Need to show the text as 2009 - 10
HI,
I am enter the fiscal year value as 2009 at the run time. how to show the text value as 2009 - 10 on the same report.
Is it possible without creating "Customer Exit" ?

I created 2 text variable for 2009 - 2010. 2009 (ZYEAR1- Replacement path) is populating from the year variable (ZFY) which I resticted. For pupulating 2010 (ZYEAR2 - Customer exit) I wrote a customer exit. I checked in the customer exit it is showing 2010, but it is not populating in the variable screen...
WHEN 'ZYEAR2'.

As far as i know u do not need any special web item to display the text variable as such. have a analysis item in u r WAD and assign query to the same. Ur variables appear as per the configuration u have made in the query designer. WAD has nothing to do.

I have a PDF with a diagram, I need to translate the text so I open it in Illustrator. The document opens up vertically oriented I try to put it horizontal to be able to read and change the text However everything I have done is not working The artboard does change, but the diagram stays vertical.....Please help I need to finish that for today..Please help
A PDF usually consists of one to an indefinite number of clipping masks inside each other.
You need to be very carefull with selecting stuff.
So you need to read the manual on how to select stuff and on the basics of Illustrator.
On top of that: because of the complex hierarchy of PDF files, it is kind of difficult to help you without seeing anything. -

Go to messages >> communication method , change the field Cover Page Text with ur po number and send. This is a manual process which you will have to do it for each po.
Now if you want to automate this then you can ask ur abaper to write a small program which will copy the po number to this field.

Report doesnt show the text for employee ids.....
Hi guys,
I am facing the following issue.
We have a report which is fetching data from the infocube.Whenever we check the report we are facing the issue : report doesnt show the text for ~10 employee ids,its showing the key in both key and text columns, its showing both text and key for the remaining employee ids.We checked the master data for employee id and it contains master for the employee ids which are not displayed text in the report.
Can any body help on this.

for your infoobject do you have all three texts available (short, medium and long)? Are all three loaded? You might have the wrong text displayed in your report. Check if you have the short, medium or long texts displayed. Dont forget to check the languages too ....

Need to get the texts of fields

I have a req in which I need to populate the values from a table and pass it to the front end.
But I need to provide the text of the fields in the internal table also so as to decrease the processing speed in UI.
Scenario is like tis.

I need to consolidate both these tables into a structure cost_cntr_tab which willl have the structure :

I.e. In column A the values of field A will come and in A_text the field label of field A will come.
suppose field A is carrid then carrid = AA
carrid_text = Carrier ID
Please advice how to achieve this.

I'm picking up all of the data script related to the sending / receipt of an e-mail along with the e-mail itself and can't find a way of not showing the text. Obviusly only a command but can't find it! Help!
Shift-Command-H is the key-combo to switch 'Long Header'/'Standard Header' .

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button

Clear the cache and remove cookies only from websites that cause problems.

Need to Show/hide text on later page dependent on Button
Ok, I am VERY new to Acrobat forms. I am trying to use Acrobat X to build a large custom survey PDF form to be used on a variety of Tablet platforms (PC/Android/Mac) so I am trying to limit any "special" coding that different platforms might not support.
I have scanned the discussion boards and found lots of close examples, but nothing quite fits.
Situation is like this. I have a LOTS of Radio Boxes, and Pull downs (16 pages worth)

Some are exclusive (only one valid choice) others support multiples ( condition one AND three)
Easy so far....
SEVERAL (16) PAGES LATER there is a SUMMARY page where I want to display (or not) the descriptive Text associated with SOME of the earlier choices.
Pretty Summary Header, date project numbert etc....

I understand (sortof) that I can have a Variable "red_list_1" that can be true/false and that will affect a line/field back on the summary page....
The following is a cut-n-paste ROUGH of what I think I need... it hasn't been tested (yet) and I am sure there are typos. There are LOTS of examples of scripts that make things appear/dissapear (like the following) but I am trying to find a SIMPLE one that will the best when there are lots of them....

Ok...a couple of things I don't yet get...
Can I combine statements/functions like I used to in (insert old language here) like

On my Summary page, do I need lots of fields that hide/disappear, or can I build one Monster field with lots of stuff inside it?
If I have lots of fields, how do I get them to flow nicely together?
My form is HUGE (16 pages of questions) , so I will have lots of text that 'can' be copied to the summary page, is there an easier way to build such a thing?
Lastly, and this is may be a question unto its self... If the "Summary" needs to go onto a 2nd (or more) page, how do I make sure it will "flow" nicely?
Note: The nice thing is that the filled in form -IS- the final product. I don't need to upload it, syncronize it, or otherwise send it anywhere. I will save the filled in form for reference and edits (if needed) but the client get a copy of all 17 pages (16 + summary) and thats it.
Oh yes...I am using Acrobat as it works, is supported, and doesn't need the cloud and will run on standalone devices with no cloud connectivity. Once the surveyor has the form they can go anywhere with it, complete the form, even print a copy of it, without needing to upload anything.

You have a couple of different options, You can have a condition on the form and report. So you choose the condition as something like Request = Expression 1 for the form and enter CREATE. Then in the report user Report != Expression 1 and enter CREATE. That way it will show the report all the time except when CREATE is pressed.
If you want to make it a bit more sophisticated you can use a Dynamic Action, so you have a dynamic action that has a true action of show the form and another true action of hide the report and then the opposite way round in a a false action and set the false action to fire on page load.

The text dependency property is called LabelFor.

That uses binding to give the textblock text property the value of LabelFor.
You could instead put your markup directly in your usercontrol and bind it like that.
This bit would then pretty much cut and paste in

You would need two of course if you have two textblocks.

People have suggested dependency property to you because this is how properties on wpf controls work.
If you instead chose to use properties then you lose the ability to set value by style, animation, binding etc Your usercontrol will not behave like a wpf control. This might not really concern you if you're just working on your own on an app.
It would if you were working in a team though.
Personally, I would reject code which exposed regular properties from a usercontrol at walk through.

This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. For instructions, launch the System Preferences application, select Help from the menu bar, and enter “Set up guest users” (without the quotes) in the search box. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode* and log in to the account with the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Shut down your computer, wait 30 seconds, and then hold down the shift key while pressing the power button.
When you see the gray Apple logo, release the shift key.
If you are prompted to log in, type your password, and then hold down the shift key again as you click Log in.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
*Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t boot in safe mode.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of steps 1 and 2.
