studying for the 2007 certfication I found the info in the DRC & the ETSs very good.

now for the problem. The exercise I am doing requests me to include the following:
1) I need to parse the value to tryInt in case 2:
2) Likewise in case 3: I need to parse the value to tryDouble
the problem I have is that as you will see I have declared all variables and I am not allowed to declare them again within the switch statement. According to the exercise nothing more needs to be done to the application, meaning that there were no instructions on anything else needed to be done. According to the instructions I am 100% sure that I need to do 1) and 2) within the switch(choice) I am so stuck and I would appreciate help.

No the instruction is as follows....
1. Type a class header and an opening brace to begin class.
2. Type public static void main(String[] args) and an opening brace to begin the main() method header
3. Declare the following variables using the code:
String strChoice, strTryString, strTryInt, strTryDouble;
int choice, tryInt;
double tryDouble;
boolean done = false;
4. Begin a while(!done) loop to repeat as long as the user does not click the cancel button.
5. Inside a try statement, enter code to display an input box as shown in figure (THIS IS CORRECT)
6.Type choice = Integer.parseInt(strChoice); on the next line to parse the value for the choice entered by the user.
7.Create a switch statement to test for each of the three choices. Type switch(choice) as the header and then press the ENTER key. Type an opening brace.
8.Enter a cas statement for each of the 3 choices using pages (blah blah) as a guide (did that), for coding the switch, case and break statements.
-case1: If the user enters 1, Display a message to inform users that they are correct, as any data can be saved as a string.
-case2: If the user enters 2, ***************where i have a problem*********************parse the value into tryInt.Display message.
etc. etc. It states that I need to do the parse within that specific point. Please help.

Till now, I have gained knowledge and experience in PL/SQL. I have no experience, but do have knowledge of DBA stuff.
I need to provide a list of desired Oracle trainings to my manager so that he can arrange for them.
Also, which certifications are beneficial for me.

Need clarification on SAP NetWeaver Certification

I am having six months experience in SAP. Now I have planned to take NetWeaver certification. I know the following ways.
1) Attend an Instructor-led ABAP Certification Academy(25 working days, 8hrs/day, 5 days/week, approx Rs.3 Lakh) at an SAP Education Center or Partner such as Siemens, Genovate etc.
2) Attend an e-learning course at an SAP Online Contact Center(flexible times, no instructor, approx Rs.1,25,000)
3) Get your company to endorse your ABAP Experience and sponsor your certification(approx Rs.28000, exam only, no materials, no training!)
4) Register for SAP TechEd and hope they offer a complimentary certification like they do every year(3 days, lots of fun, should be around Rs.15000, no training, a few materials)
But I heard that there is one more way of doing that, without affording such a big amount and having less experience. Is that true? Can anyone help me out?

Suppose a note X says corrections are delivered in the attached correction instruction, then its enough if we implement that specific note X.
=>Before implementing those correction verify whether that X note applicable to your system release. Also verify is any manual code correction instructed in that note.
If we go to correction instruction then it may have several other notes, do we need to implement all those notes specified in correction instruction 1st and then implement main note or directly we can apply Main note X.
=> Before implementing those correction verify whether that X note applicable to your system release or its already implemented in your system. All these Prerequisites need to implement before final correction.
If we apply main note obvisoulsy all the notes within correction instructions will be implemented.

Do I need to download a programme to enable me to install my CS6 standard suite?

I have downloaded CS6 standard suite from adobe but when I click to open it says I don't have to right software to open in. I have an iMac. Do I need another programme installed on my computer to enable me to install the adobe suite?

It says : There is no application set up to open the document. Search the App store for an application that can open the document, or choose an existing application on your computer
